Eva was my customer in NYC for a few years. She was sophisticated, just beautiful, polite, charming and had the best sense of humor. I adored working with her.

Zsa Zsa was the cutest, and sexiest, they look so much alike though. There was something so intriguing about the Gabor sisters to me.

I can't imagine a more beautiful person--inside and out. So natural, so unpretentious, sweet, down to earth and good--natured! Just sheer perfection in her comedic acting in Green Acres! What a joy this special woman still brings to the world in TV reruns!

I loved Eva. I really admire her. Smart and funny. Pretty and modest. Very classy.

Before Paris Hilton, and before the Kardashians, there were the Gabor sisters. God I miss class and elegance.

i adore Eva so much. such a beautiful, elegant, wonderful woman. also, her voice/accent is so gorgeous to listen to. my heart is so full for her.

Eva was so pretty, we miss her.

She is not at all like her sister Zsa Zsa. Far less pretentious, very friendly and down to earth. Loved her in Green Acres. Loved how Joan is trying to bait Eva and she's not biting.

Oh my god she has astounding voice, I love it. And she still looks good even at that time.

I met her in Kansas City, Missouri many years ago in 1968, when she opened an Eva Gabor Wig's store and what an incredibly beautiful woman she was then, just as she is here, 22 years later! RIP, Eva.♥️😢

just watched this interview and forgot how gracious and "down-to-earth" she was.

You're right Monica. Eva was very down-to-earth and to me, the best likeable Gabor sister. Eva was never kicked off an airplane, kicked out of a hotel for not paying the bill, walked out during a performance, or slapped a cop like Zsa Zsa.

I loved the sisters voices and accents, just so sophisticated.

with Ava and Zsa Zsa their talent or comedy was not why they were famous. It was due to their beauty and over the top personalities, but their command of the room and star power (elusive to most) were most important to their success

Eva was a true dahling; she is dearly missed :(

She was the classiest of the sisters and the best actress. Eva was also the most caring about other people. A lot of people do not know this, but when she was married to Dick Brown, they lived in a two-bedroom, one-bathroom house, because as Eva put it "Dick and my stepdaughters is what I really need."

What's great about this interview is that you get to see Eva being smart, strong, and warm - not to mention glamorous and beautiful. Here "Lisa Douglas" is one of the great sit-com creations of the 1960's - right up there with Lucy Carmichael, Lucy Carter, Lilly Munster, Granny, Aunt Bee, Endora, and Vivian Bagley.

Every age has it's joy. I hear ya, Eva. She's so nice and was a really great actress.

Eva Gabor was 71-years-old when this was taped. She sadly passed away after a fall at her vacation home in Mexico in 1995.

And the sad thing is this: Merv Griffin wasn't even at her bedside when she was in the hospital dying from pneumonia. He was out in the Atlantic in his private boat when she died, and he regretted not being there with her during her final moments. But at least he went to the funeral and paid his last respects to her.

My parents were Hungarian we watched the show and were very proud if Eva even if the Hungarian sayings were made up in school in NYC they sent me to speach class I said I dont talk likr that lady on Green Acres they said yes you do. i was mortified great show loved it always

They are Not Twins. they look a lot alike, but I think Eva is Prettier than Zsa Zsa

eva was more diplomatic and polite but zsa zsa was sexier and funnier in my opinion

She just reminds me of Dutches And miss Bianca so much cause i will always remember her for her disney voices

Wow... she was right about her English error and Joan, a native English speaker, didn't even catch it! Good job, Eva. But then, she always spoke English better than her sisters did.

My cousins friend met Zsa Zsa in a restaurant in New York about 30 years ago. And he thought it was Eva and he went up to her and was all "Eva! I loved you in Green Acres I use to watch that show every day" and then she was like "Not Eva, Zsa Zsa". When he apologized to her, he said that she was very sweet and polite and said "It's alright darling" in that beautiful Hungarian accent.

I really hope I age like Eva. I mean, I obviously won’t be as pretty, but I admire her idea of staying youthful and fit regardless of age. To not have a mid life crisis because it doesn’t matter if you’re 40, you can’t be 20 by making love to a 20 year old, you have to be young by embracing yourself.

Eva Gabor became more beautiful older. She always dressed beautifully and classy. I think she was a nice person too, all the cast of "Green Acres" were, what made them rememberable and special.

The press said that Eva was 74 when she died. Now I hear that she was 76. No matter how old she was, she still had a lot of energy and vigor for her age. She could have lived another 10, 15, or even 20 years. But to me, it was such a shocker! I still can't describe how I felt the day after she died, but I wasn't happy or joyous. Thirty years of my life was gone in that one day. But she's here today in spirit, and she's in a much better place. To me, EVA GABOR STILL LIVES!

Now Joan Rivers has joined Eva Gabor in the afterlife; along with Merv Griffin, Lucille Ball, Bob Hope, and all of the other great entertainers who have since left this world.

Wow!!!...I never realized what a gem Eva was...brains, class and a great sense of humor.

The Gabors were iconic for their era. A shame people die.

The lovely and gracious Eva Gabor was 71-years-old when this was taped. She sadly died in 1995 after getting food poisoning at her vacation home in Mexico. She was flown home but did not recover while at Cedars Sinai hospitol. She is still missed by her old Hollywood friends.

Sadly, Merv Griffin wasn't at her bedside. He was in Atlantic City on his private boat when she died. And he regretted not being there with her during those final days and hours. In fact, there was this headline in the Globe that read MERV GRIFFIN ABANDONED EVA GABOR IN FINAL HOURS! But he did go the funeral to pay his respects to Eva.

The date stamp says this aired June 25th, but the show they are talking about aired May 18th, so I think the date stamp is wrong. It's definitely 1990 though.

Eva was a pleasant and witty one.

So awkward how Joan keeps goingon about Merv and her dating then again Eva seemed to be bearding for him as well as being his best friend so she must have expected those sorts of questions. Still awk though

We don't know whether or not Merv Griffin was gay and if Eva was his beard. If he was, he probably took those gay rumors with him to his grave. He never talked about his personal life. He kept his private life private. We also never heard any reaction from Eva about those two lawsuits against him as him. But she still stuck by him.

I'm here cos I've been watching Green Acres!!

This may sound crazy, but I look at pictures of both Eva and Merv whenever I listen to music; especially the music of the 60's. In fact, I listen to tapes of oldies radio shows that I taped during the period that they were dating (the 80's and the early 90's). I look at their pictures and jam to the music at the same; just like I did back then. It makes me feel good all over!

There were rumors going around that Eva was going to marry Merv Griffin. In fact, her bigmouth sister Zsa Zsa told the press that they were going to get married. Unfortunately, it never happened. Eva never got married again after her fifth marriage to Frank Jameson broke up. And for religious reasons, Merv Griffin never got married again after his divorce from his only wife Julann. Eva didn't want to get married again because she didn't want to get hurt anymore. And I don't blame her one bit. Even though she and Merv Griffin went out together, she enjoyed spending the last twelve years of her life all by herself. Regardless of whether or not Merv Griffin was gay, and that Eva was his beard, he probably took those rumors with him to the grave. Merv never talked about his personal life. He kept his private life private. We never heard Eva's reaction to Merv being sued by his former bodyguard and Deney Terrio; fueling the rumors that Merv was gay, and that Eva was his beard. But she still stayed with him regardless.

Unfortunately, Eva and Merv never got married. She never got married again after her fifth and final marriage had broken up. She didn't want to get hurt anymore, and I don't blame her one bit. After all, she had two unfaithful husbands. She was also suicidally depressed after her fifth and final marriage broke up. And Merv Griffin helped her get through it. She had her heart broken enough. And for religious reasons, Merv Griffin never got married again after his divorce from his only wife Julann; the mother of rumors going around. Eva's big mouth sister Zsa Zsa even told the press that Eva and Merv were going to get married. It was during the period when he fought Donald Trump for control of Resorts. I wish that Eva and Merv had gotten married. Merv would have been an excellent husband to Eva. If they did, he would have been her 6th husband. But unfortunately, Eva spent the last 12 years of her life living alone, and she enjoyed it.

Rivers and pretty, not two words you expect to hear together.

The three Gabor sisters were married 20 times total. Two of the 20 were annullments. Those were the days when you married before sex...or during. Some people nowadays could have been married a couple of hundred times. RIP Eva.

Jack Wood: In Hungarian her name is pronunced: ÉVA , it's very similar to English. The first "É" is a little different. :-)

All these years I thought Zsa Zsa Gabor stared in green acres...
