Evaluating Stress and Yielding in Metal Plasticity Using Ansys Mechanical - Lesson 2

Ғылым және технология

Plasticity is an important behavior that needs to be simulated to capture the correct physical response in various engineering applications. This video discusses how to evaluate and interpret plasticity results. It also demonstrates how to obtain and validate a stress-strain curve when yielding has occurred, how to fix the apparent mismatch that may arise when comparing with material data and provides tips and tricks to obtain useful plasticity results.

Great video! However, a composite material exhibit different plasticity behavior in a different direction due to orthotrophy. Which direction's plasticity data can we use for composite materials. Thank you
