The next song is about repeatedly seeing, repeatedly thinking of, repeatedly feeling for, repeatedly looking back the beautiful moments with Eva Braun. All the elements from both the songs shape the nature of the video.

Who really knew her? You'll never get the story straight now. Very much a sadness to the whole thing.

Hitler was incapable of loving anyone but was meant to be very polite to people maybe she just felt that and her sadness for him made her loyalty towards him if I'm right it makes the story even more sad as she had nothing to do with Hitlers atrocities against the children and adults he tortured and murdered and its still a fascinating love story bcs Eva was so beautiful and full of life

She was attractive, athletic, simple but with misguided loyalty that cost her her life.........

Hitler was Austrian but Austrians and Germans are the same ethnicity, and if you knew anything about Hitler his whole campaign was based around reuniting all ethnic Germans, and Austria voted over 98% per referendum to join Germany. Why do you think it’s necessary that ethnic Europeans should be replaced?

The difference with Eva is that much of the footage is colour, and of very high quality, and I felt it was more suited to modern music, hence the choice. Also, I wanted a soundtrack that was both emotive and dramatic, in keeping with the circumstances of her life, and I felt that the music I picked served that purpose...

Oddly enough,, I read a very recent interview with a women who worked for Hitler as in a house keeping position. She would have been about 17 at the time. She is still alive. She described him as a very good boss. very polite to the staff, always courtious, and treated the people who worked for him very.. So go figure!?

I just watched a really great film posted on KZread last night called "Downfall". For anyone interested in Braun it's a must see. Much of the info came from Traudl Junge, who apparently knew Braun pretty well. In one scene Braun says she is jealous of the dog Blondi, she says she kicks it and the dog acts strange, and Hitler doesn't know why.

Quite the changling. She can look so different in so many of the photos.

For anyone that hasn't seen it, there is a movie posted on KZread called "Downfall", it depicts the final days inside Hitlers bunker with Eva Braun and Goebbels, etc. Much of the info for the movie came from survivors of the bunker, it appears pretty accurate.

The comments about the music are interesting and I understand all of your points about using old-style or classical music for this type of material. I actually did this on a lot of my early videos on Nuremberg, Goebbels etc. But that footage was mainly black and white and looked very old, and so that style of music suited it well.

Thanks for the info about Laura. I don't understand German, so I used Babelfish to translate the lyrics, and although the English translation sounded a bit garbled, as it often does with Babel, I thought the lyrics sounded reasonably fitting, so I went ahead with the song.

Love has no logic! When a woman sincerely falls in love, she will be faithful to the man until the last, even if he is a villain! She died with him because she loved him! Don't judge her for this!

I think he may be referring to the book:- 'The Lost Life Of Eva Braun' by Angela Lambert. It came out last year and is fairly objective. You can get it from Amazon or occasionally on Ebay.

You may well be right. The various TV documentaries I took this material from were in the habit of regularly confusing Eva either with one of her sisters, or with one of Hitler's secretaries or the wives of nazi officials. Something or other must have convinced me this was Eva, for me to have used it. I actually discarded quite a few clips and photos of dubious origin along the way...
