Eversong Woods - Music & Ambience - World of Warcraft

Ойындар

The blood elves have called the resplendent Eversong Woods home for millennia, but the stewardship of this forested region has not been without its perils. Bent on harnessing the elves’ mystical Sunwell, Prince Arthas and the Scourge carved a path of destruction through the heart of Quel’Thalas during the Third War, leaving a tainted scar across Eversong Woods. Thus far the elves have worked extensively to drive the lingering undead from their lands and cleanse the wounds of Arthas’s assault, but the task is far from over. As Quel’Thalas looks toward a new future, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Eversong will be a critical first step.

Holy shit, i can basicly feel the moment i was playing back in the time of 2008. being 11-12. Sitting there, playing on an old pc. Barely scratching out 30 fps on low settings. Music on 100% on an old trust headset. My dad comes into the room and ask if im having fun, and if i would like a glass of cola and some m&m's. One of the most happy periods in my life, and this music makes me re-live this exact moment. Now im sitting here, in my apartment. 25 years old, on a good pc playing WoW classic and all the m&m's and coke i could buy myself and eat it all. Still, nothing compares. Thanks Everness.

I didn't play WoW when it released. I was in my senior year of college, so I was too busy studying, working a part time job at GameStop, and preparing for grad school overseas in Japan. But my roommate asked me if I could use my employee discount to pre-order and purchase the game, which I did as an early holiday gift for him in 2004. He played it on his laptop in the living room area while I studied in our room. But whenever I would pass through the living room to go to the bathroom, or stretch my legs, or make something to eat in the kitchen, I would hear the sweet melodies of this game. He was a great friend, that was a great time, and those were wonderful memories. I miss those days dearly, and oftentimes I wish I could go back and relive them. My life is good now, but those times were magical, and while I never really played WoW much, the music means so much to me. I can only imagine how hard and heavy the nostalgia is for people who associate such strong memories of playing the game with this incredible music. Their minds must be instantly transported to those virtual worlds. I love reading all these life stories of the fond memories people had discovering and playing WoW in those vanilla days and how this music brings back the richness of those experiences.

What I wouldn't give to go back to those times where i made 10 blood elves just to inspect each class again and read all the new quests and items for the first time. This zone was where my journey truly began. My brother and I were sharing an account, both making paladins, me secretly mailing his hard earned gold to my level 10's so I could get weapon training... Sitting at the shore at night, the full moon shining down on the sand, illuminating it in the purest of silvery glow. Just watching and listening to the tides of the ocean. Or visiting the Inn. Lounging on one of these divine, luxurious pillows. Letting the gentle flow and hovering of pots and magic sooth you. Watching other adventurers come and go... It really was more than just a game. There is a big contrast in the mood of music between the Blood Elves and the Night Elves. The Blood Elves' music sounds magical & mysterious, but there's also a sense of worry in the music considering their hunger for magic and their rivalry with the Scourge . However, the Night Elves music sounds more calming and graceful considering their strong connection with nature and their commitment to be healers (shown by their moonwells).

I understand your viewpoint, but I'd like to add that I feel the strings and more strumming gossamer tones in the Blood elves' music is more aimed towards the general air of royalty that surrounds them. You're very right in saying the music is sounding worrisome, but I'd even go as far to far as to say it's a mournful type of music. It's all very distant and echoing, to reflect upon the many lives lost in their legacy of becoming the Blood elves. It's all very reflective of a secluded wondrous people with unique knowledge and powers, listening to this music as an outsider to the blood elves invokes a feeling of both warmth and welcoming, and one of being in a very isolated and faraway place.

Maybe when we first played this game, we had a different view of the world, ourselves, and had different thoughts (even assurances) of where we'd be today, and maybe our expectations aren't what we wanted. But maybe when we experience this feeling of nostalgia - both how it reminds us of how happy we were then... and as we share our memories of a whismsical time, we realize we were happy together. Maybe we also forget that we had a slow of problems then that we got passed today. Maybe that shows our bond with one another, and this human connection shows that things really aren't so bad after all. Hello my fellow fans of the old days of WOW. Wherever you are, I wish you well, and want you to know if you're here sharing the moment with one another: things really are better than we give them credit to be. Best of luck to you, and be proud of yourself.

Nothing beats Eversong as a zone and Silvermoon as a city. That glowing aura all around you and deep beneath the surface you can feel it in you bones, the dark, sinister secrets that lie behind closed gates and high balconies. You feel that sense of awe and admiration for the beautiful home of the Elves but you are never entirely peaceful, a sense of uneasiness you can never really shake off. I find the blood elves themselves quite intriguing. Their glowing green eyes. Their long ears that can bend downward with emotion. Their affinity for magic. And lastly, their history. Their world is so wonderfully polarizing in both its beauty and decay. I remember just standing still in the middle of these woods, listening to the sound of what I thought to be magic reverberating through the air, a constant flow of life and energy. The golden light bathing everything in warmth and the curly, whimsical-looking tree branches lending even more character to the forest. Blasting my way through annoying scourge in the haunting sadness of the Dead Scar. I'll always miss this world. Edit 5/11/2020: Wow, I never thought this tidbit of prose would blow up the way it did. I truly appreciate all of the likes and comments, and I hope you are all doing well - or are finding the will to survive - right now despite this troublesome year. Unfortunately, while I do not forsee myself returning to WoW anytime soon, I still feel the same about all of my memories of playing so long ago. Being able to empathize with and relate to one another through sharing our thoughts like this is my absolute favorite thing about KZread, or the entire web, really. Thank you Everness, and everyone here who feels the same!

My father used to let me stay up late and watch him do quests, do raids, and all of that stuff. We used to go through old dungeons together when i was still fairly low level (i was in the 50-60 and he was max level) and he told me about stuff in the game and i loved (and still do love) learning about the history. Now i have a level 120 Blood Elf thats a demon hunter. Even though i do need to still get gear and stuff, i always go to Eversong and just stay there listening to and looking at the beautiful story the landmarks have, the music, and the ambience.

I remember my first time playing WoW; it was during the Lich King expansion. I created my first character, a Blood Elf Paladin, and instantly fell in love with the lore, visuals, and gameplay. But what was most enchanting was the boundless unknown of the world. I saw the whole world of Warcraft as Eversong Forests. So, when I finished all questlines at level 20 in the Blood Elf zones and stepped into the portal to the Eastern Kingdoms, I was stunned by the large scale of the continent. Every time I went to new locations, it felt like a miraculous, wonderful event. I'm thankful to Blizzard for creating this game. I will always love WoW, especially the Blood Elf storyline. These memories will warm my soul forever.

I remember seeing two blood elves who came to Elwynn Forest and sat in the clearing south of Goldshire. I’d never seen one before, and didn’t have Burning Crusade yet. I remember when I got it a few weeks later I rolled a mage I named Mageroyal and being so enthralled by Eversong Woods. It was unlike anything I’d ever seen in WoW, it felt so ethereal and beautiful to me. Nothing ever felt as magical to me in the game as that experience did.

I leveled all playable Blood elf classes to level 110, and each time I leveled one of my Blood elves, I always enjoy the music of Eversong Woods! Especially the part that starts at 29:06 It so fit the Blood elves! A mix of beauty and sadness... May the eternal Sun guide the Sin'dorei people to even more prosperity!

Warcraft is a universe. The different zones, cultures, stories about dark forces and hymns about heroic champion slaying dragons, evil kings, etc. Everything fits together in a way that it creates an enormous feeling about diving deep down in a universe every one ever dreamed about. It is awesome. And the day a WoW vanishes, there will die more than just a game is going to die. I think I can say that I am a bit worried about this day. I'm a bit ashamed about this, but I admit that I am going to cry on this day.

Hard to describe the feeling of this game's early days. Vanilla, BC, WOtLK. Just so good. No experience is meant to last forever, though. Eventually it just got repetitive and focused on boring raids hoping for epic loot. Wish I could wipe my brain and go back to vanilla WoW.

No you really don't. You tell yourself you do (hell, you might actually believe it) but you really don't want to go back to Vanilla. Class "balance" in Vanilla was utterly nonexistant, no mounts till 40 (and, even then, they were cripplingly expensive), grinding for your levels instead of questing everywhere, nonsensical flightpaths, no LFG, 40 people competing for the same raid loot, bosses that REQUIRE a certain damage type to defeat (Viscidius, AQ40 for instance), ugly graphics, and the Reck Bomb. Need I go on? Clean your nostalgia goggles. Vanilla was fucking horrendous.

What a great fucking time of my life. I was about 9 yrs old when i started playing, i was just a kid and the effect of this game on me being a kid really brought that noob feeling to its fullest potential and i thought it was a big deal too to stay up until like 12 am playing this game and then when i went to sleep on the weekends i could not wait to wake up the next morning to play. This really did leave an imprint on my soul man. It's insane. I'll never forgot that feeling or those moments of finding out something new and just wondering what was next and thinking wow how will i ever reach level 80 let alone take on the Lich King when a group of five players all get decimated by knucklerot in the dead scar area lol . It was just so perfect, god bless this game. I have yet to have that feeling to this day or will i ever again? Who knows, i really hope so.

My god, the Blood Elves... Such a brilliantly thought-through race addition. On the surface, they were just a sexy elf race to complement the Horde's more beastial race lineup. But they were so much more than that; their past is tragic, their future is defined by a desperate fight for a lost home and an addition to the very thing that destroyed them. It's no coincidence that their color scheme is gold, red and black. On the one hand, these are regal and glorious colors. But on the other hand, they are also the colors of death. Not the blues, whites and blacks of winter and Scourge, but the colors of Autumn, when everything shines brighter and stronger because time is running out and death is just over the horizon. One final breath before charging towards doom.

I remember when I made my first belf and logged in, the colours, the sounds... It was Epic. I remember getting to the Dawning Lane (The road that leads through the Ruins of Silvermoon) and the music starts up hard and slaps me in the face. No music has really been able to do that to me in my mind.
