Greetings from Ukraine Neil! As for Minnesota logo, I never heard you to mentioned that eye of the bear head it`s actually the star and the reference to their history (Minnesota North Stars). So I believe it is a moon there because of this star, it is hard to imagine stars during a sunset)

Actually DALLAS owns the North Stars logo. NOT Minnesota honey. It pisses me off as a Stars fan that people think Minnesota owns the logo and color schemes when it’s in fact DALLAS who owns it. Just because the North Stars came from Minnesota doesn’t mean the Wilds own that franchise because they are in Minnesota. Dallas took it with them when they moved here to Texas and still own it. Please get the correct facts.

@@sarahprince2412 yes Dallas took it, but there is nothing wrong with Minnesota having a star in their logo to pay homage to the old Minnesota North Stars, who was based in THE SAME STATE. He didn't even say that the Wild own the name and colours. No need to go reply to someone's comment to correct something they didn't even say.

@@sarahprince2412 actually the NHL owns the rights to the north stars logo, and Minnesota (wild) have established dominance over that color scheme. And Minnesota is the North Star state, that’s why there is a star in the logo

As an Isles fan, I do love the fisherman and I was so pumped when I heard it was coming back this year (though I’m disappointed that there’s no teal). But… the circular crest is so classic. It symbolizes our best times, a Stanley Cup dynasty, and the pride of Long Island. So many people hated the fisherman because it replaced our original crest. To me, that logo is irreplaceable. I think it’s the best logo in Islanders history. With our 50th Anniversary this season, the team’s pride is shown in that crest. The tip of the “i” in Islanders points to the location of Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, and we forever hold our memories in that building in our crest. I love this logo, and I truly believe it is the greatest logo the Isles ever used.

Original Ducks logo is one of my favourite hockey logos as well. Also 100% agree that the Wild logo is not only the best NHL logo but one of the best logos in all of sports and I'm not even a fan of the team. But that logo is just perfect and the amount of detail included is great. Overall in all of sports I'd put it 2nd to only the Toronto Raptors original logo.

Without bias, I think Detroit, Dallas Stars (state outline), Kachina Arizona, Wild, Predators are my favorite

as a Caps fan, give me basically any logo other than our current one. I love the screaming eagle, the Weagle, the capital building, the W from the Winter Classic w/ the Washington Monument in the negative space, just anything but the current logo, which I just find boring (the only worse one, IMO, i the variation for the abbreviated "Caps" from that Stadium Series). The screaming eagle brings back so many memories from my childhood of Bondra, Oates, Gonchar, Halpern, Kolzig, and the like (still have a poster of Kolzig in the blue jersey with that logo). Still wear my Bondra black capitol building jersey when I go to bars to watch games. The current jersey itself is fine, but the logo is just so lame.

Bondra was my favorite player as a kid. That jersey was the first one I ever bought myself. I have such nostalgia for for 90s/early 00s era logo. Would love to see buffalo bring back the "goat head" in the blue and gold. It was a cool logo, though I like their current colors a lot (probably because they're similar to my high school's colors).

@@Jay-yr9oi I heard... hopefully it is true and I think it is... the Sabres are bringing back the goathead but in the original black and red colors as an alternate jersey. it would be nice to see it in blue/ gold but they did do that as a shoulder patch on the reverse retro jersey. I do have a Skinner reverse retro jersey. its one of my favorite jerseys out of all my jerseys

The Colorado one you chose is my top NHL logo as well. Agree with everything you said, plus it's a subtle throwback to the Rockies. I was born and raised in Colorado but moved a few years back and every time I put on a hoodie or a toque with that logo it feels like home. Cheers for nostalgia!

Hope I am not the first person to ever mention to you that the negative space between the two warning flags of the Carolina logo is in the shape of North Carolina. That is why it will always be one of my favorite sports logos.

Actually, the original Flyers logo had a much smaller "P" in the middle, with a tiny red circle in the middle, of the P, both the P and the circle got bigger in the second (and best known) version.

My fav logos are pretty similar. If we’re talking about the GOAT logo, though they are a defunct team, The Hartford Whalers with the best logo in sport’s history.

I love all of my flames logos, but I personally like the normal C one the best, although I do wish they used the scene one more

Agreed except for Flames, Blackhawks, Avs, Stars, Oilers, Devils (unpopular opinion: I love the one with a green outline!), and Sharks (I'm a life-long Sharks fan, and the old-school logo is just one of the greatest logos of all time -- if not the greatest logo of all time). Spot on with everything else though and loved this video Neil.

You seems to gravitate toward logos that went far in the playoffs, especially in the late 90s and early 2000s.

It's rare that I prefer a newer logo to the original, but, in this case I agree 100% (But for the chest, not the shoulders), the cartoony original (And current) "Skating penguin" logo is very tacky and looks like a high-school, or minor league logo

I have to say I do prefer the aggressive Orca bursting through the ice for the Vancouver Canucks and my Mum is a Pittsburgh fan just because of the skating Penguin logo they have now. As an artist i did draw my favourites which consisted of Arizona Coyotes, Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators, Pittsburgh Penguins, San Jose Sharks, Minnesota Wild and Vancouver Canucks.

I remember when you did this video with Justin years back. I really like the Capitals W logo with the capitol building, my favorite logo in the league but my most hated team!🐧

Coming from a Pens fan, I think the current Penguins logo is their best. I love the Robo-Penguin as much as everyone else but I will always love and prefer our current logo.

Other thing Tampa Bay used to have a lot more of, was metallic silver. Never underestimate the power of well-implemented shiny stuff. For Washington, I personally prefer the "weagle" that has the Capitol dome silhouetted in the negative space. Me, I'm a sucker for ingenious use of negative space. For example: next time you see a FedEx truck, look where the E and X run together. See the arrow in there, now that I mentioned it?

As an islanders fan I honestly really like the style and colors of the fisherman jersey. The only thing I dislike about it is the logo, however I did absolutely love the shoulder patch from that jersey, in fact it’s probably my favorite islanders logo

There is something secret in that Buffaslug logo that no one mentions. Going from the tail up the hump, then from the neck to the face and beard...it's the letter B.

I am a Blue Jackets fan, but the one thing I can't stand about the organization is stinger. I love the cannon and the current logo; even the original logo is ok, but I'd be absolutely fine if stinger went away for good.

Cartoony logos are tacky and minor league, and even if they weren't, that cartoon wasp would still be awful

Some of my favourite NHL logos are The Mighty Ducks Of Anaheim,The Buffalo Sabres “Goat” Head which as a kid always thought the front was the back and vice versa,Panthers original logo,Sharks Original logo,Pens Robo Penguin,Tampa Bay Lightning’s original logo,I’m a sucker for the Islanders fisherman logo just for nostalgia purposes and lastly The Winnipeg Jets 90s logo cuz I was born in that era and always loved that logo…there’s others I could mention but that’s some of them!

I prefer the old Jets' logo too, trouble is, the owners of the former Jets' franchise, still own that design and wanted too much money to sell it to the new franchise owners.

As far as the Lightning goes, I’d agree, I really like that logo more than there current one and I hope they bring it back one day

I think the hurricane logo for the Hurricanes is my favorite. It looks like a puck going really fast My top five are probably 1. Wild's bear head 2. Hurricanes spiral hurricane 3. The Flames boar head 4. Islanders fisherman 5. Islanders Lighthouse I don't even like the Flames or the Islanders, they just have some nice logos. I also really like the Redwings and the Blues logos. I really don't like the Penguins cartoon penguin, that Robo Penguin is really nice tho.

I’ve softened up on the Fisherman logo over the years. Years ago I might have given you grief for it but not anymore. It’s not our best logo but I’m cool with those that think otherwise.

Hey Neil, here's my faves over the years: ANAHEIM: Yes, absolutely the original. Someone tell Disney that they should let go of it. ARIZONA: Kachina, naturally. BOSTON: Their current spoked wheel design is my choice. BUFFALO: I have to go with the original because that's what they are - a buffalo leaping over two crossed sabres, hence the name Buffalo Sabres. The Goathead reminds me too much of the Basingstoke Bison. CALGARY: I'm torn between Blasty and the flaming C. Depends on the toss of a coin. CAROLINA: The two flags on a stick logo. CHICAGO: I'd actually go with their 30's/40's logo COLORADO: The mountain logo - why haven't they adopted it as the main logo by now? COLUMBUS: Can't go wrong with the cannon logo. DALLAS: The current logo is fine enough without the Texas outline. DETROIT: The winged wheel. EDMONTON: The oil drop. FLORIDA: The leaping panther. LOS ANGELES: The silver chevron. MINNESOTA: The bear head. MONTREAL: Their current main one. NASHVILLE: I'd choose their retro-esque sabretooth head. NEW JERSEY: The current logo, in red and black. NY ISLANDERS: I'm going with the fisherman logo. NY RANGERS: Lady Liberty all the way baby. OTTAWA: Their current one. PHILADELPHIA: The main one used in the mid 90's. PITTSBURGH: Sorry Mario, I love the Robo Penguin, and so does everyone else. SAN JOSE: Their current one. It really is tearing through that stick. SEATTLE: The primary one. ST LOUIS: The mid-90's one with the red outline. TAMPA BAY: Early 2010's one. And stop ripping Toronto off. TORONTO: Simplified leaf with the Kabel lettering. Their current one is too busy. VANCOUVER: As much as I like the flying skate, my choice is the stick on the rink. VEGAS: The alternate one. WASHINGTON: The screaming eagle. WINNIPEG: I'm going with the roundel. I agree with a majority of your selections. It all comes down to nostalgic memories. The 90s era players like your mentioned. I see that CANUCKS logo I think BURE.. The CAPS logo IAFRATE.

Yes! It’s made on purpose and it’s a great detail, I love when logos involve geography

As much as I love the original Mighty Ducks logo/color scheme, I prefer their shoulder patch logo with the ANAHEIM DUCKS text around an oval and the Mighty Ducks logo inside with the current colors. Either way, can’t go wrong with the OG logo!

Oh man... As a Blues fan I love the 90s clown sweater but I'm not a fan of that text inside the note. Love all of our logos but the alternate logo we used with the arch is my favorite. It's a shame our owner didn't care for it.

What are you thinking saying that The Islanders logo with fisherman is your favorite?

The best sharks logo is actually the shoulder patch on the home jersey that has the s underneath the shark on the bottom of the triangle. Just give that man a hockey stick to bite through and you got the best sharks logo

Arizona - Coyote Howling, I love dogs wolves coyotes foxes any dog and the howl is satisfying. Anaheim- of course the mighty ducks I 100% agree with you Buffalo- I like that retro one but I also like the newer one with the Buffalo and two Sabres I think it’s cool looking. Carolina, Calgary,Boston, Dallas, Colorado, Edmonton, Detroit, New Jersey, San Jose, Rangers, Montreal, Philly, Nashville, St Louis, Tamp Bay, Vegas , Washington I agree with you. Chicago- Original logo Columbus- The Cannon, obviously their best LA- I just like when it was just the crown Florida- I love their newest one, it looks like it’s matured if that makes sense. Islanders- like their current one Ottawa- like their previous one Vancouver and Pittsburgh love their current one that they’ve both used for a while now. Seattle- love the anchor love the sea Toronto- love their current and their retro, just love the detail in the leaf. Minnesota- love both logos new and old, even when they were the North Stars I loved that logo to for nostalgia Winnipeg- I love both their logos. The jets for nostalgia and the current because it just looks great with the jet on the leaf.

I only disagree with four of them: Buffalo, I like the current logo; Columbus, the cannon; St Louis, the third jersey logo with the arch; Vancouver, Johnny Canuck.

I prefer the pens current logo. I still love the robopen but it's still associated with some very bad times for the pens. Mario getting cancer and the constant fear of relocating during the robopens era. There's also the association of it with them choking the threepeat.

im going to have to hard disagree on the Toronto Maple Leafs, the new one is so modern yet has such a nice classic feel
