I've been looking in the mirror for so long. That I've come to believe my soul's on the other side. All the little pieces falling, shatter. Shards of me, Too sharp to put back together. Too small to matter, But big enough to cut me into so many little pieces. If I try to touch her, And I bleed, I bleed, And I breathe, I breathe no more. Take a breath and I try to draw from my spirits well. Yet again you refuse to drink like a stubborn child. Lie to me, Convince me that I've been sick forever. And all of this, Will make sense when I get better. But I know the difference, Between myself and my reflection. I just can't help but to wonder, Which of us do you love. So I bleed, I bleed, And I breathe, I breathe no... Bleed, I bleed, And I breathe, I breathe, I breathe- I breathe no more.

This takes me back to the days when internet isn’t much of a thing yet, and my source of music were CD’s and live concert were DVD’s. I will watch this concert at night until I fall asleep in comfort of this band and their beautiful songs. I was a young teen back then, and these are the kind of music that I appreciate and helped me cope in life as a naive little girl who didn’t know a thing about the real world and herself yet. I am an introvert but I also didn’t trust anyone back then, so I had this little world on my own, and Evanescence was like a good friend of mine, they made me feel less lonely. Now that I’m an adult, I’m so proud of my younger self that she made it through, and that these are the music she listens to. I also love how music takes us back to a certain time of our lives that we had almost forgotten. Did I share too much? Haha just my 3am thoughts. If you’re reading this in 2021, listening to this song, then I am also proud of you. You rock 🤘🏻

Thank you for saying this! I'm sorry for reading this only now, in November 2022! But I totally agree with you. I felt the same when I was a teenage boy because music always reminds me of things that were so simple back then. It's as if you took the words straight out of my mouth, these are literally my thoughts and what I was feeling and going through at that time as well, and what i feel and remember by listening to the music and watching the videos takes me back to what feels like another lifetime. Evanescence meant so much to me and still does, back then I knew nothing, and they helped me get through it all. You rock too, btw 🖤

This isn't sharing too much. This is pretty damn close to what a lot of us felt back then. And yes, listening to it now in Nov 2023 takes me right back and I'm so grateful that the internet had its boom and we can relive those moments. Thanks for saying all that you did. You're not alone in feeling any of those feelings :). Hope you see this so you know I'm proud of you too :)
Who needs autotune and electronic instruments when you have talent like that
No words to describe. Her voice is pure ethereal. I'm forever Evanescence.
The intimacy behind this song is amazing. All these years later I can listen to it and it makes me feel the same as it did back then. Truly beautiful!
Her and Linkin Park saved me from depression
Evanescence is not a simple band, it's living poetry.
the live version makes me cry even more
love this song so much. it reminds me of time then I was younger and spring fresh wind makes me feel alive and this song were in my earphones , no cigarette no drink or drugs, only big reason to be alive

Her voice is amazing
Essa versão live piano e violão, gente!!!!! Que coisa mais perfeita... Amo essa música
Amy lee perfection her voice is WOW
One of the best performances I ever seen in my life!!
"Bleed. I bleed. And I breathe. I breathe. I breathe. I breathe, no more."
Лучшее исполнение этой песни) По мне, так это даже лучше чем студийка...
This woman brings tears to my eyes whenever I hear this version of the song. Nothing beats this live performance. Her absolute best in my opinion. Literally clearing the water from my eyes

So soothing and sad...:_( It's.....so beautiful
My 3 year old son falls into sleep easily when i sing this beautiful song to him.
A lot of hidden gems that didn't make it in the Fallen album. This is one of them. John LeCompt's guitar playing is amazing
@carpediemearth
Жыл бұрын
John Lecompt is a mediocre guitarist at best, and he has nothing to do with this song. Amy wrote this song before Fallen.
i love her so much.....She is the best female artist ever
Can Amy Lee be any more perfect? N O W A Y

I dunno what you said, but you're listening to Evanescence, so you are awesome.
One of the most beautiful and emotional songs I've ever heard in my whole life. Absolutely brilliant. I can't even explain how much I love it.
Anywhere But Home has to be one of the best live albums of the 2000s. It's definitely one of the CDs I play the most

Christopher Shannon I'm sorry for your loss and I'm glad that Evanescence has found the words that can express such pain because that's the most difficult thing to do in my opinion 💝

Daиieleoиel no fuck people like you. Who bitch about everything, if someone want to put their phone out and record it then let them, does it affect you ? No People paid tons of money to see their favorite artists probably for the first time and you want to shame them because they want to record that memory on their phone to remember it forever? Get lost.
Saudade de quando a voz dela transmitia essa atmosfera melancólica ... 🖤
Apesar de sempre gostar dessa música, eu nunca estive tão preparado para absorver essa letra incrível.

I've been looking in the mirror for so long That I've come to believe my soul's on the other side All the little pieces falling, shatter Shards of me, too sharp to put back together Too small to matter But big enough to cut me into so many little pieces If I try to touch her And I bleed, I bleed And I breathe, I breathe no more Take a breath and I try to draw from my spirit's well Yet again you refuse to drink like a stubborn child Lie to me, convince me that I've been sick forever And all of this will make sense when I get better But I know the difference between myself and my reflection I just can't help but to wonder Which of us do you love So I bleed, I bleed And I breathe, I breathe no Bleed, I bleed And I breathe, I breathe I breathe, I breathe no more
I am dedicated this song to all the veterans who have lost their lives fighting for our country. Thank You guys for your services and may you all continue to Rest In Peace.
And all of this... Will make sense when I get better... But I know the difference... Between myself and my reflection... I just can't help but to wonder... Which of us do you love??? =/ So... I Bleed... =/
She's so beautiful her voice sounds like the greatest thing my ears have ever listened to

years go by, and I still love this song, and remember the calm it gives me when im sad.
The lord himself is within those vocals. May this get more recognizable then it is. I’ve loved her for years and never heard this song. But with great thoughts I’m hearing this now. Through depression this is hands down saving me.
I come back to this regularly. She just speaks to me, she's so ethereal ✨️
