Ever heard of an Oxymel? We love them and so does our gut!
Have you ever heard of an Oxymel? How about Haymaker’s Punch or Switchel? It is a type of drinking vinegar and boy do we love them here on Forever Foods Farm. It is very important to us to use what grows here to its fullest potential and using the leftover fruit mash from steam extracting to make drinking vinegars has been so fun, delicious and healthy! An Oxymel is made with raw apple cider vinegar and raw honey in a way that preserves the probiotic benefits for your gut. This is also way more refreshing on a hot day than just water. Add a few tablespoons to ice water or level up with seltzer, lime and fresh mint. Let your inner brewer get creative. The batch we made in this video has blackberry, tart cherry, Goumi berry, mahonia berry, turmeric, ginger, lime, honey, apple cider vinegar, mint and basil. I on the oxymel learning curve.
So happy to see others making oxymels!!! I’ve been making my own fire ciders for years. Fire cider “pulp” get made into seasoning / fire cider salt!!

@@foreverfoodsfarm Yes, I dehydrate the pulp, grind into a powder and add sea salt.

Hi! I’m a studying clinical herbalist myself and love a good oxymel! If I might ask…. Where do you get your labels??? I gotta some! 2:53

I create my own labels using Avery. I have them print them if it is a refrigerated product so I can wash and reuse the bottles. That’s why I put the more unique ingredients on the lid since those are not reusable.
Just watched bored replacement the main power wire that was dark brown is a bad connection you probably already figured that out
Why can’t you sell them?

It falls under the juice umbrella which has a lot of additional training and certifications which I do not currently have. Maybe one day!
