I agree, I think GT Sport even wins over GT7 solely because GT7 is incredibly restrictive, and what we have as a Solo campaign is a joke, the way credits are toned down so much so you spend real money to grab some, the high prices of cars and all that, it makes all of the good things bad. Not only that I do think it's insane for ANY GT game to release Day 1 without at least a good and well rounded offline campaign, expecting everyone to pay for PS+ to play the online segments is stupid, and expecting us to always be online for a save to load is also insanely anti-consumer. I got GT7 recently and yes game is beautiful even on a PS4, but holy hell it feels like I was ripped off in so many levels.

I played the Gran Turismo games but Gran Turismo 3 was the game that got me into the series. I also really enjoyed GT5.

GT4 was way ahead of its time. The enginuity was insane and the graphics were next level even for PS2 ❤

GT4 is the best without question and represents the pinnacle of the series. While not the worst in the series, GT7 is the most disappointing.

I do not agree about GT PSP. It was amazing to play on the go, one of the most beautiful graphics and gameplay, on the PSP. The game was simple and fun. We all knew that it would be a "minor GT", but Sony and the GT team, delivered ian excellent game, for the time. GT 7, now, is a masterpiece. Number one, c'mon!

Gt4 at number 5? Unreal... ☠️☠️

Gran Turismo 2 and 4 being so far down the list is a serious facepalm moment at least imho...... but hey these things are subjective for a reason I guess. Personally I'd say the top three are GT4, GT2 & GT3 in that order

For me GT3 and GT5 will forever be my favorites. Just the memories and I played then hell out of them lol

So, let me get this straight, the most loved feeling of GT series is that you can treasure and upgrade a huge number of cars and participate in an enormous number of tracks and various races, yet you think that the best two are the ones with the smaller collection and the worst upgrades and the smaller number of events and race tracks. While I value your opinion, and I really do, maybe it's high time you add another member to your group that is more relevant to these kind of things than you, and you stick to your own things. Just a suggestion of course.

The strange thing is my ranking is very similar to this list. Gran Turismo 1 and 3 are my 2 favourite GT games and I don't value games like 4 and 6 as much as everyone else. But that's because my values for the series are very different from most other people and I pride myself in being bold for standing out with unpopular opinions I try to back. This list from Mojoplays feels like it values significance alone and not what makes the series special. To explain what I mean, my reasonings for loving GT1 so much include: The consistently best selection of tracks for me with none dropping below Great It's shorter length allowing for more opportunities for repeat playthroughs, helped even more by my short attention span. The overall tone of the game fitting I want in a racing game between the music and menu art. Physics being fast paces and fun to master, especially in Arcade Mode. Introducing me to my favourite car of all time, shown in my current PFP And plenty more that would take forever to list em all. Their reasoning for the high placement starts and ends with: It revolutionized racing games forever. In other words, classic WatchMojo.

GT3 was my childhood. Doing those endurance races only to not get the F1 car ticked me off but made me want to do it again until I got it.

Was Gran Turismo 6 patched to fix those issues? I only got it about a year ago and didn't play it at launch. So far it's my favorite one to play with a controller given the lack of pedal precision in the PS1 and PS2 games and GT7's greedy design.

IIRC I played Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec many5x years ago, a little, but not very seriously due to 'various reasons'. But for me, Gran Turismo 1, 2, & 4 are the my all time favorites, due to sheer amount of content and gameplay.

Reading the comments and I’m glad that out of all the disagreements and arguments over the ranking, nobody is disputing gt5. It was my favourite as I was old enough to appreciate it at the time of release. I was 4 when we had gt3 and 7/8 when we had gt4 so while I loved them, I wasn’t old enough to really appreciate them. In hindsight having played them all again in later years, I think gt5 would still be my favourite simply because I think it hit the sweet spot. Gt3 was engaging for the graphics and arcade style fun. In gt4 they were trying to add more realism into the drcimg experience as well as add back the number of cars lacking in gt3. Gt5 has that blend of, a good volume and variety of cars as well as that arcade feeling that I used to get as a child playing gt3. I think gt6 and onwards tried to polish and further detail gt5 when there was no need to. Furthermore, the aggressive focus to online gameplay really ruined the series for me. I’m all about keeping up with the times but you gotta do it in a more gradual seamless way in my opinion.

How is Gt2 ranked so low???

In terms of the cars though, Gran Turismo 6 had a huge verity of cars especially LMP1 and Group C.

GT 3 A spec always the best I had memories with this game its a masterpiece 👌🏻

Next time GT 7 has a new cars and TRACK update, I would seriously love to see Special Stage Route 11 come back in it's original form of street circuit, just like in the first GT on PS1. Nothing beats that track and it was hard as hell. The only last time we ever saw it was in GT3. Come on Polyphony, it's been too long, just please add it in one day into GT7. Who's with me or against me on this opinion?🤔

Imagine GT3 playability with GT7 graphics, would have been the best game ever but the ultimate focus on online play ruined it. Should have been an option like Forza did before Horizon.

Tbh I love GT6 and seeing it at such a low spot just makes it kind of questionable for me. I enjoy GT3 and GT4 but i dont get how 6 is at second-to-last.

I 100% agree with this list. Wow, I came here to be disappointed, but the only games I bought a PlayStations for was at the top (PCmaster race here). Meaning, I only bought a playstation for gran turismos, if they were good.

Gran Turismo 3 is one of the first PS2 games I ever played and I still do to this day alongside Gran Turismo 4 and Gran Turismo 5. Gran Turismo 6 is okay, but not as good as Gran Turismo 5. I'm not going to worry about Gran Turismo (2009 PSP game) because it's no good at all. I'm currently playing Gran Turismo 7 on PS5 just in time for Gran Turismo (2023) coming to theaters this month.

Gt3 was my most played

I played the hell out of GT3 and GT5. I would rank GT4 high for the content but I had 3 games that had load issues :(

I have to kindly disagree, i've played all Gran Turismo games up until 6 (didnt play 7 and sport yet) and placing GT1 above GT2 and GT3 above GT4 makes no sense at all, literally GT2 improved all aspects and did everything that GT does, but better, and the same applies for GT3 and GT4

I can't believe that most of the new generation GT have the lowest positions of the list. I mean, racing in gran turismo 4 wasn't all bad and the AI, come on, we're talikng about the very beginning of AI on video game consoles.

It's hard to rate the GT titles , at least for me. On one side there's content, on the other it's about what was around during the game release. For me it's a tie between GT 2 and GT 5, at launch GT 2 takes it no doubt. GT 5 turned out much better after the updates and playing online was damn fun. GT 4 was a blast to play but i doubt i would have the same patience to play it 100% today. GT 3 was very impressive and had the best menu system and races in my opinion. Spent countless hours on GT 1 as there was very little that could compare to it back in the day. GT 6 had the cars but the single player and 24M lemans, what a joke.

The fact GT2 and 4 have low rankings amuses me. GT2 was by far the BEST game of the franchise following 4. I’ve played GT2, 3, 4, 6, and 7 and all of them except 2 and 4 were trash.

Wow, GT6 got done dirty here - I played it at launch and I do not recall any bugs and glitches outside of a minor performance drop here and there. And re: the microtransactions, sure they were there but you really had to go out of your way to access them, they weren’t shoved in your face like in GT7 to this day. GT5 arguably had better special events, but GT6’s event line up and progression was waaaaaaaaaay better than GT5.

My 2 favorites were GT2 and GT5 XL, I hated 3 and 4.

No mention of gt4 being a hd ps2 game in 1080i. Yall did it before why cant yall do it again? Lazy

Let's see how they placed the games and my opinion about it: 9th: GT PSP While I genuinely like GT PSP, it's undeniable that it's wasted potential due to a lack of a proper career structure. 8th: GT6 Even if I'm used to see GT6 so low in every rank of GT games (even if I HIGHLY disagree), I have to say that the reasons were somehow unfair, especially with the games above GT6. Especially with the microtranscations and the online focus. 7th: GT2 No, just no. This is insulting. Gran Turismo 2 was WAY better in almost every way compared to Gran Turismo 1. 6th: GT Sport. Not gonna lie, I didn't play Sport (and probably I won't). But this game launched with WAY less content than its predecessor, and had a heavier focus on online game...so why it's higher than GT6 if the people didn't wanted online play focus game? 5th: GT4 I'll say something. GT4 it's far from being that "masterpiece" everyone says it is to me. However, even I wouldn't dare to put GT4 below the Top 4. It's really insulting. 4th: GT7 Oh, but now we forget about microtranscations and online focus, isn't it? 3rd: GT5 NO. The worst one by far in the entire franchise. Overrated as fuck. Rushed as hell. Even if I think GT5 is a good game, I can say A LOT of things wrong of this game, and how it is a downgrade compared to the rest of the series. Insulting. 2nd: GT1 Look, I like Gran Turismo 1, and I respect the effect it had in the market. But it's far from being one of the best games of the franchise, man. 1st: GT3 Look, I like GT3 more than some of the rest of the games of the franchise, but it's the most barebones GT game there's ever been.

Gt and Gt4 is best

I don’t know why you put GT4 at 5. IT IS THE GOAT OF GT. 700 cars, almost 100 tracks and he gaming in 2005 on a ps2 with very low specs and you then say it’s worse than 7. 7 is absolutely the worst GT other than PSP. Yes it has 4K and online but where’s the GT mode, where’s the fun, it’s the biggest disappointment ever. I have played literally all GT games from 1-7 and even PSP 5 prologue and concept Tokyo Geniva and they were amazing. GT7 is just 4 things. MENU. GAMBLING. ONLINE. MONEY. Simple

Try the Japanese version. For some reason, they decided to make the physics more arcade like for the international versions.

When I got a Xbox one I sent a video and lied about the graphics’s of gt3 on ps2 and said it was Xbox one graphics’s, and they believed me, grapichs in raw power haven’t come that far in some places, the different between ps 1and 2 is like night and day when it comes to gt it’s weird that shift would never happen now

Gran Turismo 3 the best Gran Turismo game ever made, followed by Gran Turismo 5. In my opinion Gran Turismo Sport was way to high on the list, should've been 10 and Gran Turismo 7 was way to high too, should've been 7.

This list is utterly trash 2 and 4 so low, 4 is the best hands down. I don't think the person who made this list knows the series. For Gran Turismo he said it didn't have a campaign, which is untrue. It's called Simulation mode. Let the people who knows the series make the list.
