I just did a full hsp kit on my truck too. I also did a full rebuild on the engine. I put a hole in #4 piston. It also got PPE race manifolds and up pipes. Want to post a video of all the pictures I took during the process

Awesome before and after. I was set on wcfab but after seeing your new kit installed is making want to go hsp especially after the thermostat housing kit video you made.

Looks like HSP upgraded their box on the intake, mine just had a rubber grommet, looked like yours had padding, glad to see their updating!

Damn Truck Master... You've come a long way, I've been watching your videos for since 2017. Look at how clean that engine bay is!!

That's why I used the S&B air filter system with their box when it came to my WcFab kit. The hot side intercooler pipe, cold side, and Y bridge were a pain

Looks great. Hoping to have my Allison rebuilt and beefed up soon. Gonna do a full EGR delete, 5 way tuner, and get my truck repainted. It'll look brand new and it'll be fast. Hopefully I'll be able to get a full pipe kit like this HSP setup. Looks so good.

Wrap some saran wrap or movers cling wrap around the piping, works awesome won't scratch up you powder, even keeps satin and flat paint scratch free. And easy to pull off after, doesn't stick too much and isn't near as much a pain as using masking tape. Can even run a few pieces of masking tape to keep the cling wrap on. Then it all just pulls off after no matter which pipe or how its routed.

Looks so good can’t wait til mine gets here for the lml.. Scott from HSP helped me out with all the ordering .. I’m very impressed with his patience with me and answering all my questions making sure I got everything I needed .. ordered entire kit u did .. including hot side and coolant lines and a airdog system .. oh and the down pipe hoping for big gains and longevity.. keep the videos coming bro have a good weekend...wish me luck lol

I Agree, I put Turbo mouthpiece and a hot side down pipe on my LMM. It increased pressures and gained a 1 mpg. The only downside regin, it increased my regins from 400 miles to 250 per regin.

Looks awesome man. I like the flow of the pipes better then the WCFAB kit. I also run the WC fab intake on my Cummins and the filter sits out in the open. I am waiting for HSP to finish there intake kit(which is suppose to be enclosed) for the Cummins. Truck is looking awesome!!

I cannot tell you how happy I was to see you switch from wc fab ( over priced garbage) to the hsp. It's like the yeti vs rtic same shit only paying twice or 3x as much for the name

That’s cool with the little plate on the “cold” air intake. But they don’t have that on track cars that are turbo. So I don’t know how much that would really lower horsepower

And nobody makes a big deal out of the compound kits having an open filter either. I used to have the s&b kit then I bought the WCFab stuff. The only time the intake temp tube temp is higher is when I'm stopped. And it's only like 4 degrees higher in the middle of the Arizona summer. Once I'm moving again, it's the exact same as it was. That's with a sealed s&b box that only pulled air in from the fender. That hsp box is just a couple plates. You can see there are plenty of wide open spaces for hot air to get to that filter. Does this idea theoretically make sense? Yes. Does it actually make a difference? I don't think so

I agree. Cuz turbo drag cars squeeze every bit of horsepower out they can. Some don’t even have coolant tanks. They would have it out of the hood on all of them, not just some.

Damn bro that all looks sweet don't think I want to take my wcfab y bridge off but love the cold air intake I will be buying the hsp closed kit,your truck is sick tho man

Not going for HIGH Horspower, just thought this was a good way to get the EGR deleted and make some clean Air for this big pumper. I think I will be good with what you have suggested. That's a totally different air filter than mine. I have the same cold air intake. Mine is more cone shaped and has the cone in the front as well

Looks like the hot side pipe is still not lining up well. I had a hell of a time lining up my cold side hsp pipe on my lml I had to force it in place and it’s still not straight. Haven’t done the hot side yet.

Did you even add the 2 piece Y bridge? Seems you skipped that entire part. Along with the extra stuff that has to come off?

I just got my hsp y bridge kit, one question do I have to re use the 2 square o rings of get new ones?

My truck is already tuned with PPEI with a 5 switch tune, Going from stock tubing to this kit will I need a retune? I hear i will due to the position of sensors etc. thoughts??

Bummer, because on your recommendations I went with the wcfab. Didnt get the intake though because of the air intake being open to the engine bay. I've know for a long time you dont want a "cold air intake" that isbsucking hot air from an engine bay

Wcfab is still a great kit but I really like the hsp intake

Hey Josh I have a 04 lb7 which company do you recommend a y bridge from because I don't believe that hsp makes one for my truck I have only seen them from wc fab and ppe?

Can you please ask Joe if he could come up with an lb7 box or intake pipe and box for someone who bought the wrong kit to begin with Cough w Cough c Cough fab . Wish I knew of hsp before wc. I agree with the close but not right fitment of parts. I would love to have gone hsp but I am money too deep to do the full swap.

Been running the HSP hot side pipe for a couple yrs now. Mine rubs hard against the wheel well liner causing the powdercoat to wear off. @Truckmaster, let me know how yours fits against the wheel well liner.

@@TruckMaster to hold the liner in place better I used u nuts(speed nuts, j nuts, or whatever you refer to them as) over the lower ears on the washer bottle with 6mm x 1.0 bolts in place of the push pin retainers. Hot pipe pushed against liner hard enough to pop the push pins out on more than one occasion.

Yes but if it’s a lly or lbz it won’t effect drivability

@Truckmaster, I just did a full HSP kit install on my 07.5 LMM. Full delete with removal. New up pipes with kit and added a MBRP turbo down pipe. Upon completion, I was getting grey smoke. Thinking it was burn off. Come to find out that I am getting motor oil on in my exhaust. A lot of oil. Enough to leave little puddles at every connection of my 5” exhaust connection and at the tail pipe. I’m wondering if it might be the PCV reroute? I went straight across from the passenger side to the drivers side with the new connectors and hose supplied by Hsp. Any advice you can give me to fix the problem would be appreciated.

You were suppose to have two separate hose. The passenger side just connect then have it running down by wheel well, same goes for driver side

Did you have an issue the HSP Y bridge not fitting quite right? Mine seems like it needs to go down another 1/8” , 1/4” ish from lining the bolt holes up

Truck Master just went out there and messed with it some more after taking a little break. The gaskets were keeping it from going down that little bit. Took them out and it fits perfect so I’ll put some sort of gasket maker on it or something lol

How close was the red to your truck color my truck is same color and I'm thinking of going with the same set up was going to do blue or white to be different but if the red is a close match in person I may go red

It’s extremely close the only difference is the pipes don’t have the same glossy finish but the color is spot on. If you buy this kit use my coupon code truckmaster as well it should save you around $200

Hey I got a question? So I’m installing this exact hsp kit and I just put the y-bridge down in the valley but it won’t go all the way down so I can’t put the bolts back in. So what do you think could be the reason? It just needs to go down just a little more then it will line up perfectly

@@phillip1328 yes don’t tighten the bottom bolts up until you get all of them in. It was a pain in the butt

Would you sell the wcf kit that came off this truck?

I have the HSP system. 05 Lly 3500 dually. Can you tell me if the base plate is deleted when installing the HSP cold air? No instructions or comments came with the parts. Can’t get an answer via other means. Really appreciate your help!

Not true, intakes fit poorly hitting oil dip stick, and powder coating sucks as well I've had both kits. I switched to wcfab when I did my built motor with a s476 single kit from wcfab along with coolant tank billet valve covers and a custom 1off forward facing tstat housing with coolant pipe. And your commentary about the intake imo is just as bad when hsp has 90 bend after 90 bend on there intake and y bridge not a nice flowing bend like wcfab.

It may seem that way but these companies don’t pay me, I’m simply stating facts also I’ve had a lot of people email and message me about there fitment issues WCFAB had. People at my last truck show expressed there issues with these kits as well. Try not to assume that it’s because I didn’t get a deal

Any chance you could help me with something? I have a 2005 lly randomly won’t start every other time, turns over every time. I’ve replaced the low pressure pump/water separator and even put new seals in the priming unit. Completely clueless on this. Sometimes if I prime it up it will start sometimes I bleed the fuel system it starts if I don’t prime it after bleeding the system. Usually fires up first try after that but all throughout the day nothing but troubles with it. At this point not sure if it’s even fuel related. Any help appreciated !

Just for information, I was having the same issue with my 05. Small crack in the filter head close to the primer where the wires go. Replaced the filter head, $135 from GM, afterwards have no problems.

Pump the prime if it looses prime and it doesn’t stay firm more than likely you have a oring leak my guess is either the bleeder screw or the water sensor oring or replace the fuel filter housing

I had a similar problem with my lly, rebuilding the head didn’t fix it but replaced with a new acdelco fuel filter head and it’s been going strong over 10k miles. Good luck!

My only issue is that the filter head/filter appears brand new and was supposedly just replaced and I put all new seals in it anyways still have the issue

Same dude. I literally bought the kit a week before i saw the HSP stuff. However, i think WCFabs powder coating is better suited to my truck.

Seriously!?! Ya had me convinced to go with WCFab's kit and now you go and do this lol! It's all good though, will be going from turbo inlet to my S&B intake so no sucking in hot air.

Finger stick and youl have to keep the egr valve in the truck. Disconnect it from the cooler and just keep the valve
