I think it is absolutely wonderful and wish it were an hour longer. Fabulous, mad, beautiful and strange. Love it and love Daphne.

I think that the amount of people saying " She can't sing " don't get it. This is very Bowie meets Cabaret . . . ( No one in cabaret is trying to be Whitney or Mariah? ) It has an edge because she doesn't use her voice like a singer normally would. It's almost narrative / spoken word and the choppiness and pausing or awkward phrasing is exactly what Bowie would've done. Do people just not know their references?

@@velvetclaw2316 Have you seen Jessica Lange's cover of " Life On Mars " ? This is a nod to something you don't get. This is cabaret. Not just cabaret a SPECIFIC direction of it. If this isn't for you, it isn't for you. But you also just don't GET IT. I'm not saying she is Kate Bush at all, but if you've only grown up listening to say . . . Lady Gaga's plagiarized garbage then you're not going to have broad perspective or understanding of references and if you don't have that YOU USUALLY won't be able to have an appreciation for it. Just because you can't appreciate an Opera ( for example ) doesn't mean it's bad or sung poorly. You just don't get it. Just like I don't get blue-grass or the appeal of most country music. and I get it. I have no interest in that lane, so why would I look into it to try and understand it or have an appreciation for it?

@@viktorreznov4718 The 'Venus' music video by Lady Gaga, previously planned to release as 2nd single but was cancelled and changed to the song 'Do What You Want' (but DWYW video was scrapped in the end). You can find some of her 'Venus' artwork and you will find that the concept is kinda fit with this video :D

***** Jade get a hobbie. My friends paint sets for for Hollywood and so do I. noticed how I said my boyfriend painted Daphne's set. Not to brag but we've also painted sets for other artists, like Taylor Swift, Sia, Daft Punk, LADY GAGA etc. Why would they need a plummer on a music video set? Think before speaking and find a hobbie please. What have you done with your life & who do you work for? ***** Again, I'm not bragging at all, nor am I boasting about money-reputation-status -centered people. There's many comments on this video criticizing Daphne for copying Gaga. I'm bringing up the point that is is NOT like Gaga. She calls to thank people for their hard work, like my Boyfriend, Gaga has never called any of my friends who've worked for her to thank them. I'm not accusing Gaga of being ungrateful or a bad person, I'm just stating a FACT based on my experience. THAT is my point. Also you ARE belittling plumbers: Yup, TOTALLY belittling plumbers. Wow, I love this! It's not hard for me to though since this is a video of a gorgeous woman dressed in sunning costumes, singing about and mating with an alien, and sounding like Nico, Bowie, and Richard O'Brian (Rocky Horror). Yeah those are a lot of things I love right there :)

This is BRILLIANT ! Before Lady Gaga it was Daphne Guinness ( Who by the way, was just born not just ultra-super-wealthy but also from a noble family). Her style has inspired high-end fashion designers such as Alexander McQueen and many others. Lady Gaga actually lists her as one of her muses.

aristocracy have often been the best muses... they are generally educated, even if 'eccentric' and have a good knowledge of art and can afford to be eccentric with the security that 'weve been rich for hundreds of years, its not going to go anywhere, i can afford to immerse myself in something that doesn't matter and create beautiful things'. most commoners cant do that and the ones that amass great fortunes quickly generally have bad taste so thats where nobility plays into it. i dont think she was being classist in any way, its just an interesting fact.

Obsessed with this new video from Daphne Guinness! Her voice and style are her own, and she's wearing only the designs she loves. The song was written by Guinness, and the choreography was all by Guinness. (And it was most definitely styled by Guinness - it probably all came from her closet). A true talent.

It may have some undertones that are simlar to past music, but in the end, it's a great piece. You just need to get over yourself, and leave it alone.
