It would be better (in my opinion) re-recorded. Amy’s vocals aren’t up to her usual standard on this.

I personally think that the Origin Album is the best Evanescence album ever, It's kinda creep ,deep,dark, however at the same time it is passionate

This song is awesome, we as adults see a lot of things as they are, no filters, those changing our view on the world forever, as opposed to being kids and think that the world is beautiful and innocent, and strangers can't hurt you... you can unsee what u see as adult, even though we ache to go back to being innocent.

This song is so true... Especially with the lyric, "where has my heart gone? An uneven trade for the real world." Meaning that her childhood has been taken from her, which, from any point of view, is always upsetting.

Im turning 30 this week, and this song perfectly describes how I feel in this wide world around me. no one can touch my heart with lyrics like amy lee does. simply beautiful

36 here. Origin album FTW. I listen to it all the time.

Origin is something else. It has a different kind of aura, some magic.

This must be one of my favorites songs of Evanescence. It's been almost 15 years since I first listened to it and stills makes me feel the same

This song speaks to me, to my soul. I really want to go back to believing in everything and knowing nothing at all.

Early Evanescence was truly wonderful as highlighted beautifully by this track. It's a real shame that Ben and Amy couldn't work out their differences. Evanescence continued after his departure but some of the magic was lost.

Yes and no. While together they made amazing music and the band was as the BEST it could be, separated Amy did better music because at least she evolved and experienced with differents sounds. Ben on the other hand looked for a Amy Lee look alike(voice and all)and while lyrics were cool, the sound was more of the same: Beautiful/cool but unremarckable (Not an English speaker, sorry for all the typos)

2023 and Im still waiting for this on Spotify

Some of what i feel from listening to old Evanescence songs is a feeling i get from no other band. Just amazing

The more i listen to Origin, the more i think its my favorite Evanescence recording. Just amazing

I always get chills from listening to her songs.

This was the first Evanescence song I ever heard. I heard it in 2008 when I was 6 years old. I use to take the lyrics so literally as a kid, but now that I'm older I've come to realize what this song is actually about and this song hits so much harder now that I know the meaning. I feel these lyrics so deeply, and have frequently had thoughts that were very similar to the lyrics. I feel that this song is criminally underrated. I love every song by Evanescence, but I think this one will always be the best in my opinion. I really wish this had the publicity that Bring Me To Life gets.

This one and understanding have a vague silent hill feeling all over them. I love it!
