Thats pretty cool. I remember being in my 1.18 world and seeing weird alien stuff at the bottom of the nature tab in the creative menu. I thought I had mods on, but later I learned that it was going to be part of that update

Man I started playing sometime after the “pretty scary update” came out, and was extremely excited when the redstone and horse updates came out. Good times.

I remember playing the game for the first time when I was in the 3rd grade, which was close to the time after 1.7 came out, but I think I started playing during 2015 more often since the 1.8 update was out by then, when I started playing I didn't know what to do on survival, but now I have a lot more knowledge of the game and have fitted myself among the building aspect of the game, and started to perfect on that part of the game, due to my own artistic talent.

remembering what life was like, our reaction, and what we did after each update released is just so, idk man nostalgic

Totally! I’m still so thrilled for the new caves generation but unfortunately it was a long wait for it to be “completed”. What I like about the Nether update is that it was most a surprise for me since I wasn’t much into the community or the minecraft news

Nether update is my fav until they make a end update if they even will

I remember when I played in 1.5.2 and it was really good. And time flies quickly, it's already 2023. You know, I'm an old player of this game and I still like it.

The Buzzy Bees update was actually a bug fix update which is probably why it looks small. That’s why you shouldn’t judge an update based on the amount of blocks and items it adds.

The issue is the newer updates 1. Dont compare to 1.16 2. Besides 1 half of caves and cliffs didnt change how you play the game 3. Besides that 1 said half of caves and cliffs they just feel lackluster. Now im not saying the smaller updates are an issue per say, i just think mojang needs to be more clear about what's in updates before they pump them out, more themed, and when to expect larger updates. Like everyone expects each update to be nether update size which doesnt happen so they need to be clear which updats will be and wont be Theme them properly, why did 1.20 add a whole new biome then the rest of the update have 0 to do with that biome. Archeology took 3 years to develop and it doesnt even fit the cherry blossom biome.

1.20: adds a lot of community requested things and archeology Minecraft community: *Minecraft is dying, and here is why.*

I've been playing since alpha, back then the game was completely different and I could not even imagine what it would turn into

spruce was added in BETA 1.2, not post full-release 1.1 a lot of this video is inaccurate i could understand simplifying alpha and beta's numerous versions, but much of it is still mislabeled and not correctly lined up for when some of these features were ACTUALLY added

ive been playing since just before 1.7, ps3 specifically at first, but i gotta say.. i cant help but feel like we're really spoiled for updates somewhat. i cant say ive liked some of the recent updates, but they're far from 'bad' in my eyes. have your gripes and opinions about it, it doesnt change the fact someone's always, always upset with each update. the expectations of the world's best selling game of all time must weigh heavy. still, i enjoyed this walk through the major updates. nice and clean without any flashy editing or screaming people.

crazy to think abt how 1.20 is seen as a small update now (considering it added a fair amount in hindsight). just goes to show how high the standards are for minecraft now lol
