This orchestral progression that grows as the song comes is just overwhelming to experience. I feel like Amy Lee at the stage still enjoys the gloomy atmosphere of Evenescence as she delievers her songs open hearted and passionately, even if her family life is lighter now. Her essence keeps the same. She's really unique.

Probably just as well there is a little talent there. Would have been a bit cheesy with that orchestra behind you otherwise.

Puts her heart and soul into every note.

You don’t realise how much a singer gives out until you see their live performances 🤯 🖤

The best rock singer.

She sounds exactly like the studio version. And when they do typical rock shows videos never do her voice justice she sounds perfect in person. Saw them in 2015 and they are amazing.

I never understood it either. Whenever I go to a concert I prefer a performance and Amy appears to try to get the audience involved whenever she's doing a rock show.

@@mikestempo9779 she has had many performances that could be considered objectively bad, but that isn't because she can't sing, the reality is more complicated than that. Her songs are brutally hard and are not meant to be sung live one after another. I don't know any other female popular singer that has as demanding song lists as Amy. She has improved a lot over the years and she manages to at least not go off key anymore, although she still strains every now and then in rock concerts. I don't know how she managed to sound so flawless in Synthesis. Probably because she wasn't moving around so much and she didn't push as much on the high notes.

I have to say I misjudged her singing live, because in the past when she was singing, she was also dancing around so she sounded out of breath, but to hear her sing live while standing at the microphone, I think she sounds the same as she does on her albums. 🙂👍

If you ever try to sing even one of her songs, you'll realise how difficult they are... A whole concert must be challenging as hell even without moving around. The dancing and headbanging during concerts makes it impossible for her to sing perfectly. She's an awesome singer no matter what.

@@isadoluso that's true, i notice while she dances and move around on the stage, it's impossible to do it, but she does and it makes it slightly different than the recorded song. I've been singing since i was kid, so i know one thing or two about it, it's hard to sing while walking for example, let alone dancing lol.
