Me too and I wasn't even alive yet, I would kill someone to be able to experience that time period. Starting your adult life in 2020 SUCKS no one is gonna have nostalgia for like 2013 onwards. The world has taken a nosedive since the invention of smartphones and social media

I was in my 20s in the 90s. It's a hard meh from me. I had to work, commute using public transportation. College / grad school. It's fine. Friends died from heroin overdoses. It's just a decade. I liked the 70s more. I didn't do much then, I ate a lot of pudding 🍮 and ice Cream 🍨.

@@ivanaparicio3815 Yes, it's in the scene where Julie sneaks out while Mr. Miyagi is sleeping. She blasts this song and the singer's voice really captured my attention because it was so distinctive. I had to look up the song and I fell in love with the band. Cherry Alive is actually one of my favorite rock albums of the 90's.

Great clip, great song.Years ago in the comment section I got a good laugh from a poster who wrote "Clarissa explains it all LOUDLY".Sounds right to me. 👱‍♀🎶

As a teenager around 1999, I fell in love with Vitamin C. From "Smile" to "As Long As You're Loving Me" ("Last Nite" was never released here), I was pretty much obsessed with her. Many years later, thanks to the Internet, I discovered that she had been in Eve's Plum before she became Vitamin C. I eagerly tracked down their albums and I cannot accurately convey how much I loved every song upon first hearing them. Almost a decade after first discovering them, I still play both regularly. Colleen was a unique talent, and the rest of the band are incredible. I just wish they had had actual success with their records and that they'd stuck together. I'm hoping for a reunion one day, although that might seem like a long shot.

This band, this music was part of my high school years 🎶

I worked at a record store sometime in the 90s and this song was always playing. Glad I finally found it.

Got the album after hearing this in a movie. An awesome album.

She is one of the most wide-ranging women in the music industry, wow! 😃 I thought I'd see what this Eve's Plum band Colleen aka Vitamin C was part of. 😂 I found out that she was in Hairspray (1988) alongside Debbie Harry (of Blondie) and from her sound here, I get why. 😁🎶

@@tgab3301 she changed her name to Vitamin C because when she performed in other country's NO ONE knew who EVE PLUMB is,, she wanted a name that was known in all country's ..

I don't know why but I can hear this song a thousand times and I still love it. It definately has a 90's feel but I can absolutely see this as being a Screamer of the Week on WLIR/DRE in the 80's.

For over 20 years I couldn't find this because I didn't know who the artist was. All I remembered was she sounded like Debbie Harry and later went solo with a name that reminded me of oranges (Vitamin C). FINALLY!

I discovered this band in a movie called Higher Learning back in the 1990s it is the best discovery of all time and Higher Learning is a classic 90s gem

She was and still is so gorgeous!!

I found the single of this song in a thrift store not long ago. I was so shocked haha. It was like fate because I love Eve's Plum. But whoa what a rare find.

Well, she played Debbie Harry's daughter in the original Hairspray...

I stumbled upon this and had to laugh. Mike and Ben Kotch are the guitarist and drummer in the band. Colleen Fitzpatrick is the singer and is married to Mike. I know them all quite well as Mike and Ben are my stepbrothers. Nice to see Eve's Plum still has some fans out there. They are all doing well, they got a pretty raw deal from Sony. If you want to blame anyone for their lack of promotion, blame them, they suck.

John George, I'll be seeing them this summer when they are back East to visit, I'll pass on the well wishes and link them to this thread as well. I don't think they dwell on the past too much but they'll get a kick out of this. My stepbrothers are good people and Colleen has a wicked sense of humor. They are happy , doing well have families, etc.

epic 90's. this was def among the best of the best.

discovered this band on the new MTV Classic channel on 120 mins. they played this video. great song! and I thought I knew all of the more obscure bands from that era. guess I was wrong. golden age of music.

when people say they like the 90s for the "alternative rock" they still get pleasantly surprised when i play Eve's Plum a band some of them never heard of haha

Just ordered an autographed eve’s plum envy CD. It had autographs of all the names including Colleen, signed “Colleen”. Supposedly, it’s rare.

Everyone who came here knows what good music is...KROQ used to play this great song.

I remember when Colleen reinvented herself as "Vitamin C", saw the video for "Smile" and I instantly recognized her and her awesome voice. "Hey, waitaminute, that's....!" Trying to explain to my roommates who she was. They could have cared less, lol.

Woah! Never knew her voice had this range!

Colleen's dancing is the best ! obviously she has a back round in ballet & jazz !

I had heard a song on the radio and had no idea who it was. Turned out later to be Veruca Salt but one record store guy told me maybe Eve's Plum so I got the cassette. Really liked it. Not sure why they only put out one.

I was very obsessed with this group in 2019, and I dare say they had a lot of potential, but the video is quite strange but nice at the same time!! My favorite will always be Blue because it makes me laugh

This woman was one seriously underated singer. She also happens to be incredibly pretty, cute, AND sexy as hell. I loved her in the movie Dracula 2000. Although I was rather dissapointed when she went towards the hip hop genre by releasing that song Graduation under her alias Vitamin C. This song however is still a refreshing timeless gem.
