I’m amazed you were able to get it to hold air like that, but like you said, you gotta to do what you gotta to do to get home. Hopefully the bumper isn’t too crazy expensive. Ugh.

Haha everyone I talk to and show my polish tire fixing ask me how?! Haha I have to finally some time to figure out what to do with that bumper, I just don’t feel like investing a lot of money in something I didn’t do you, just makes me mad when I think about it 😡

Sorry to see your car damaged like that. It’s clueless people like the one who hit you that make me park far at the back of any lot. My guess for a painted rear OEM bumper would be $1000 + easily.

Its around that Im sure, I will have to make sure cause this bumper is made from different pieces and I would have to take is off and make sure everything else is good so I can just buy like a base bumper and put everything together

Live in a heavy populated area with horrible roads and your vehicle is parked outside of an apt complex. Lots of problems going to happen. Me personally if I was in your situation I would be driving a beater and I'd be working all the hours I can work and saving up like crazy to try to get a small house with a garage. But everyone has different lifestyles and some people like living in apartments/condos their whole life. No problem with that. Know of quite a few co-workers that have gone that route.

Man, that shit is frustrating. People are such assholes. How you gonna crash into someone's car and not leave a note? This is why I don't ever park anywhere near anyone.

I know man stupid ass people and trust me I usually park on the side if I can, but that parking was behind my job site where maybe like 4-5 car passes a day 🤷‍♂️

Rear bumper is around $300. Just buy the bumper cover and get it painted and install it yourself. Or dont paint it and just wrap it.

That’s what I was thinking, I went to the dealership and they quote me around 400$ for bumper and with painting was around 900$ so maybe I can just get a bumper and wrap it again and before I sell my car one day just keep it wrapped or paint the bumper and that’s it 😉

Thanks for the info brother but I think I will just do it myself since damage is not severe and basically I would have to replace some of the stuff nothing major

My jack did something similar. Would go up with nothing on it but as soon as it felt any type of weight it would stop (not go up anymore). Undo the screws and check fluid and/or trapped air. Top off if needed. Mine was trapped air. Bled it and it works great now. Are you paying out of pocket for the bumper? Insurance should cover all that. Probably worth paying the deductible. Those parts are expensive with paint and everything.

He gonna try to take it back to the store if not we will try you method maybe it will work again 💪 I checked the prices so it’s not that bad just for the bumper but I would have to put all the parts by myself which is fine, my deductible is high so I will just fix it and make content out of it haha

@PolishBullitt The jack should be an easy fix. I think Jack oil is maybe $5 on Amazon if it's low. I hear you on the insurance deductible. And you're right... bumpers are easy to swap. No sweat. Makes for content. Forgot to mention.. I had no idea your Wife and In-laws are from France! My wife is French to! Born and raised. Haha. Small world.

I dont believe the intake manifold is difficult to remove. I myself am a technician and even though I haven’t removed an intake manifold of a this car every other hyundai four cylinder engine manifold is pretty simple to remove

What state do you live in where that is not a hit and run and your insurance covers that damage?
