Thank you man, I just downloaded it last night. I was a bit overwhelmed, and came into it unfortunately in a very negative/cautious light after watching videos about CODE and stuff. But I think I will stick with it, because just from the fraction I have experienced, it is a beautiful game. Subbed

2 points: I am an alpha, and my main source of ISK is high-sec PvE. Using just a 20m fit, I can bag up to 150m per site if I get lucky - 3 a day usually gives me one every 2 days at least. I have tried WH data and relic sites, normally 5m ISK per site on average. Would seriously recommend high sec ratting (but only use the sites you scan down, other have rubbish loot). 2nd point: If you are not willing to spend money on the game feel free to save up a few billion isk, therefore you will be able to keep your omega going without paying. Also, as a side note, I do NOT recommend solo PvP in alpha as the tech II variants of many modules such as ABs and armour & shield resistance modules, and even tech II GUNS are not available for alphas, giving you a significant disadvantage. Basically, grind through alpha and then you can get omega for free, also having good base skills and experience before entering it. wohoo for alphas! :D

You have an Astero link listed. Have they changed it so that Alpha's can access these?

Thanks for the videos on this channel, I'm just jumping in and this game is an ocean compared to the lakes of other MMOs I've played. It's overwhelming and exciting all at once! I like this exploration idea to get my career started since I mainly play solo and at weird hours, and wanted to ask if there's a specific race you'd recommend to help out. I've read that race doesn't matter that much if I'm planning to eventually be an Omega clone or sub account, but the wiki says the Astero needs Gallente and Amarr Freighter skills, so I figured I'd be one of those to get a jump start on the training while I'm an Alpha clone? Does it matter which one I choose? Thanks for any help you can offer, I'm watching all your vids to prepare myself for this incredible journey I've started.

Pick Gallente. I am going to do an optimal Alpha Clone training / isk making guide soon, but basically you go Gallente because you need it for the Astero later when you do eventually sub, and all races except Amarr get the shield skills straight away, such as the ones required for the Medium Shield Extender you see in the video. Glad you enjoy the content!

Go for Gallente or Caldari, the others aren't that good. In my opinion, Gallente is slightly better than Caldari but that depends on taste

Alpha can't use mining drones :( the skill "Mining Drone Operation" is only for omega

In regards to your Alpha Clone suggested career path (going from a Venture to a Probe to an Imicus, etc.), aren't Alpha Clones limited to only flying ships from their chosen race?

I picked an Astero as the 3rd vessel, its a Sisters of Eve ship that requires an Omega clone status.

rigth and can't use 200mm autocannon on alpha clone

Reinstalled after 5ish years, found out I could do shit all and uninstalled again. When they said FTP I thought it would be like most other ftp games. Microtransactions, skins, boosters etc. But what it really is, free to play but if you're a old char resubbing then most of your crap is locked behind a paywall. Good for new players wanting to try it out without forking over for 30 days time, bad for old players thinking of getting back into it.
