    Benching 225 for as many reps as possible for these guys is a test of endurance more than strength.

    @@keonihunter1635 Obviously takes a lot of strength. But when you doing something for 30+ reps you're gonna reach failure because of a lack of endurance instead of lack of strength.

    @@keonihunter1635 it's a similar concept to long distance running. You're legs and lungs are in their prime if you're training. Once you have the training, all events become a mental game.

Sweatpants, bad shoes, start on "go" not own start, no practice that day or any previous day for that style, worse ground (I think). It's a message to the guys who said they'd be faster than Bolt, but he's on a different level.

    To be exact, the absolute bench press record is 51 repetitions, still held by Justin Ernest. He put up the record in 1999 but never played a snap in the NFL. Paea's 49 reps are the most for a player to actually have an NFL career (2011-2017).

    The bench press record (all time) belongs to Justin Earnest a DE from eastern Kentucky who in 1999 benched 225 lbs 51 times, however despite being that brutally strong he went undrafted and signed with the Saints where he never played a down in the nfl

    @@carlos-ej3sv reps simulate trench battles and pushing off thr block. A guy with a higher rep count likely has more stamina and can use his upper body more before he gets fatigued. Obviously footwork is excluded but it's an endurance test not a strength test

    225 pounds 49 times is hard to comprehend. I've seen some strong guys at the gym do it maybe 20 times but he was throwing that weight around like it was almost nothing. 49 push-ups is pretty good for most guys.

    Dark Ascent CoC the bench press at the combine is more so a test of endurance than it is strength. Yea the reps aren’t competitive lifting standards but they’re still about 90% of the ROM (without locking out) and ridiculously impressive. That’s why the NFL is more lax on what counts as a rep

    Strength makes 225 feel light, endurance allows for high repetitions with a light way. No matter how much endurance you have, you can't bench something that feels too heavy for very high reps.

    Mohammed Toure His speed doesnt matter, hes an OFFENSIVE LINEMAN, they are expected to be mostly stronger, and oline mostly do blocking and not running the ball (incase its a fumble etx)

    I'm not american but i watch a lot of american sports and i keep telling my friends that they should thank God Americans dont take football (soccer) seriously because otherwise the football map around the globe would've been very different from what it is right now and when i say seriously i mean if football was the number sport in the country and all american top athletes were playing it 100+ years ago
