EVERY Amount of Substance Equation You NEED To Know｜A Level Chemistry (AQA)
This video is a breakdown of the equations you should know for the A Level Chemistry Amount of substance topic 3.1.2 for the AQA exam board. This is more of a revision video so be sure to do lots of past paper questions! It includes moles, mass, molar mass (Mr), concentration, volume, mass concentration, ideal gas PV=nRT, mass concentration, dilutions, percentage yield and percentage atom economy.
I go through the the equations themselves and their units, and give some extra information/explanations that I find relevant.

should coefficient be included in atom economy equations or not?

Yes! Sorry that I didn't mention this. Due to the equation involving 'mass' rather than 'Mr', we essentially need to use the equation m=nxMr and then just assume the moles = the molar coefficient. for example, 2CH3OH in an equation will have a mass of (2 x 32) grams. Hope that clears things up! :)
I think u forgot density = mass/ volume

Well spotted! I meant to include this in the mass concentration part of the video since it's the same equation (density = mass/vol.) but forgot, sorry about that! Do keep it in mind for your exam :)

It should do yeah :) the maths doesn't change across exam boards. Do some past paper amount of substance questions from OCRB to be sure
