I hope they bring back this character and in a better way. This Taskmaster came off to lackluster, bland and appeared to be a one off villain. Taskmaster has always been a relentless nemesis of the Avengers and other heroes who comes back at any particular event

Considering the multiverse is a thing, they can easily get a much better and cooler Taskmaster from another universe

I think Taskmaster in a way is supposed to be a knockoff to the heroes she copies. She copies but isn't as effective at using the same moves as the heroes because she simply doesn't have the same body. Most of the heroes are taller than her and more muscular, and because most of them are super soldiers, they're physically stronger. The only person she can effectively copy is Natasha because she has a similar body type and has probably been through the same training as her. Even the reason she can copy them is a knockoff of Tony's tech because Tony's tech allows to him to analyze and counteract someone's fight patterns.

Well, that's the MCU's version the comics is basically the perfect soldier who can basically beat all normal humans like Steve, Natasha, Wade, Shang Chi, Frank, Sam, Bucky, etc in hand to hand combat but also being a threat to some who have powers.

@@ntaive5597 Original taskmaster is a guy who has a really good memory, and he doesn’t need cybernetic implants. He’s also a lot more of a prominent threat

1st problem, Taskmaster is going against one hero, instead of the entire Avengers. I would've liked to see Taskmaster picking up fight skills from her foes and changing tasks in an instant, depending on who she's fighting. 2nd, she's leading an army of Widows, who have received exact same training as Natasha, and therefore have the same skillsets. The ability to copy skills doesn't really stand out here. 3rd, the heroes Taskmaster copies are post Civil War Avengers, but the audience have already seen Avengers in their maximum state in Endgame.

@@ijionclifton9148 Kinda did, Taskmaster was pretty unique imo being a recurring mercenary, whose purpose was to train henchman. But in the film Taskmaster is just a watered down Bucky/Winter Soldier. Taskmaster basically became the silent/quiet bad guy who wasn't always bad and serves a more evil dude and also happens to have a strong connection to the main character. See: Darth Vader, Tron/Rinzler, Bucky/Winter Soldier

Most of these are a stretch. There are mimicked fighting moves and techniques, yes. But Taskmaster doesn't "copy" powers like flight from Iron Man or swinging from a tether like Spider-Man. She has a HUD in her helmet because it's tech-based, but it's not a mimicked power. Nor is her marksmanship with a bow a mimic of Hawkeye's ability to shoot a bow, it's just a skill.

I actually think her character can align with Tony Masters now that she is free, just have her the more accurate skullmask, voice modulator and personality then her backstory can be disregarded as she can be a semi moral mercenary/trainer.

I don't really like Taskmaster as a character (yet) because she didn't really have a personality. They could have done a lot more with her and I hope they change that in future films. BUT the fight scenes with Taskmaster were brilliant! You could clearly see all the different fighting styles which was very fun to watch :D

More proof that Taskmaster should have just been an Avengers Level Threat instead of being a female black widow antagonist just for the sake of diversifying the MCU cast.

Wait wasn't too the og taskmaster a guy with no teched out suit? He also had photographic reflexes that let him copy abilities unless these required super human strength. At least that's what my comics say. So even though he can throw a shield like cap he can't put the same power behind like cap does or winter soldier. give me og taskmaster anyway over the film version.

Support to the stunt double for playing the character he really did a good job

Best editing out of any other showcase. Even though I'm not a fan of how much they've changed the character, I still very much like how she fights and mimics other heroes. Can't wait to see more of her fighting in Thunderbolts.

Some of these feel too inaccurate. For instance, there’s no way anyone could have known about the fight between Vision and Hawkeye and therefore he’s clearly not mimicking that scene (not to mention that it’s just a basic push/punch that could’ve been done by any number of heroes or people).

To those who don’t like it, maybe later in the MCU there’s going to be somebody who saw Taskmaster in action and was inspired to become her successor.

3:55 such a poser. I really hope we get to see Taskmaster again in the future, whether it's this character as an antihero type getting a more fleshed out character or just someone with the same tech. It's just so fun to watch

This taskmaster as a threat was great! A worthy menace that if we didn't knew anything about Infinity War and Endgame would make us fear for Nat's life, she brought both Black Widows and the Red Guardian to the edge of the cliff (pun intended). But as a character, she was done dirty even for the standard of this new origin that I actually felt potential on. Hopefully she'll be back in Thunderbolts and live up to Taskmaster's character as much as lived up to the threat level

I thought clint burton/hawkeye was the only model for the taskmaster's bow and arrow scene, but if you look at it, the winter soldier's movements are flickering in some places. 🤔 I didn't notice at all until it was pointed out！ The owner of the video posted amazing 😁 I'm observing you a lot. 👍

So Tony Masters actual has the ability to copy moves by ACTUALLY memorising at a go but this one has a recording visor. Yeah Tony Masters skills sounds cooler than "Antonia". Also the fact that Kamen Rider Skull exists and the design they went made Taskmaster look like a rejected Sentai character is just funny

taskmaster in this movie was amazing! i only got one porblem with it. since he was actually a female in this movie it would be better if the suit was more feminine and more thin since it really is just one hell of a plot twist when she takes her helmet of and it's actually the daughter of that crazy dude. so i think that the suit should have been more thin and slick, would have made her moves much better too. she'd be damn fast. or they should've just made him actually male

No, makes sense that a pretty much literal ghost from Natasha's past and the physical embodiment of Natasha's guilt being who she had to defeat. I mean she was mentioned all the way back in the Avengers as someone Natasha felt a ton of guilt for "killing". Only makes sense that they would want to pay off that scene with Loki.
