Evans Tuning Announcement

There are some changes coming here at Evans Tuning over the course of the next few weeks. We put together this video to make you aware of these changes in advance to allow you to properly prepare for your tuning needs.
The first, and probably the most pressing issue, is that we will only be scheduling tuning appointments in the manner we always have through October 31st, 2017. This means, any system listed as a system that we tune on our website will be able to be tuned through that date. After that date, we will be offering tuning on limited cars and tuning systems. We cannot comment at this time on the particular systems and vehicles that will continue to be supported following October 31st. As soon as we have a definitive list of systems and vehicles that we will continue to support, we will provide that information to you. In the meantime, if you are looking to guarantee that you can have Jeff Evans tune your car, you need to schedule an appointment prior to the end of October. Please call or email as soon as possible to schedule an appointment as we expect the spots to fill up very quickly. As a result of the changes we have taking place at Evans Tuning, we currently have limited phone hours Monday-Friday 1pm-5pm. Because of the limited phone hours, sending an email is suggested for a faster response. You can simply email appointments@evans-tuning.com to request an appointment or to find out available tuning dates. Rest assured, if you have your car tuned prior to October 31st and you experience any issues following that date with the vehicle, we will still offer the same post-tuning support that our clients have come to know and trust.
The second part of this announcement is in regards to what happens after October 31st. Over the years, we’ve received hundreds of requests from enthusiasts and shop owners looking to learn how to tune. Given this, and the fact that we will no longer be supporting all tuning systems beyond October 31st, we have decided to transition into a comprehensive tuning school to teach enthusiasts and shop owners how to tune cars both properly and professionally. We will be taking my 15 years of professional EFI tuning experience and delivering it to you. We will be covering everything from the basics to super advanced tuning concepts, strategies, and tricks so that you can tune your own vehicle or your friends’ vehicles with confidence. We will be releasing details on the tuning school, the topics to be covered, and how to enroll in the next few weeks. We are very excited to not only be able to continue to provide relatively local clients, but also those who live too far away or even internationally, with solutions for tuning their vehicles.
We will be releasing a follow-up video within the next few weeks that will discuss in more detail both of these topics. We respectfully ask that you please do not call, email, or send messages to us simply to ask why this decision was made. Stay tuned for more details and be sure to share with your friends so that they can make the proper arrangements for tuning their vehicle.

Please note: The tuning school will have a solution for learning for everyone. This means, whether you are within driving distance of our location or if you live internationally, everyone will have access to the same comprehensive content.

This is awesome !! For a while i always wondered how most people got guided/ taught how to tune . i always assumed it was mentor/shop boy or maybe some rare opportunities from specific tuning manufactures too teach them. Hopefully i can one day enroll into your school !!

Jeff I live in ohio and I'm highly considering tuning school. It's been a dream of mine. I looked into hp academy and I have a car related job but it's not what I'd love to do. I can't wait to hear about what's happening I'm so excited right now

We'll be covering all aspects of tuning -- everything from what certain sensors are and why they are important to how to tune your car at the track and EVERYTHING in between.

Evans Tuning Thanks, getting my car dynoed soon. The tuners lock their maps, is this quite common in the industry. I notice in your videos you have to start from scratch as the previous shop has locked the map up. Thanks

I find it's common when people have something to hide. I've never locked a file on any car I've tuned. Whether the previous shop locks a file or not, I'd still start from scratch because most times they files aren't great anyway.

My buddy had his car tuned by you,very impressed with your work, and another friend would like you to tune his Mugen Si.He has a FP, and intake, exhaust.Do you do e tunes?How much do you charge for that service?

Yes. Sooner, rather than later, we expect to give full details on the school. There will be options for online and in-person courses.

Ugh! I just sent him an email this AM asking about a tune. I finally find someone that seems to be solid and intelligent without the attitude and he decides to change the business model!! UGH!! I may just go back to older muscle cars, finding a good tuner is like trying to find hens teeth.

We sent a reply to your email last night. We can absolutely get you squared away before the end of October. Beyond that, if your vehicle is one that will no longer be supported, our school will teach you everything you need to know to make any tweaks to it in the future.
