Even More Games of the Atari Lynx - Retrospective
I had to fix a few audio issues. Sorry about that.
This is a super user request by RozarSmaccoWho gave a very generous donation and wanted to see a part two. There were a lot of other people requesting it as well so here it is.
The original video I covered around 15 or so titles in this one I think I covered 17 or 18. I lost track.
Enjoy.

The Lynx was a mythical beast back in the day. Saw it all over the magazines but I’ve still never seen one in real life.

Every kid wanted one. I remember those days.
You've gone this far, there's no turning back now. Please continue the series, Patman!

I had a Lynx way back when. It was a great little machine. The only big problems were the massive battery requirement/drain and lack of support. I think it's underappreciated. I enjoy your channel. Thanks for the memories :)
A red baron pizza and a new Patman video is the perfect combination for a wonderful Saturday afternoon😎
Don't forget, Snoopy also makes a helluva sno-cone!

You have the perfect voice and delivery for this, Pat. It really carries the retro vibe all on its own and reminds me of how this kind of content was presented during my childhood. God bless you. I hope all is well!

I had an Atari Lynx, don't know why my parents brought it for Christmas, but very grateful. my Parents would have to steal my Gamepro magazines to know what it was (whenever the Lynx was released in a town of 200 in NZ. no video game ads on tv) So I got Viking Son and loved it. I wasn't allowed to buy anymore games (i wanted Klax) because I already had a game for it weird times.

Very cool. I can recall getting an NES for the first time in my parents not buying me any games because they were so expensive and I already had super Mario :-)
I'm totally down for a part 3 of this series! Keep up the great work!

Thanks a lot, I appreciate that
I'm really surprised Ms Pac Man didn't have a vertical mode here. Considering you only need the D-Pad, it would've been easy to play it that way.
The Lynx was an amazing machine, but I was a Sega Game Gear owner at the time, having gotten it dirt cheap so I ignored it, to my loss. The only thing that frustrates me about it (having busted out an emulator after your last video) is how zoomed in close every game is. It's particularly annoying on Double Dragon and Rygar is another good example of how it impacts what would otherwise be absolutely top tier conversions of arcade classics. A double-screen side by side Lynx would have been a dream machine, but sadly impractical for retail at that time as it would have cost a mint to produce. Great video, love seeing the classics brought back to the spotlight on this channel, Patman!
The graphics on Lemmings are amazing. I'll never forget the first time I loaded it up on the Lynx and saw the intro and the transitional zoom from the map screen to the level (Shame they weren't shown in the video). Compare it to the Game Gear version and it really shows how much more capable the Lynx was. (To anybody who has never held a Lynx - The build quality of the Lynx compared to the Game Gear is night and day. The unit is solid and weighty compared to the Game Gear.)

That's true, never really thought about it but the Game gear feels like a toy compared to the Atari Lynx

Hell yeah. Both Checkered Flag and Chip's Challenge are fenominal on thhe Lynx.
Part 3, please! I'll wait here.
Do a part 3. I've been enjoying these Lynx vids. Sure brings back memories as a kid playing my brothers best friends lynx when it was a new handheld and pretty much no one owned one (they all had gameboys)
Roadblasters was probably the best game. Rygar is amazing close to the arcade game. (I own a rygar pcb). The Nes way different. Better music... Pit fighter another pcb i own not bad. The game is crap but fun to play. As usual awesome vid/commentary. Please spoil us with More!
Great continuation video, Patman for the Atari Lynx! Thanks! I am glad I finally got to play Chip's Challenge the puzzle game.

Yes good sir a part 3 would be most welcomed!
Lemmings! I used to play it on the Lynx all the time.. I have I think 10 different versions of lemmings. Interestingly not the original Amiga version
Definitely an underrated console. Was very impressed by its graphics shown here. Never knew anyone who had one back in the day.
Loving the Lynx coverage Patman great episode as usual and of course we'd love a Lynx part 3. Thanks 🎉
Yeah Patman, for sure do another one of these vids, as many other great Lynx titles didn't get there chance to shine, one of which is a personal fav, Xybots.

Thanks for mentioning me (My_Fancy_Channel) on the screen of people asking for a second part. 🤗 Just a few days later I renamed my channel to what it is now. As always you put a lot of work into your videos. This one is no exception. Sure I am up for part 3. (No need to mention me this time 😉 )

That Bill And Ted Game should have been included in the Bill And Ted Collection that came out last year . I bought the physical version from Limited Run Games because I played the NES vision so much as a kid . But they only had the NES and Gameboy Bill And Ted games in the collection . And I was in the comments at the beginning of this video 😊 !!!!

Indeed, and I really don't mind paying $5 for the titles I want. They come with online score boards and a wealth of options. Darius and The Ninja Warriors are interesting, with those being across three screens you can replicate the fade and warping the separate screens would show over time.
Yes, please more!

I spent a lot of time with Baseball heroes, even though I didn't care about the sport IRL (still don't). It was so addictive, somehow.
Wow, Lemmings looks great on the lynx... so many actual lemmings compared to other handheld versions... might need to try and pick that up!
Warbirds was great, only ever played it linked with 2 systems. I only knew one other person with a lynx. Desert strike and paper boy were my favourite games on the system though.
Another great retrospective Patman!

i loved my Lynx. shame it was such a battery hog before the age of rechargeable batteries. I stopped using mine once the AC adapter slot broke. I can't remember all the games I had for it. APB, Chips Challenge, Hard Drivin, cyberball. Borrowed Batman Returns from someone, I don't remember who.

Hey Patman you need to read this comment, you'll be glade you did! Ha-Ha! As the story goes I use to play Chips Challenge a lot back in the day! i wonder if i still have it? Because i need it back in my life! Holy Ninja Flips Patman, I've never seen Ninja Gaiden jump like that before! If the flips didn't make you want to play the Atari Lynx then the 16bit sound of iron man sure will!?! The Road Warriors with Spiked Shoulder Pads for Smashin & Breakin in a video game that has nothing to do with wrestling?!?! How cool is that?!!
It's before 11 and I'm packing a bowl to smoke while watching your new video. I'm glad I did!

There were a few quite a few cancelled games they showed screenshots for back in the day. I remember seeing pics of Rolling Thunder, Road Riot 4WD, and Vindicators. Then there was some weird 3D UFO grid game and a 3/4 view RPG.
I would like to see a part 3... Not to be a snob, but you did get the title of the Road Warriors entrance theme sort of wrong... It is just "Iron Man" and it's by Black Sabbath...
