Met Joe in a West End night club when he broke onto the scene and people were going mad about him- as we stood at the bar waiting for a drink I decided to have a chat - he was the most friendly and humble person a real diamond he was so thankful of the praise. Deserved all the success he got and continues to get … and I’m a gooner!!!!!!

There are multiple tracks playing on this video sounds so weird. also my brother was named after this dude and then two months later he leaves the club. lol

played against that youth team in ireland he was sublime he flicked the ball over the boys head it was ridiculous but that west ham team had this boy upfront called amos foyena anyone remember him he was special i was sad to see him not make it got player of the year at the milk cup the boy was SPECIAL

Never was I more down as a Hammer than when we sold him to Chelsea.

Why oh why did we get relegated n 2003, I was 11 at the time and cried so much. We had Di Canio, Cole, Carrick, Defoe, Kanoute, Sinclair, David James, Glen Johnson...

Bad timing for injuries all season (we rarely had two strikers available for most of the first half of the season, Hutch was down, and Carrick played with a serious groin injury plus other drama), throw in some real collapses in form (Schemmel in particular) and odd decisions (such as not playing Labant at all, and of course our board refused to sanction any significant signings. We got Gary Breen...and then had to wait for 4 months to bring in Bowyer, Ferdinand and Brevett to finally fill out the squad. Watching Ian Pearce play up front, and then in one match seeing us throw Breen on as a striker was absolutely heartbreaking when we had kids in the youth team we could have chanced.

What an array of talent, unfortunately when you rely on a defence consisting of Breen/Dailly/Repka you will leak goals, hit a great run when we got Brevett in but it was too little too late

Sadness, when I watch this for what might have been . But not only for West Ham but for Joe as well, Mourhino destroyed him . He should have been so much more .
