‘Every Australian wants lower inflation’: Shadow Treasurer slams Labor budget plans

Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor says the cost-of-living relief that “every Australian wants and deserves” is “lower inflation”.
This comes amid discussions of the upcoming budget and criticisms of the current government’s policies.
“We’ve had lots of signals from him [Treasurer Jim Chalmers] that he wants this to be a big spending budget,” Mr Taylor told Sky News Australia.
“We’ve [Coalition] said the key here is to make sure your economy grows faster than your spending.
“That brings the budget back to structural surplus.
“It’s pretty straightforward.”

Plus we're spending millions overseas ($100m to Vietnam for "Climate reparations", $100m to Ukraine, etc.) Albo is the father Christmas of the Australasian region. We need to stop being the welfare country of the region and start looking out for ourselves. We need gas/coal reservations to ensure we don't have shortages for our own power stations. We need to limit the purchases of houses from foreign owners so that our own citizens aren't competing with the rest of the world. We need to limit immigration back to sensible levels. The list goes on and on. Basically, the government needs to live within its means, instead of spending money like a drunken sailor to win votes everywhere. We're simultaneously decreasing the prosperity of our citizens yet spending more.

If every Australia wants lower inflation, why is the Albanese government creating inflationary economic conditions that lower the value of everyone's money, which will bankrupt many Australians. Although possibly, that is the intention. Grow you own food and stop spending at the supermarkets, they will then be poorer and you will be richer.

Labor and the RBA don't want to admit that this Labor government is the one that cause infation to rise not the people. They just love to toture ordinary people. Crap. Profits are required for businesses to operate. Inflation is caused by governments printing money and restricting supplies into the market (timber supplies from Victorian state logging industry which was stopped, gas shortages due to bans, ) Basic supply and demand. One of the problems is lack of productivity. Paying unions wage increases all the time just adds further to the cost of every building that is built. If Labor were serious about inflation, they wouldnt' have spent an extra $185b last financial year.

CBA’s head of Australian economics, Gareth Aird, said on Tuesday that not only were further rate rises now a “near‑term risk”, but any cuts will also come slower than previously expected. Most of the expected cuts will likely be pushed back to 2025, he said. He explained that strong population growth, driven by net overseas immigration, has put pressure on the Consumer Price Index. “Most notably the housing‑related components,” Mr Aird wrote. “As a result, demand is stronger and so inflation is falling less quickly than otherwise.” Meaning immigration is the problem. We're inheriting THEIR problems!
