Our family owned a skateboard/bike shop in SoCal when BMX was first starting thru 2010 but never NEVER did I think someone could do what Ryan Williams does. He's AMAZING, this from a grandmother in my mid 70s.

Maybe not surpass him but I completely agree otherwise. And he gives these sports what it has been missing SINCE Pastrana and the boys back then: Feeling. Personality. I still watch X Games don't get me wrong, but now I only watch like 5 events now for the tricks, if new ones come. But I don't really ROOT for anyone anymore. I root for R Willy.

I think that's where that comes from, people don't want trav to be replaced. But people should expect that others were going to take Travis legacy and take things to the next level, it's what he would want

@dwayne1655 it's EXACTLY what he wants. He wanted it even while he was competing. That is the type of person Travis is. He is a fan as much as he is an athlete. He taught every other rider how to do backflip tricks when he learned how. He taught others how to double backflip. WHILE HE was doing them. He has always been that way. R Willy is the same way, that's why we love him. And people need to realize that time moves on. No one will ever REPLACE Travis, but eventually you have to allow others to SUCCEED him. Otherwise what he did goes away, which is exactly what he does NOT want 💯

It is getting dangerous nowadays.. we are about to see deaths in these freestyle sports in the years to come.. that will put a damper on the development for a little while I guess. Maybe force them in to better protective equipment..

@@BobaPhettamine of course! But if they have an accident when it’s not on foam .. It’s always a risk. I know Ailo Gaup has broken most of the bones in his body and some several times to be able to be the first to double backflip a cross bike. Sometime must be the first time you do it on harder surfaces as well.. as snowboarding , it starts to be crazy what they are doing..

imo those nothing front bike flips are the sickest looking trick in action sports, to see some of the combos he is landing and even more so the ones he is attempting is just insane but i think thats why fans love him idk what he or anyone else calls it but at 4:37 that looked like a special flip front bike flip (to bars, i guess he hasnt put it to wheels yet) people talk in action sports about video game tricks but do any games even have either of those nvm both at the same time

One time I flew up a small hill on my bicycle and went airborn.. as I watched my front tire bounce away.. next thing my forks stuck in the ground and the bows of my sunglasses were bent straight out. 😕
