Yeah, "Legendary Super Saiyan" sounds much better. Don't know why they decided to change it. Also, why name it "full power super saiyan" when we already had a form called "super saiyan full power" in the Cell arc? The new name seems a bit uninspired compared to legendary super saiyan, which also added to how unique its supposed to be.

Broly story in this is basically almost the same thing what happened in Dragon Ball Z Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan but instead of King Vegeta blasting Paragus.Paragus takes off for his sons pod since he is being sent to a distant planet to live out his days there since just like the original movie the Saiyan king feared Broly power level since it surpassed Vegeta and hurt the pride of King Vegeta but then as soon as Paragus took off for his sons pod Gokus father Bardock gets back from his mission and questions Friezas motives in which out of fear for their son Bardock and Gine send young Kakarott to earth in which in the end Bardocks accusations were correct and Frieza blew up Planet Vegeta and killed all the Saiyans on the planet except for Raditz and Nappa and Vegeta and Goku and Broly and Paragus and two other saiyans

Just Leave The Nuts Hangin Out is it though? Even in base he’s roughly 7 feet tall, in full powered he’s around 9-10 feet, those are both forms outside of suppressed ozaruu

What was really surprising is that broly managed to learn from his opponents whilst losing full control over himself. If he manages to control himself and master the legendary super saiyan form, think about all the other forms he could achieve in the future. His potential is crazy.

His father Paragus never knew he could get to that point. He only knew Broly had immense power. He didn't know about that Ikari form till that day in the movie. Paragus also knew nothing about modern day SS, only the one SS of legend.

Broly WAS the Oozaru but in human form. Goku & Vegeta had to train to be able to control it. SSJ4 actually means = becoming 1 with the Oozaru just like Broly did in this movie.

Saiyans are the ultimate warrior race, and Broly was able to learn as he fought. Goku and Vegeta have the same ability, it just took them time to master it. They learned as they fought in the tournament of champions. I hope they make SS4 into canon and they use all 3 characters in some way to achieve the form. The best thing about this form in GT is that even Goku, pure of heart, couldn’t 100% maintain control in the form, which truly emphasizes the true nature of Saiyans.

Broly is Primal and true super saiyan form I think?

Broly might be so strong because his training was cast by 24/7 pure survival on a hostile planet and somewhat driven by his father's revenge, a persistent grind on the body, mind, and soul. Meanwhile Goku and Vegeta had the luxury most of their lives of actually having the option not to train, plus most of their training is artificial, e.g. man-made training drills, no real survival threats a majority of the time (barring the handful of times they actually had to save the world/universe). It actually makes a lot of sense that Broly's base is so high, then the ridiculous multipliers he manages to combo bring him up to speed real fast.

Yes, I would totally be on board with that. Vegeta has Blue evolution and Goku may eventually go MUI again so to have something unique for the 3 U7 Saiyans makes their characters far more interesting in terms of their combat prowess.

@@bfan82 It's not just anime or innocence, Nero from Devil May Cry has some emotional issues and he is not an angel, he's more demon and that new Devil Bringer has become more angelic and pure but it's still demonic and impure, just gone through a more "divine" change and then there's Jak who becomes Dark Jak which is insanely powerful, he even shoots out this sort of Kamehameha-style ability called Dark Strike but it's different because it's two orbs revolving with this Electric "chain" connecting them and plows through waves of enemies with immense strength and that's just an example the user doesn't have to be innocent and pure with legendary status of power and even save the world. Edit:Just want to say DMC is made by a Japanese company but yes Jak 2 and 3 are made by an American company.

If I remember correctly, full power broly (once he transformed in the alternate dimension) was capable of hurting super gogeta. Gogeta throws a punch and broly isn’t fazed and socks him back (which is why gogeta went blue in the first place)

Shawthentic Broly landed two blows on Gogeta, While Gogeta was transforming into ssj, Broly attacked. Ssj gogeta (Messing around) got hit once in the stomach and took no damage. Then he went blue and bodied Broly. Basically sums up his chances.

I remember the hype about the new saiyan and at that time, I wasn't that enthusiastic about the movie because I felt that the theme of introducing new saiyan was getting lame due to the introduction of the saiyans from universe 6. But as time went by and they officially announced that Broly would be the saiyan in the upcoming movie, man I got so hyped, not only to mention that he'd be canon along with Gogeta.

Golden eyes Broly = Broly (Wrathful) or Broly : Fury Based on Dokkan Battle and DB Legends respectively

Some context here. I'm 36 years old and an immigrant from South Korea to the United States. I grew up watching dragon Ball on VHS when there were available in Korean video rental stores here in Chicago. They were subtitled in Korean. I remember broly dragon Ball z movie that my parents rented when I was a child and immediately intrigued by how Broly was. I remember distinctively looking up the Korean word for legendary and what it meant and how it translated into English. At the time the word also meant the only one ever. This would mean that broly's power is unique to himself and of legend. I don't know if the dragon Ball z broly fight movie is even available or if anyone could even seek and upload it or whatever I don't know but I highly highly encourage all of you to find it and watch it because it is a very epic fight it's a great story and it is the movie where Goku uses the dragon fist for the very first time ever. I stumbled upon your video about this because as of late I've been watching a lot of the fighting game competitions including the dragon Ball z fighting game competition and I appreciate you and many others spreading the love of old Japanesemania that seems like it's being turned and redone into new stuff with GT and whatever else that's current so thank you and looking forward to watching your other videos about dragon Ball. Apparently, Super Saiyan C-type is when a Saiyan already in the Wrathful state (great ape power) becomes a Super Saiyan. So theoretically, Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan C-type are different forms.

i really hope in the future of super Goku and Vegeta take Broly to meet Cabba, Kale, and Caulifla so they can all train together.

I've watched the movie 3 times and I still feel like watching it again. The amount of detail is just immense. I notice something different each run.

That original multiplier honestly sounds legit. I had been telling my friends that the “Ikari form” (suppressed Great Ape) actually can stack on top of the other SSJ forms. Because he went SSJ, then went full power Ikari. And that was only Broly at SSJ1. He never went passed level one. Broly is insanely strong now, as he always was.

But it is stated by Frieza (I think, it was long ago when I last saw the movie) that he is adapting to Vegeta and Goku really fast and didn't have much hand to hand fighting experience besides his father and as stated by Frieza that his father is low class of saiyan so it wouldn't help him much against someone experienced and strong as Goku either But I do agree that Broly is a mutation and I believe which happens every so many hundreds or even thousands of years that gifts them with monster strength, being fighting genius and able to achieve a special kind green SSJ, also known as "Legendary". And because this mutation happens so rarely is the reason why there were always the rumors of Saiyans able to become "Super Saiyans".

Tilted duck he could be a mutant. You could very easily explain his strength by saying that his cells act differently and just do a hyper enhanced version of zen Kai boosts at a much more frequent rate than a normal Saiyan. Instead after healing after every fight and getting stronger, he could have a fast healing factor which would explain how he shrugged off vegetas god punch that sent him flying through mountains and pretty much knocked him out to being fine the next minute. Then every punch he takes by someone stronger than him triggers a zenkai boost that is much more effective than a normal saiyans and you can fix the whole power scaling problem.

@@BenjaminHari His lack of HTH fighting is evident. He hasn't been formally trained in it. He is a straight brawler which explains his sporadic way of fighting. He steadily grew better at fighting due to how Saiyans adapt and learn during battle but Broly is a straight-up brawler while Goku and Vegeta are formally trained and incorporate martial arts in their techniques.

@@tiltedduck2749 He's a mutant. I wouldn't call Broly a prodigy. The only reason why he was capable of keeping up with the fight was because of his immense power. The moment he gets overwhelmed in power by Gogeta, Broly gets his ass kicked severely due to not knowing how to actually use his power and his abysmal experience in fighting. Broly is not a prodigy. He is a genetic mutant.

To think Broly reached that insane level by himself, only training with his dad a monsters...just imagine how strong could become if he trained with Whis. The fact only Gogeta blue could defeat him shows how incredible he is. Maybe at that time both were above even Beerus.

When it comes to Broly, I viewed it as such... Base Enraged Ikari/Oozaru boost in humanoid form Super Saiyan Ascended Super Saiyan/Super Saiyan Grade 2 (possibly Grade 3) Full Power Super Saiyan is the form Goku and Gohan uses for Cell, and its just a normal SSJ multiplier, but without the strain on stamina, to keep up the transformation. Oozaru/Ikari: 10x base False SSJ: 25x base SSJ: 50x base Grade 2/Ascended: 1.5x SSJ Grade 3/Ultra: 1.75x SSJ SSJ2: 2x SSJ SSJ3: 4x SSJ2 Also, Whis states that Goku and Vegeta no longer receive significant Zenkis, or get conventionally stronger due to both of them nearing their max potential. They must break limits now instead, or learn new techniques. Examples so far would be the Kaioken, Fusion, Blue Evolution, Spirit Training, Limit Breaker, Ultra Instinct Omen, Ultra Instinct, and Mastered Ultra Instinct. So, no. Vegeta and Goku are insignificantly stronger than they were in the ToP when they fought Broly.

Also, I believe his suppressed great ape form came from the necklace. Peragus kept the necklace on him to prevent his great ape form so when he got to the point of transforming into it the necklace was still holding it in but couldn't be turned on to suppress it so his body had to suppress and control it. And that this was his first time ever using this form cause he has never been pushed that far. AND Peragus even says it SEEMS he has suppressed his great ape form because he doesn't know and has never seen Broly do that. And yes I know he would need to look at the moon for that transformation to happen, but like you said he's just a freak of nature.

Broly, in his Ikari form, gave Goku the " Puny God" treatment like Hulk did with Loki but it's much more brutal!!!

It just makes so much sense, the suppression of the ozzaru makes him bigger!

Broly’s inclusion makes Kale seem like a poorly used character even more. I hope that changes.

@@MedK001 Broly was stated to be the strongest in Z and the Z movies, so i don't really think so.

I think ssj4 will be cannon to just Broly, there's nothing coincidental when it comes to toryama and he knew exactly what he was doing when he decided to make broly cannon. The comparisons to Kale differ somewhat as well. For instance she didn't have yellow eyes like him but she was outta control like him until they both kinda figured out how their power somehow works. In the end Broly is in a league of his own and it makes me wonder about the tuffles or babis kind. Are they cannon. Did they get locked up in the galactic patrol prison planet. Never know with A. T.

It’s not entirely weird that Brody couldn’t turn SS prior to the death of Paragus. Goku himself said it’s not the matter of strength. But it’s the ‘ pain of loss that triggers ‘ SS form initially.

Also rage used to use the super saiyan form is different from the rage from the suppressed great ape form because super saiyan is formed form emotional pain ,like when someone you grew up with and is basically your brother dies , While the suppressed great ape form is formed from primal rage , when you are about to die from starving, you get food and someone comes and tries to take that from you

Powerscaling isnt a legitimate form of debating powerlevels because people just make up their own scaling and its always different which is why its just not accepted in most vs battles circles. Jiren is stronger than beerus, as stated by whis in episode 93 and 110, and Goku said broly MIGHT be stronger than beerus, when we know Full power jiren and UI Goku suppassed him by episode 123, by the time Mui is limit breaker jiren comes, the only ones to stop them are angels.

LSSj has a 500x multiplier for me, and Kale's controlled version gives it a 50% multiplier boost.

Plot. Would anyone be impressed by Broly if things were made to make sense and 100% accurate and consistent and base Vegeta would have just killed him with a single punch? It would have been dumb, so it it's only logical Broly has to be able to put up a fight even in base for the sake of the plot.

I’ve had grand mal seizures for ten years now! Him surviving volts of electricity and being able to get stronger makes him my favorite dragon ball or z character

I honestly hope we see SSJ4 again. Whether it be another Timeline, another Universe, whatever, I so badly want to see SSJ4 Back in Action

I like to think the forms are equivalent to other character forms. So: 1. Base form 2. SS4 3. SS Rage (like Trunk's) 4. LSS (like the original/ Kale of course). Though of course each is "stronger" relative to Broly's base power.

I just like how stupidly OP Broly still is even in his base form. Easily my favorite character because he’s unique among previous Saiyan tropes. He was born powerful, like having a natural raw talent for something and he goes against the grain of transformations. I do miss the old Broly a little bit but, I’d say I like the new one better. I also really hope they do make his x10 great ape multiplier something that stacks with other forms. Imagine the bro hitting SSJ2 with a stacked x10 multiplier. I also like how they kept the signature green aura and attacks. To me it just SCREAMS unbridled power.

I like this examination of Broly. Yes Legendary SSJ is it’s own form. He used it against Gogeta, which is why Gogeta had to go blue. I mean they were so powerful they broke reality. Also this is the first time Broly has ever fought a foe even close to his power, so he learned a whole lot, which Goku acknowledges in the film at the end. Also Whis reaction says a lot, he knew Broly would live and his destiny is not yet begun.

I do think in broly’s case that his ssj form is equal to 500x because we can all agree that broly’s ssj is too different than just a regular ssj and would make sense powerscaling wise.

it depends on how you look at it , it's not the actual transformation that makes Broly so strong but his base form is so far ahead in power than Goku's & Vegeta's that he can stay in his base form while they transform into super saiyan 1,2 and maybe 3 because his base power is the same level or more than the power boost they get from going super saiyan so when he finally turns super saiyan it's the same power boost but just on a different base power level so he's going to be wayyy stronger in SSJ than Goku & Vegeta was but his actual SSJ transformation is the same power boost as Goku, Vegeta, Goten, Gohan, Trunks etc .. his base form is just way higher than all of their base form

Broly eyes came back yellow in his full power super saiyan while he was about to be killed by gogeta, now idk what to think about this but maybe he was controlling his power that he was not going beserk anymore like kale did on the T. O. P. idk just am just rambling

My theory is that the great ape form is fused with the ssj forms because his eyes went white and he became big and with ssj full power he fully controlled the great ape form in his ssj because he became much bigger

It is because his eyes are yellow in that form, they are only white because he is angry, they went back to normal then because Broly came to the realization that he was about to be killed which snapped him out of his rage.

Broly with the yellow eyes looks so damn badass.

Could be that in the midst of what I'm going to assume were near-constant zenkais on Vampa, Broly's body acclimated to use the power of an Ape without needing the transformation, or just that his innate primitiveness allows him to use it since he isn't the most controlled fighter to begin with, more a primal force. Training with Paragus would have taught him martial SKILL, but his power level, I guarantee, came from a TON of zenkai boosts. Basically, Broly is what non-"civilized" saiyans probably become...which makes me shudder to imagine prehistoric Planet Vegeta.

I imagine it's similar to the hulk. Any emotion can bring out his power, it's just a matter of getting his blood pumping. Any change in his emotion can trigger an increase or decrease in power. His emotions are more closely tied to his power than any other saiyan.

For once, I seriously have a theory on what exactly a 'Legendary' Super Saiyan is (special Saiyans/super Saiyans like Kale and Broly, not talking about the legend that is Saiyans going ssj), and why they are the way they are: Piggy backing on what Geekdom101 said about the possible relation between this Broly and GT's ssj4 form, it seems very plausible that a Lssj is a Saiyan that can (from birth) tap into the power of the great ape transformation without actually transforming-or rather-what's known as Lssj is *actually* their own unique *version* of the great ape transformation. And just like with Kaioken, can be applied to any other transformation. So to put it simply, Broly was using lssj power/great ape power throughout the whole fight. What Geekdom referred to as Broly's first transformation, was actually him tapping into a bit of that power; the Dragon Ball equivalent of Naruto using a bit of the Kyuubi's power in that iconic fight against Haku. You could call it Brody's version of a partial lssj/great ape transformation, and as the fight went on, he kept pushing it further and further until he lost the little control he had over himself and went totally berserk. Finally, the hulked out neon-green haired form he took being the equivalent of a complete great ape transformation with ssj on top. If he ever does gains control/mastery of it, you could say that it draws parallels with Goku going from rampaging golden great ape to ssj4 in GT. All of the above could even be applied to the original Broly. Just that here in Super, they made it to where he gradually uses more of the 'great ape power' instead of using all of it immediately/complete transformation all at once, or something like that. Makes sense? Got any questions?

Broly unlocks the 10x power boost from the Supressed Great Ape form, but it's not only that, it's like he can also stack rage boost on top of that like 3x or 5x to become even more powerful with the power of the Great Ape alone

I think from training with his pet. Broly has learned to tap into his primal power like how animals can get stronger and more fierce the more angry for an exchange of going crazy and all out like how abese make them. So by being with his pet that is how broly tapped into his primal power and formed the suppressed great ape form by accident. Which is the reason broly does attack anything and everything that comes in his way when he is enraged

The technique of flying is thus far my most favorite technique.
