The worst feeling has be to get to the final, and to reach that door, only for it to not open, and to see the other person walk through.

Michael after the show: After his appearance on the show, he declined the opportunity to work under Ramsay at London because of family reasons, so he became Head Chef at The Standards restaurant in Los Angeles, before opening his own restaurant called Tatou. But, when he tried to open another restaurant called HK One, he was not able because of his finance problems. So, he opened his knife company called, Skull and Cleavers, and teaches cooking classes. 5 years after his season, he got divorced, lost his infant daughter, and was briefly homeless after a drug addiction. He has since cleaned up, gotten remarried, and is currently looking into buying a food truck business. Ralph after the show: After his appearance on the show, he became a celebrity chef and hosted many tv cooking shows. He opened a lot of successful restaurants in Miami, Florida, such as Naked Taco, Naked Lunch and Naked Tiki. He also competed on "Iron Chef America", where he lost to Iron Chef Bobby Flay, in the battle of barramundi.

Her signature dish was the best out of everyone's, and she honestly didn't do that much wrong in the kitchen (except not really care, which was obviously the reason why she was out first; she didn't have the heart). God I love how mellow and simplistic Season 1’s eliminations were. Everyone was calm and justified when giving their reasons to stay and Ramsay was such an intimidating force with his deep tone and serious attitude. Nowadays you get the chefs yelling for no reason and all of them say they’re a team player, just nothing else to fall back on and giving the worst reasons to stay with the cringiest delivery. The later seasons are just way too overproduced sometimes. Hells Kitchen used to be so good.

Carolyn: "Some can handle it, some can't. I'm not interested in the ones that can't." Dewberry: "I'm looking for someone who can weather the storm, inspire individuals, stand as a great leader. That, clearly, is not Dewberry." Jeff & Wendy: "The third night of Hell's Kitchen was shocking, really bad. I'm hoping we step up a gear, we raise our game and we start coming together as a proper restaurant. Jeff, well, I had to laugh at the end when he called me an arsehole. I've been called far worse than that. Wendy, well you know, it's about time I put you out of your misery." Mary Ellen: "Mary Ellen has left Hell's Kitchen because of her inconsistency. What the rest of the team should understand, is that it is very crucial to get better and more consistent. That didn't happen with Mary Ellen." Chris: "When you come into the kitchen and announce that you are an executive chef, you expect a little bit more than what I got from Chris. If he's been telling the world that he has that amount of knowledge then he should have been 10 times better." Andrew: "So we're down to the final five. These are the best of the best and the cream is slowly rising to the top. But they really now have to start emerging as individual talent. Andrew's gone tonight because he's out of his depth. I discovered a fake. He can't cook." Jimmy: "Each and every one of these contestants now have to start emerging as individual talent. This is when we really start to find out who can handle the heat and who can't. Clearly tonight, Jimmy couldn't." Elsie: "Now that we're down to the final three, what I am looking for personally is flair, creativity, great imagination and more importantly individuality cause it's now when they really have to start excelling." Jessica: "Now we're down to the final two. This is it. But the fascinating thing about these two guys is they're both equally as good as one another. And this is where they have to now separate, put everything they've learned from Hell's Kitchen and show me what they're made of. That's what I'm looking for." None for Ralph Michael: "Ralph was great tonight. But Michael deserved to win because his creativity and standards are simply on a higher level. And I accomplished my goal of turning an unknown into a master chef. And that has to be the perfect way to close Hell's Kitchen tonight. And I'm fucking out of here!"

Stabbing Dewberry in the back on day one though…not a good look. And everyone talks about how jealous the others were when she got to go on TV, but how about when she was jealous of Jimmy on the previous episode? I’m not buying it. As far as wholesome contestants, she’s not even in the top 20.

I'm in the middle of binging this season. My thoughts so far: - Dewberry may have almost walked out on the red team, but I feel like he was genuine when he said that he wouldn't do it again. He showed he could cook. - If Jeff had stayed longer, I think he would've been worse than Andrew. Still, for such a decay in attitude and continuous poor performances in less than three episodes, he's my least favorite contestant from this season. - Andrew lasted longer than he should've. Even if he learned not to talk back, he was still a terrible cook. Mary Ellen and Chris were both significantly better. Also, he didn't stand up for himself. By the time he started to do so, it was too late. - Not sure if Chris should've lasted longer than Mary Ellen or vice versa. Chris's prentiousness about being an executive chef really bothered me. Michael and Ralph were executive chefs, but didn't constantly boast about it. - Jimmy's a nice guy, but a mediocre cook. He only was able to stay as long as he did because the red team kept winning after Michael joined and Michael nominated Chris because he saw him as competition. Mary Ellen or Chris should've been in the final five over him. - Michael, Ralph, and Elsie are my favorites this season. - Elsie is just wonderful, no question. - Michael is truly determined and passionate. But he's also very sly and cunning. But wow, is he incredible at cooking. A true competitor and very good chef.
