In 20 14, Airbus introduced A3 30 Neo to rival Boeing's 7 8 7, marking a friendly competition in the skies. The Neo distinguishes itself with groundbreaking advancements, particularly its engines. It's equipped with the exclusive Trent 7000 from Rolls-Royce, a state-of-the-art engine that not only succeeds its predecessor, the Trent 700, but also integrates the eco-friendly features of the Trent XWB, which powers the highly efficient A3 50. The Trent 7000 features an expansive 112-inch ( or 280-centimeter) fan and a 10 to 1 bypass ratio, which is double that of the earlier model. Owing to its compact, high-pressure core and the most recent advancements in fully swept, wide-chord fan technology, it achieves a 10 percent reduction in specific fuel consumption compared to the Trent 700. This leap in efficiency renders the A330 Neo a compelling choice for airlines aiming to slash operational costs and environmental impact.

    A330Neo is a good aircraft, but claiming that airlines are saying goodbye to 787 for A330Neo is ridiculous. Both aircraft have their pros and cons. Main advantage of 787 is having a composite structure, therefore being lighter. A330Neo is cheaper.

    787 has a shorter wing span than a330NEOS , therefore a specific use case of picking the 787 over the 330 NEO. Taipei Songshan (ICAO Code: RCSS/IATA Code = TSA) Airport is an example of an airport that is unable to accomodate a339. You need to fly 250 passengers, so forget narrow bodies such as the A32x and 737. 787 are used everyday to fly from TSA to HND by: China Airlines (CI), Eva Airways (BR), Japan Airlines (JL), and All Nippon Airways (NH). Around 2014 JL and NH upgraded to the 787 from 767s. Eva bought the 787 to replace their a330-200. CI acquired the 787 to replace the a330-300. Yes, the A339 costs less in terms of pilot training when you already have A330-200 and A330-300 pilots on your payroll. The revenue CI and BR gets for HND TSA flight is too lucrative to not go with the 787. Just to put in prospective, For the average traveler that wants to fly 3-4 hours from tokyo to Taipei your options are: NRT to TPE or HND to TSA. NRT to TPE Economy fare (350-500 Round Trip). HND to TSA Economy Fare (450- 750 round Trip)

    Typical of recent videos, is to over hype the title. The A330-Neo is undoubtably a fine aircraft but to it being bought above the 787 is a ridiculous statement, most 787 have been in the air for years ahead of the A330 Neo. I suspect the A330neo's being bought are for cost and availability and its recent upgrades. This comparing of Aircraft is senseless, in that different aircraft fill different needs for airlines. I suspect video makers are getting desperate to "sell" their videos in a crowded market and just like the newspapers before them, exaggerate and even lie to get a response.

    As far as I know the a330neo and the 787 have pretty much the same fuel efficiency. However, doesn’t require extra pilot and cabin crew training like if an airline opt for the 787. However, I think the 787 efficiency comes also from its design and materials and beats at some aspects the neo. But if an airline considers also the issues with the 787 related to Boeing’s greed, it may also be a crucial investment factor.

    If it meets the requirements of the airline, they should order it, be it airbus or boeing. Also, As of this date, the 787 Dreamliner has no casualties in revenue flight.

    The sales’ problem of the 330NEO is that there still a lot quite new 330CEO in service and those aircraft are quite up to date, so there is no need for airlines to invest in a new aircraft. The same is with Embraer E2 jet

    I am a big fan of the A330/A340 but quite a part of the sales was because of the huge 787 delays. New large A330NEO orders will materialise because the production line of the 787 is full until 2031/2032.....fine for the industry, not because they are begging for it.

    Also the A330 neo still has a bit of stuff that is the same as the A330 ceo and also it’s not a huge difference. The Boeing 787 is better than the minor change A330 neo.

    @@O530CarrisPT_C2 yeah they are much better. I hate the A330 neo the most because it’s not a huge improvement with the design. The best is their A350 which is a lot better than both of these. But the 787 is ok since the design is different from the 777 and better than the A330 neo 100%.

    Hawaiian dumped their A330-800s because they realized the money they saved buying a less-than capable aircraft compared to the 787 wasn’t worth it. The 10 338s that Hawaiian cancelled are basically just being passed around from airline to airline because they have no use long term to the airlines leasing them. It’s attractive because they’re cheaper due to subsidies. If the A330 is so great, why haven’t Air France, British Airways and Lufthansa ordered any? They only ordered the 350 and have no plans to add any neos. Strange!

    Hawaiian were given huge leanings by Boeing as they had been a mainly Boeing fleet -Alaska airlines ownership was the final straw as they ONLY fly Boeing having disposed of the ex Virgin A 320 to Air Canada. Nothing in this business is simple !

    A350 is better than both the A330 neo and Boeing 787 because the nice interior. While the 787 interior is different from the 777 and the a 330 neo is not a huge difference because a bit of the design is still the same.

    I`m of the opinion as good as the A330Neo is it really won`t have a huge impact on B787. I understand the latter has had problems but it`s sold very well & has an excellent order book. Having said that A330Neo has added some attractive features/improvements which will only help it`s sales & every sale is one B787 loses so AB will be happy enough considering it`s relatively low development cost.

    @@volgrenfanbus1294 You may be correct for most airlines in general but for some airlines it`s not always `the best` thats for them. Any airlines that has A330Ceo`s & want to continue with a familiar plane could well choose A330Neo because A330Ceo was a terrific aircraft. The `Neo` has some very worthwhile additions other than the very frugal Trent-7000`s, the wings, interiors, & increases in take-off weight are compelling, true, sales have been slow but this aircraft is now getting extra attention, prepare for some larger orders to come.

    I've flown on the 787 and find it a pleasant and comfortable plane. The ability of the aircraft to pressurize to only 6000 feet instead of 10,000 offers a more 'normal' level of atmosphere, providing less stress on a human body. I'm not sure where you flew or what airline, but you apparently got a bad flight.

    Again, your AI narrator is terrible! But then, so is your information. If the 787 is dead, then why is there such a back order for the jet? Why is the A330 Neo having such a hard time gaining popularity? This is just another example of bad information and bias towards one aircraft manufacturer.

    The things I hate about the A330 neo is not a huge improvement. The Boeing 787 is way better and the very best the A350.

    Dreamliner is not a Dream-it is noisy and uncomfortable -the 777 is miles better and the 330 neo is also well ahead of 787..

    Imagine bird flying with fixed wing?now why 787 fly smóthly?the thing is the wingbetter engineer and pilot knows it.Other planes just modified to look curved but 787 is naturally flexible and latest wing technology.

    What I mean is airbus tries to advertise this is good for all operations which its not, and with the propaganda of airbus technology making tires last for 12 years WTF. I am an aircraft mechanic, airbus doesn’t make tires or landing gears and I have never seen an AC tire last more than 4months at the most depending on operations. Total BS.

    This sounds like a thinly veiled paid advertisement by Airbus. In particular, most of the breathy 'improvements' are framed relative to a prior Airbus product (rather than their competitor). Well duhh. Of course a new Airbus product will surpass a previous Airbus product; otherwise you should sack the entire R&D department!

    2500 have died flying on faulty 330 planes. 260 almost died over learmouth on a Qantas a330. The 787 is a clean sheet plane, that is by far the best and efficient plane for its loading. A330 neo is a 30 year re-winged plane, with almost no Airbus plane getting the underwing engine performance
