I love their facial expressions when they play, I can tell they’re very passionate about what they do I love it. My grandpa always told me “your going to starve if you become Musician” and my conductor told me I would never make it playing cello, I stayed in orchestra despite the fact he wanted to send me to band and I became first cello in my orchestra, now here I am helping the smaller kids in my school and my goal is to make it to Juilliard for college, get my masters in music performance, play in professional orchestras around the world and as high of a goal as it seems I want to be a soloist one day and maybe make music KZread videos, I just wanted to say thank you twoset for being one of my role models for two years now, I look up to you two because your both so passionate about classical music and your instrument and so am I, Keep up your amazing work boys and Brett go practice Mendelssohn 4 million

Idk why everyone keeps writing the "Brett dead inside" comments. Personally I do not see it anywhere, especially not while playing. There was a time period where he had health issues which visibly affected his energy in videos but other than that he seems like a swell humorous guy.

The Violin playing is beautiful… the piano in the end is beautiful… this is yet another masterpiece 🥲

They get better and better every day 🙌 There's so confident, too! Brett is getting more expressive and Eddy doesn't get a shaky bow anymore in front of the camera, even though he used to, as he said in older videos ❤️ *SO PROUD OF THEM :')*

Just a jealous neo-classical / fusion / whatever, guitarist here. Sure is fun listening and seeing you guys play. I transcribed a bunch of paganini and Bach for electric guitar in the 80's, but in particular I find four note per string diatonic scales a bit crazy (on guitar the same scale is three notes per string). Makes my fingers ache just thinking about doing that. That you make all four fingers do the separation of whole and half steps in tune during fast passages is amazing to me.

Guitarrist here, I picked up a violin a couple months ago and find it amazing how accurately they can find pitches in such a small instrument. Sure, we do three notes per string because the neck is bigger, but at least we got frets to guide us.

violin (somewhat) but especially cello music gets a bit less awkward with fifths tuning. besides the showy cello pieces where it's a whole octave past the fingerboard (like elfentanz)

Personal story: I chatted with someone who said he played a bit of violin so I asked him whether he knows Twoset. He said, "yeah, I watched a few of their videos a long time ago, but are they still joking around without a proper/decent job? I thought when they gets older, they will get a decent and more stable job in an orchestra?" I was actually pissed by what he said and decided not to talk to him anymore. By the end of the conversation, I told him that Twoset is doing a decent job, an awesome job, a job that no one but them can do, and what they are doing will change many people's lives (including mine) and leave an important milestone on the history of classical music. They are not just joking around. Brett and Eddy are funny, they do skits and comedies. But those are ways to bring classical music closer to people's lives. I learned so much about classical music and all kinds of music instrument because of them, and I'm really grateful towards that. This video is just another proof (out of many) that they are TALENTED YOUNG MUSICIANS who work hard towards an awesome goal. And they deserves to be respected and recognized more.

Am about to start learning the violin thanks to TwoSet... never ever imagined I'd play any instrument... and now keep meeting people who are either violinists, ex violinists or musicians... Talk about the Law of Attraction! Met a builder last week who played violin from a very young age till about 20yrs ago (when he started in the trade/with family etc)... learnt SO much from him; then a gardener who still plays. I mention TwoSet to all of them and jot down vids I can recommend. Spoke with another (young) builder y'day and more or less asked him if, by any chance, he was a violinist as everyone I meet seems to be. No, he wasn't BUT he'd always wanted to play the violin...!! Felt he had insufficient patience for the long learning process though. I talked enthusiastically about TwoSet and he subbed them then and there!! However, I know a very talented musician struggling to be successful on YT to whom I sent links to TwoSet vids including their 'Navarra' in Los Angeles. He can't have bothered to watch that one cos he emailed me saying that these two are just a pair of comedians and he has no intention of... (implied - sinking to that level). Phwoooar... I then went on to explain more or less what you said to the guy you met. I mentioned a TwoSet interview from way back where they were asked which KZread vids are successful and they'd replied: - Vids that are entertaining - Vids that are funny - Vids that educate - Vids that create communities of people Well Brett & Eddy do all this and so much more. They've created a formula that works right across the generations for musicians AND non-musicians alike. That in itself is quite an achievement. The oldest TwoSetter (to my knowledge so far) is 80 and he loves this channel/them. Indirectly, TwoSet have also brought me closer to my sister (pianist) and we talk about music a lot now; discuss our favourite pieces. She's been surprised by my knowledge/ability to recognise pieces etc. Brett & Eddy are f**king awesome and we love 'em...

Gladiators were entertainers in the Roman era. Contrary to Hollywood depictions, they mostly didn't fight to the death. In fact the word "circus" comes from the Romans. An open air venue for holding races and contests (like gladiator fights) for show. So you can see how the association gradually transferred to modern-day clowns.

It's a strange one. I would say that the Bridal Chorus is perhaps more well-known than Ride of the Valkyries, but Wagner is more known for composing Ride of the Valkyries and many people are surprised to learn that he composed the Bridal Chorus

If it‘s the fame of the tune itself, the Birdle Chorus of Wagner and the March funèbre of Chopin are the most famous of them even though most people won‘t know they composed it. On the other hand, if it‘s fame as in the tune most people associate with a composer, Flight of the Valkyrie and op 9 no 2 would probably take the cake.

FYI, that Verdi duet is called "Libiamo ne' lieti calici" (Let's drink from the joyful cups). In opera, arias are named after their first line. The "queen of the night aria" is called "Der Hölle Rache kocht in meinem Herzen", the "doll aria" is called "Les oiseaux dans la charmille", etc. ;) Also, I'd argue that Wagner's most famous piece is Ride of the Valkyries, Vaughan William's is The Lark Ascending and Mussorgsky's is A Night on Bald Mountain.

There are a few things in opera that are better known by a popular name: Habanera ("L'amour est un oiseau rebelle", Carmen), Ride of the Valkyries (Overture to Act III), Anvil Chorus ("Vedi! Le fosche" from Il trovatore) or Bridal Chorus ("Treulich geführt" from Lohengrin). As for most famous piece by Wagner, any tone deaf person can try to sing the Bridal tune and it would be recognized, not so much for the Valkyries. They are more epitomized by the caricature of horned helmets.

Yes, I was thinking how it's a tragedy it wasn't Scheherazade. Lark is popular among classical musicians, greensleeves is popular among everyone including kids who chase after Mr Whippy.

Greensleeves is definitely more popular than lark, I feel like anyone could recognize greensleeves but not everyone lark?

6:48 I keep coming back to this video, especially this part. Idk how but when i first watched this and Brett started playing I s2g even though he was alone I was hearing the entire orchestra. It's such a strange experience and I haven't even heard this piece before. So I went and listened to it in my own time and needless to say I got so much goosebumps! Take a deep breath and click on another TwoSet at the right. Do this for a couple of hours. Or more. Listen to the music, listen to them laugh, listen to them talk with their friends...this should help with the stress overload. Works for me!!!

They are so humble and self-critics that you forget how good they are until you listen to them playing seriously. And it is in that moment that you feel amazed

Those new violin’s are projecting beautifully. The sound is rich like velvet! 🎉

Massenet's meditation is one of my favourite pieces. I've heard it from a few violinists but this was top notch. And that Rachmaninoff was so emotional 😢 I love it. Twoset flexing is my favourite thing ever. Every piece was beautifully played and if you two ever do a playlist I'm down for it.

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I got goosebumps. Also, I love how animated Brett and Eddy are when they play. You can see they are not just playing, but also feeling the music.

Main reason I love Twoset so very much is because not only are they an amazing set of talents and incredibly entertaining, they turn me on to new music/composers!

Thank you for introducing us into many other composers that we haven't heard of. Would definitely check out these amazing pieces.

Greensleeves is such a comforting piece though. Love it even with how much it is overplayed (in Christmas maybe).
