I'm 79 and have listened to hundreds of versions of this song. No other performance of this song has ever effected me like this one. I still listen to it often and will forever be thankful to Eva Cassidy for what she has done. I'm so glad you accepted the request to react to this performance.

This was an amazing performance, she almost made me cry, it was outstanding

Sarge, one of the greatest songs I have ever heard in my life. Perhaps the greatest! And can she handle the guitar! Crazy to say this but I prefer this version to Judy Garland's version! Sarge, I have a bonus for you to listen to. The famous song, 'Fields of Gold', written by Paul McCartney and Sting, has a video I believe you will enjoy VERY, VERY MUCH. Two singers have video's of singing the song and they are Eva Cassidy and someone else you have gotten to know very recently, Angelina Jordan. Someone put them together in a mashup and you will hear both of them sometimes singing at the same time in the video. Rarely is Angelina joined by another artist in fairness to the other artist but putting Eva and Angelina together is something special. Sarge, I'm not into all this technical stuff so I hope you can work on this and play it for us. It's special.

Sarge, thank you for doing this so soon. I told you that it is considered by many to be one of the greatest versions of this song ever recorded, and I think you will agree. One of the things that I didn't mention is that she passed away approximately 10 months after this was recorded. She did not know during this performance of her coming fate. Yet, based on her expressions and her tone and the gaze in her eyes, You would swear that she did know. It is haunting and beautiful.

That was such a beautiful rendition of this song. So sad that she is no longer with us. She died at only 33 years of age. I also love the version by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole. Sadly he also died young at 38 years of age. At least we have their music left as a legacy.

She is my second favorite female singer from KZread, aside from Angelina Jordan. Fun fact is, this is the song played in the background in Angelina's AGT audition video started from judges' comments throughout golden buzzer moments. I second to RobertDeMartin's recommendation of 'Fields of Gold' as your next Eva's reaction. Besides the mashup, may I suggest you to do another reaction which is a video from Gala of 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, Michelle Kwan, figure skater, perform with Eva's Field of Gold? Actually, AGT-Champions, which is where Angelina opened with Bohemian Rhapsody, doesn't have auditions. The contestants are invited to compete based on the fact that they are winners from other "Got Talent" shows (Norway's Got Talent, in Angelina's case). They don't audition for a spot.
