    I watched that Reyes fight, with Jon Jones, I 💯% believe he won overall... If they gave him the decision though and made him rematch Jon Jones I believe Jon would have won the rematch. Reyes was putting hands on Jones no lie. I believe he won more rounds.

    @@greenstreetelitegaming2713 again, many people thought the same thing. I watched the entire fight thoroughly, and I definitely believe Reyes had a lead. Jones really didn't do much to him and Reyes was piecing him up. It is what it is, but champions always receive the favor firsthand unless they're badly and blatantly beaten.

    Anthony Smith is truly a standup guy for refusing to take the title from Jon after that foul. He could have easily stayed down, refused to continue, and won the title by DQ. No one would have been mad about it (considering Jones’ innumerable haters). But he understood that he was getting outfought, and that it wouldn’t be a “true” title win. Class act.

    I remember Jon pressing Reyes and Reyes on his bicycle the last 3 rounds. This ain’t like the GSP/Hendricks fights. Edit to add to this. I thought that Reyes landed the cleaner harder punches in the fight. But I also remember him being gassed and on his bike for the last few rounds. That being said, did he do enough and make it decisive enough to take Jon’s belt, I didn’t think.

    Yes he did, all he had to do was stay active, he didn’t even have to do much, but he chose those last 2 rounds which are the championship rounds to literally run away and looked so bad in the judges eyes, that’s the reason he lost the fight, I still believe Reyes won, hit him avoiding the last 2 rounds because he won 3 was dumb on his part and very bad on his Team not to tell him that.

    @@jagy3174 clearly beat someone 😂😂 bro check the stats for yourself, just cuz Reyes was fighting sloppy and having little bursts doesn’t mean he won 😂😂 Jones striking was 24% more effective and he controlled the fight pace the entire time.. Reyes being 41-169 on significant striking% is pretty damn terrible, whereas jones was 31-74 on significant head strikes 😂😂also had a couple takedowns compared to Reyes ZERO, if you are a hater just say that, but don’t act like the fight wasn’t in Jon’s favor 😂😂

    The issue is its rare, Jon is so lengthy and skinny for his weight and weight class, so he's so much taller than much

    The problem is that Jones was too big for light heavy weight. So of course he would struggle with the taller guys with longer reach. He is finally in the weight class he should have been in for over a decade. And it took him 4 years to finally be prepared for his first heavy weight fight. I can't stand the guy.

    It’s already been broken down and on paper, Reyes beat Jones, he outstruck him, out grappled him and had the least stalling in between exchanges. He dominated 4 rounds and there’s was only one round where you could say that he lost. But watch any breakdown of the stats and Reyes won that fight.

    @@TMeek94 Tbh favouritism is pretty rampant in the ufc, it's why fighters are always told not to leave it in the hands of the judges. Champions especially always get preferential treatment and the judges will always favor them in close matches. You also have to consider that the judges are only human, they can make mistakes lol. And regardless of how professional you are personal preferences will always have an effect on your decision making.

    The Reyes robbery was brutal to rewatch. I went back recently wondering how close it was. It wasn't close, Reyes won the first 3 rounds. Jon pressed towards him the whole fight and he used great foot work and distance management to counterstrike him and take 3 rounds. Really shitty for Dom himself, that guy could have been given credit for beating one of the greats and been champ.

    Could've gone either way. But Jones was the aggresor the entire fight, and Reys looked hurt and gassed af at least the last 7.5 minutes. I get why the judges gave it to bony. It was a close call but not nearly the "robbery" ya'll are making it out to be.

    Jon Jones put on a Floyd Mayweather like defensive masterpiece vs Reyes, my favorite part is when he was on the Cage ducking & dodging all of Reyes hits. Watch the video *Jon Jones - Defensive Skills* & fast forward to 1:02 until 2:53. You don’t win fights landing 45.2% total & 44.8% significant strikes while your opponent is landing 62.9% total & 62.6% significant strikes + a takedown. Jones (like Floyd Mayweather 2nd run) is at the point in his career where he’s a defensive first fighter that has the IQ, stamina, & pure skills to out class his opponent for 25 minutes.

    Nobody can deny the greatness of Jon's talent, but his UFC career has benefited from more sheer luck than any other fighter I've seen. There's been enough instances where he's depended on the odds of a coinflip going his way in order to be given the win, that he could easily have 4-5 losses on his record right now if the wind just happened to be blowing the other way that day. It's a fascinating part of his legend that should be brought up more often

The only reason he could be declared a winner of a Santos fight, is because of "knockdown" in second round by Jones, that wasn't really a knockdown but a slip.     The Chael Sonnen fight also wouldn't have gone another round. Jon Jones injured his foot just before he got the finish. His big toe was ripped away from his foot.

    You don’t think that nasty arm bar that Vitor had in the beginning of the video didn’t “look close at all”? A sizable portion of people also think Reyes beat him, Santos won on one of the judges scorecards, and Jones had to go to the hospital after the Gus fight.

    @@joooanit0224 Look, I'm not the biggest Jones fan. But I scored the Gus fight to Jones, even tho I was rooting for Gus. Jones clearly dominated Smith and tho Santos put a fantastic effort, Jones barely got the win. Reyes, on the other hand, absolutely beat Jones with those first 3 rounds, no doubt.

Most average/small sized dudes would get that habit beat out of them soon enough 😂 Another tall guy bad habit is leaning back as their primary defence to getting punched. It took Luke Rockhold until his retirement fight to beat that habit 😂
