hej cheers for answering my question! Made it pretty clear for me; unless i build a mining/industry alt, there is no benefit to having a POS. Maybe a trade alt that buys ores to reprocess, but i dont know if i would be willing to do that solo.

Does a Large Ship Assembly Array allow me to build also smaller ships (e.g. small or medium) or do I need a separate array for each size class?

if you are just reprossing stuff in a high pos your pos can be offline until you want to use saving alot of fuel because people have to war dec you to kill it :)

Can you compare pos and arthanor between themselfs for moon mining in HS, LS, null and WH. Like a balance statement. And maybe some comparison like 10h/week need to make xx mil isk hour. 20h/week need to make x mil isk hour.

Wolf is that a large tower or medium? Do you have a video of setting this all up? I want the same set up can you list it all ?

back in the day when i had the T2 hammerhead BPO it was definitely worth having my own POS in hi sec. i was outputting 3000 drone every 30 days back then that was 3 billion it also helped with the other 6 T2 PBO's but the HH2 were the real money maker

I never knew you could split items.

Basically for a truly solo player like me a POS isn't worth it, the time and expense for one person is just too prohibitive i think..if you're in a group it's worth it even a smaller group but not solo

Can you moon mine from a POS in modern EVE? Is it worth it in 2020? I want my own little station and this might be what I need for now to get started.

+roland rayar I did it before on a mostly indy character before skill-draining him into a PI tycoon. Basically the only offset you need is the cost of fuel (and/or charters). As long as you can find a way to make a profit past the line of fuel you will do well in a POS. However, if you can find some boring/dull sections of .4 space and moon-mine. Even the shit reactions will net you millions without doing anything. Then you can fund another POS using the profits from that POS. Still, I highly recommend going into PI to assist with POS endeavors, it's just good passive ISK, especially now with the release of Citadel. Just make any POS fuel component and you'll have stable ingame income.

+Jan Šinkovec there used to be limited slots in a station, but that has been changed. The difference now is that in the right system the cost can be much lower due to the research index of the system being lower.

delonewolf damn ive been researching for a while from a station and i never even looked at my costs. I do have pretty good margins tho so i dont imagine it would make a difference. Do need to look into it though. Thanks

a POS is a player owned starbase, it's the tower you can install near a moon that works as a base of operations.

I'm sorry, I'm not so impressed with the answer: "That depends" You should mine your own pos fuel and research t2 blueprints and have maximal PI for all 3 characters on your account plus r&d research agents maxed for all three too. Then it will pay for itself. You can reprocess the ice nearby where you have ok standing. Gradually you can increase the t2object sizes from ammo to drones to frigates etc. while you become more and more independent of resources

With one account it was possible for me to manufacture pos labs with materials I made from PI If you can be on a permanent 24 hr alert (wardec) then you can offline your pos structures and save fuel until you need to either defend the pos or do more research (ME, BPC or invention)
