You werent old enough to understand these things when the song came out. You heard it on the radio or at a Parents house probobly. You thought nothing of it. Yes you knew the song but it was a faint memory. The time goes on and now youre here much later. Its become too much. You dont know who you are anymore. It seems nobody else seems to get it. And anything that plays on the radio now just doesnt reflect anything you can understand or relate to. You feel different. Fate lays the reminder of that faint memory in front of you so suddenly. You come back to see that now you understand what it was the words meant when you couldnt years ago when it all seemed so okay. The song takes you by the hand back to that memory making it as vivid as ever. You relive a small portion of that security you had in youth. You relish in the joy that someone some time understood exactly what it was you felt.. The few words of all the words that could be used to perfectly define the thoughts you tucked away for so long, dreading that you were the only one that had them. You there reading this, you're safe here. We all understand. I understand. Keep those memories close. You'll find yourself again. It seems so foggy right now but it will end and you'll be saved. I used to be the same way. I thought old music was best and my favorite by far was 80's music. Then my mind changed when I listened to Mac Miller, Kanye West, and Kid Cudi. I've never liked rap music but I like them. My other favorites: Lil Peep, Joji, Frank Ocean - Blonde, Future - I Never Liked You. And 2 songs by ASAP Rocky: L$D, Kids Turned Out Fine

I personally still love the rap from the 80s, RunDMC, Fat Boys, Beastie Boys and any 80s music, after that, it is a few artists here and there or just one off songs by them, but my mind hasn't changed to say today's music appeals to me, nah. Anyway, as subjective as it is, each one has a taste and that is why there are so many genres of music and artists.

I was born in 2001 but I remember hearing a lot of Linkin Park and Tool and KoRn and Eminem and Pearl Jam and 3 days Grace and Disturbed and System Of A Down (who happens to be my favorite band ever) and all that stuff, my dad was huge into rock and metal and classic rap, while my mom listened to a lot of Beatles, Elvis, Pink Floyd, Def Lappard, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Heart, and The Runaways so needless to say my musical upbringing was definitely a rollercoaster, (I'm also a Juggalo btw lol WHOOP WHOOP!!!)

How did he react?

Growing up in the 70’s, my favorite music was the 70s songs. As I grew older, I began appreciating 80’s music and it became my favorite. Now, my horizons have expanded to all decades after that time period. Great voices and great tunes are changing my views and this is one of them. Amy has a distinct and beautiful voice.

I stayed strong BC after so long of trying to go to anything else but god they all failed me so I held on to god as the reason let me skip to now and say I started off faithless now I'm so faithful in god I started off worried for my future now I know its something gods gonna handle I'm not feeling depressed anymore the whole year of 2022 was hard but with god I made it threw! Now I learned so much and love my relationship with god I know he loves and cares for me AND HE LOVES AND CARES FOR YOU TOO! I usually dont listen to this genre of music, but i know a good song when i hear one. This album was the one that won the best debut album in 2003 in front of 50 cent's get rich or die tryin.. this voice of amy is a once in a million, she's the reason i keep coming back to this song.
