It’s a crappy song about three people who made very bad life choices and are faced with the consequences of those choices. We are shamed in the song if we don’t view these people as victims of something. The song is ideologically and morally bankrupt but it’s a good means for allowing other losers to nod along approvingly and convince themselves they are virtuous.

@@darrenp1549 Accountability, sir. That is the difference between real life and this song. In real life, we are expected to be accountable for our actions. This is an example of virtue signaling put to a music track. It’s a lazy out for those with little to no virtue to associate themselves with a “virtuous” message. Similar to how religion works.

Tonight, as I was waiting at a red light-I see a homeless man with a sign that read "Needy not Greedy" and to my amazement..one by one, each vehicle began rolling down their windows and started handing this man various items. A donut, cigarettes, cash, a grocery bag with food..and one caring soul even took the coat off his own back, and gave it to this gentleman. It was windy and chilly here in Florida, so I know he really appreciated it. I spotted him a $50, because all of this sudden compassion really restored my faith in humanity. He began to cry, and he reached through the window and hugged me. VERY POWERFUL!..and a clear reminder that if you are in a position to help someone down on their luck, don't think twice. I love this song, because it conveys a clear message-and that message is..that you never know what someone is going through in their personal life, so rather than casting judgement-extend a helping hand.

The hate is because of the shame we do/should all feel for treating our fellow citizens so bad, our brothers and sisters, it's a constant reminder that for some of us to live so well, so many others must live so horribly, even if most can't articulate that fact, they no it, deep down..It's a reminder that we don't live in the greatest country on Earth, it's just propaganda, and not even close to being the truth..We live in an evil empire, now that's the truth..Although few understand that fact either...I'm glad you made it out..Peace...

My father retired from air Force right before this came out. We moved back to the states and it was my first CD. Still have it. And it STILL PLAYS. No skips.

There are so many songs I love, but this is the only song I could say I wish I’d written. Everything about this song takes me back to this album’s release, back when you went out and bought CDs, and I picked this up randomly and was blown away. Been a massive Everlast fan since. The only song that has a feeling anything like this is Iron Sky by Paolo Nutini

Sweetheart .. I am 66 years old and I want to thank you for this song. I liked Jump Around when my kids loved it! Obvious talent there too. But sweetie .. (I can do that because I am old lol) YOU really affected this old hippie's heart with this song son! I listen to this song every time I don't understand today's world or I slip to that dark place in anyone's heart of "judgement" and it shakes the UGLY right out of me! Never EVER estimate your reach in making people better people Sir! Just ONE Canadian fan!
