In my play through of the game, as soon as Bode walked in and used Kata as a way to keep me chill, the first words out of my mouth were “ You manipulative son of a bitch!”

38:35 I think she’s actually closer to grand master at this point, very very few Jedi MASTERS have been able to completely let go of their fear and become really strong in the light side, considering how calm Cere was the entire battle (apart from the end) she had to have been using force valor, not to mention she’s shown using force shield and heal as well. I think she’s actually really close to grand master. Vader was def holding back the first half of the fight considering how much his attack pattern changed by phase 3, so he probably would’ve taken less damage if he went hard from the beginning, but that still doesn’t mean Cere isn’t strong, just Vader is ridiculous. I wouldn’t be surprised if Cere was able to beat Dooku and Greievus as she is now, probably not easily, but win probably

Vader is just always amazing

If anyone’s confused on why Bode wasn’t listening to Cal even though His solution was the best for both parties it was because Bode fell to the darks side. The dark side is a corrupting force that blinds anyone who uses it to follow their own selfish goals which, for Bode, is protecting Kata. People don’t control the dark side, the dark side controls them and that is certainly the case with Bode

I think the best solution for Bode was for the Hidden Path to not come to Tanalor. The secret would eventually come out and draw Emperial forces to the planet. But like you said the difference is that he fell to the dark side and decided to sacrifice many innocent lives to save his own daughter.

Yes, but it's more than that. One of the themes of the first game, Fallen Order, was Cal learning to trust people again. He was haunted by some of his master's last words: "Trust only in the force." And then of course he was hunted across the galaxy by the empire. It took time, most of the game really, but he did learn to trust people again. The difference is, that Bode didn't. When Prauf died on Bracca, Cal was traumatized, losing the first and only person he'd trusted since the Purge. But then he met Cere, Greez, and later Merrin, and learned to trust again. He had hope. But Bode had none of that. The only person he put his trust in after the Purge was he wife. But then she died, and he didn't have anyone swoop in to help him work through that pain, to help him trust anyone again. So he didn't. That's the core of his betrayal: He doesn't trust anyone anymore. He didn't trust the Hidden Path, a bunch of strangers, to keep the secret of Tanalorr. I think he did manage to trust Cal by the end of the game, but he doesn't believe Cal can stop the Empire, or keep his daughter safe. He only wants to hide away, bury his head in the sand and never come out again. He gave up hope entirely. From his point of view, that really was the only way to keep his daughter safe. But that's how it goes when you give in to fear, and give up hope.

I like how he agrees that Cere is a powerful Jedi. I find it dumb that people just assume Vader is an untouchable god and that Cere stood 0 chance against him, saying that it shouldn’t have even been a cutscene and she had “plot armor”. Vader is powerful, but he isn’t untouchable. He got beat to a pulp by Kenobi, Ahsoka, and he eventually got overpowered by Luke before Palpatine intervened. It’s not unusual to see Vader get beat badly, it just shows how powerful he is to tank these fights without outright breaking canon. As well, Cere is making use of the dark side, as she has learned to embrace it without letting it consume her and let go of her fear, so she can definitely stand a chance.

Actually in canon the jedi temple was built on an ancient Sith base, so they were always surrounded by the dark side and therfore grew accustomed to it

Yeah Cere is very underrated. People try to find excuses why she did pretty well against Vader but she was a Jedi Master. Vader isn't invincible. While he is very strong there are other Jedi Master who could have a chance against him like Obi Wan, Yoda, Mace or Plo Koon.

I've been waiting for this! This did NOT disappoint, when you got PISSED when Bode double crossed Cal, I felt that! Watched this entire playthrough, loved your energy man!

I've watched quite a few play throughs of this game. I can't play it because I only have an Xbox one so I've been gaming vicariously through others.
