Agree with both of you here. Gets me every time as a grown man in my 40's. It's just unreal how perfect it is. We don't get music like this anymore.

Amy Lee is a classically trained pianist. Even though they didn't show it, she was the one playing the piano for this video..

I love the restraint in her voice. It always feels like she is controlling and holding it back even when she lets it go I always feel she keeps a little back for herself. It is very intoxicating to hear someone with that kind of restraint and control. Amy Lee has so many songs out there but I always wish she had more.

Jeff S if you read/watch some of her interviews that seems to be an accurate assessment. Her songwriting is, typically, very personal but somehow still reserved as if she’s always a bit unsure or uncomfortable putting this all out there.

You’re not alone. She’s one of the best singers in the world and for some reason, so many people don’t know her name.

Over the last couple of years, I had the absolute joy of seeing them twice with an orchestra. This song, with a full orchestra playing is.....beyond words.

Amy has the voice of an angel and gives me goosebumps. What a talented young woman. He sister passed away when she was 3 and i believe Amy was 6. This is a song about her.

Amy Lee is her name! She has magic in her voice!

She used to ask me why I never asked her to marry again after I caught her cheating and stealing from me, it was because the trust was gone and I was alone in the relationship so often, being to only one who was in love. This song, Bonnie Raitt's "I can't make you love me" , Brooks & Dunn, "You're Gonna Miss me when I'm Gone" and Tom Petty, "You Got Lucky(When I Found You)" used to make me cry and make her so angry when I sung along. I hope you found some peace and can heal your heart.

That line "...though you're still with me, I've been alone all along" kills me every time. Especially with this song being out around when I lost my papa to cancer & I never resonated with a lyric more than having to go on without him around. The person I was closest to in my family being lost to cancer at 12 put me in a deep depression. I still struggle with depression and any milestone has been very bittersweet with him not being there.

Amy Lee = voice of a goddess. Perfect pitch and the emotion is off the charts.

Her producer wrote this song about a loss in his family. Amy lost her sister when she was a kid. So the song just fit. Amy still hurts ovwr her sisters death.

A lot of her songs come from life experience or relationships. I can't believe that voice comes out of that five foot three little lady. Just Beautiful. Definitely my favorite female vocalist.

Amy's voice is emotion incarnate. Happy, sad, angry, or in Love, Amy makes it so real that the emotion beats in *your* heart.

The first time I heard this song was after my youngest brother committed suicide in 2010. A friend of his made a video collage of him with this as the background music and posted it on KZread. I cried like a baby. I still have to wipe away the tears every time I hear it.

Same! My best friend and I first heard them on the radio in 6th grade, fell in love with the songs and proceeded to listen to the "Fallen" album on repeat. To the point we both sunk into a depression and had to take a loooong break from indulging in the music again. Recently I popped in that beloved CD during a road trip and could still sing along to all the songs. I texted her and said "Dude, guess what I was listening to." She had, coincidentally, just finished hearing one of the songs. Lots of memories of our younger dorky, goofball, and angsty, teen years.
