All rtcs should go electric for sub 250 Km routes . As the MD mentioned these buses are earning 20 rs more per km compared to Volvo with less maint. The future is definitely electric

Cant thank them enough for all the trips I was able to take between Bangalore and Chennai and back,when Train tickets were always SOLD OUT, back in 2004-2006 !!

Good development. Roads where these buses run should be good. As long as charging stations are there, they can even do bus transfers to cover distances beyond the current range. For instance, on Hubli/Belagavi route, they can do a transfer say in Davengere bus stop and a different bus can take the same passenger to Belagavi. 10 minutes transfer time.

I traveled from the north to the bottom of the south of India, but I've never seen a bus service like the one we have in Bangalore and KSRTC. Right now, I'm on a bus from Mysore to Bangalore, and this bus is faster than the cars on the highway with very little noise.

Believe me Karnataka bus transportation is beast in India… full comfort, no fatigue even you travel for long hrs, no claustrophobia, good leg space, good ventilation overall the best in India…

Olectra buses are made by a Hyderabadi company with Chinese collaboration. Is that why they win so many e-bus orders by undercutting on price? Why don't govt. agencies buy as many buses from Tata and Leyland?

The highest production of lithium ion batteries takes place in china. Even if it's tata or any other companies they are Forced to buy then from China otherwise the cost wouldn't be feasible.Just look at the mobile phones we use .Even the iphones are manufactured in china as batteries are the main component in any Modern gadgets.I believe as Indian's try to save money as much as possible the ksrtc took the right decision.

We have Buses belongs to tata and Leyland .. all the Karnataka sarige buses are either tata or Leyland and non AC sleeper and sami sleeper are from Leyland

Constructing new Bus terminal is not a big deal at Bangalore but maintaining it in good condition without dumping waste and pan spit is challenging thing. People should develop good manners to keep the public areas clean. Bangalore is not less than any Fancy place if it is clean.

Ksrtc is the best State transport company in India. Their are always keep passenger comfort and convenience in mind and induct latest technology in their fleet. Hope other States learn from Ksrtc.

Even with that condition i will be able to reach my destination in my bullock cart, but i guarantee that your bike/car will not make it.

It is not necessary to go for EV buses given they are expensive. A credible and frequent bus service is crucial between any two important cities. Post that the ease of booking is basic minimum. Only the premium buses should have online booking options rest of buses can have only 50% booking of seats by online booking. Buses should cater all types of classes and not just the tech savvy and higher middle class.

Kerala state RTC don't have money to pay salary to employees. To save petrol price they are getting diesel from Karnataka. Dont say jokes. Antony raju, minister in charge for kerala RTC is getting slaps from ruling union CITU for not giving salary to drivers and conductors
