Yes ! Ev800D is still a good choice in 2023 FPV. Here you can see the colors and brightness that it provide.
Only the GoProHero11 footage got colorimetry. The main thing that makes me keep it after so long is the wide FOV. Compare it to goggles like HDO2 or even the last DJI Goggles 2, you will know what i mean. Only the DJI V2 got a similar FOV but for me, i will stick to analogic VRX.

Hi everyone ! I've noticed that many of you keep asking how I achieve such great image quality with the EV800D. The method is quite simple: you need to build your own drone to minimize electronic noise as much as possible. Make sure to include a capacitor to absorb any potential spikes and use a pair of Prodrone antennas. The antennas should be handmade and pre-configured to the frequency you will use (RaceBand 1 is perfect). Combo Prodrone/TrueRc ! Et encore je n'avais pas reçu le patch Xtreme V3 à ce moment-là, depuis c'est encore mieux, surtout en extérieur 🙂

Wow beatiful scenery!❤ I just ordered the ev800d in 2024 for 100,- euros. I'm a bloody noob in fps. Just a question: is the video quality showen this video what it looks like under the googles? Or does it looks better under the googles? I've read alot and yeah this seems to be common with analogs. Thanks! ❤

The video footage in the right bottom corner is the EV800D DVR .avi file, this is the quality that you'll get on your SD card after recording your flight if you use a perfect vtx/antennas/configurations combo !
What are the visuals like from the goggles from your experience? I dont have any vision problems but just wondering if its similar to vr goggles or more like holding a phone right in front of my face. How easy is it to look at the screen? Also are there attachments to connect the goggles display to a larger screen for others to see also?

This is a really good question. The best part for me, as an analogic FPV drone pilot, is that EV800D visuals make you feel like you are in a video game every time. Nothing in FPV is bad enough to be like holding a phone in cheap cardbox. Most of mask/goggles will give you that vr feeling, even the cheap EV800D and with an incredible FOV. Don't forget that different cameras give you different video quality, that's not only the VRX. This is not my favorite analog mask for nothing. The one from Orqa should be better but I have never tried it yet. FPV is signal transmission. Find a screen on Aliexpress, learn about RHCP/LHCP polarities and you'll be good to share on an extra monitor. There is also Eachine ROTG01 in 5.8gHz, make some research about it, this is also what you are looking for ✌️ Enjoy discovering the FPV world 😊✌️

What is the max range you have achieve with ev800D?

I already did 2.5km in 600mW mode, but i was more limited by my 1500mah Lipo than by my signal reception. Btw, i can't do more than 2km with a freestyle stubby antenna on the quad, but if i use the long semi rigid 16cm antenna, i could in theory go to 6km away with my helical and Xtreme antennas from prodrone (on the EV800D) 🙂 Some people said that it could be done in 25mW, i never tried it out 😅

Salut Quentin, merci pour ton commentaire ça fait plaisir 🙂 Pour le pilotage sur le coup il y avait beaucoup de vent et le drone n'était pas encore tuné donc ça bouge dans tous les sens surtout mais merci 😆 Concernant ta suggestion de revue complète de l'EV800D, c'est une excellente idée ! En effet j'ai essayé un paquet de combos d'antennes différentes sur ce masque pour en tirer le maximum, étant donné qu'il est difficile de trouver un masque avec un aussi grand FOV. Donc il y aurait matière à faire une vidéo, yes ! À voir si d'autres personnes seraient intéressées par ce type de contenu 🙂✌️

@@Koryassalut, j’ai la même configue niveau vtx, casque et bientôt les antennes aussi et je voulais savoir c’est quoi le maximum que tu as atteint avec cette config la ? Au passage pourquoi le r1 pour la bande?

@@Bolbee.Salut ! Avec ce genre de config, tu peux viser 6km en open-field, 2km avec pas mal d'arbres et 1km environ en bando avec pas mal de structures métalliques 👍 Après tout dépend d'où tu te positionne et comment est le relief là où tu voles 😊

T'étais en 800mw ? 😂 Normal que le signal est bon même avec les stock ça marcherait Est-ce que tu as senti une différence avec les antennes d'origine ducoup ?

As tu déjà essayé les antennes stock ? 😂 300m de signal voir 400m en dégradé maximum 🪫Et surtout aucune pénétration et ne parlons même pas de l'angle 🙂 Là j'étais en 800mW en effet, dans ces conditions, en théorie je pourrais faire 6km avec un signal "dégradé après 2km" mais ça, ce sera le sujet de la prochaine vidéo donc n'oublie pas de t'abonner pour ne pas rater ça 😜

@@Koryas J'ai fait 1.7km en 400mw avec les stocks et encore le signal était bon 🤣🤣. Si tu peux, fait un test en 25mw pour les différencier

Oui le test en 25mW est une très bonne idée 👍 Mais l'antenne Helical de chez Prodrone est juste incroyable, j'attends de recevoir la nouvelle V3 xtreem et je pourrais faire une vidéo comparative sur du long range ✌️
