I always seem to forget 2010 exists as a Eurovision year since we definitely had a lot of entries which were forgettable (like Sweden’s, which got them their only NQ to date) or straight up terrible (like the Netherlands, thank god S10 redeemed the Dutch language in Eurovision). Despite that this year still has a lot of songs which I really love. Here’s my top 10: 10. Romania 🇷🇴 - I’m not quite as obsessed with this as a lot of other people are, but I get the hype, and I definitely see why this got Romania their best result to date. 9. Armenia 🇦🇲 - Armenia are at their best when they do ethnic entries. Arguably of the trio of Jako, Apricot Stone and Jan Jan this is my least favourite, but that says more about how the other two are ridiculously strong. This is still a great entry. 8. Iceland 🇮🇸 - For a pop entry this is definitely very classily performed. Hera is an icon, and her vocal performance was on point. It’s a shame she was lumbered with Scared of Heights this year, because this truly was a fantastic performance from her. 7. France 🇫🇷 - Such a fun entry. Super catchy too. I think it’s completely warranted why people still remember this today. 6. Greece 🇬🇷 - Another country which always impresses me when they go with an ethnic entry (except 2016). I loved the simplicity of this, and how the song does most of the work here, and the performance was great too which just adds to it. 5. Germany 🇩🇪 - Even though it isn’t my favourite I think it’s a deserving winner for sure. Lena is just pure joy to watch on stage, and the song is super catchy. See Germany can do well in Eurovision. 4. Serbia 🇷🇸 - I might be overrating this but oh well. Yeah Milan’s styling is a bit weird but this is so catchy. It always gets stuck in my head, and it’s a very interesting twist on a Balkan ballad. 3. Turkey 🇹🇷 - Turkey’s last big moment in Eurovision, and boy was it a good one. One of my favourite rock entries to come out of Eurovision, and I can see why people wanted this to win, it’s truly a fantastic entry. 2. Slovakia 🇸🇰 - Come on Europe how could you do Slovakia this dirty? This song is so ethereal and magical, and Kristina put in a good performance. 1. Moldova 🇲🇩 - Again I might be overrating this but again, oh well. This is just so catchy and memorable, and performance wise it was well done as well. 22nd was way too low. Definitely another classic that Moldova has given us.

The saddest thing about Sweet People is that its message is still sooooo relevant these days. I adore this song anyway. Even Alyosha's outfit looked like she came from post-apocalyptic sci-fi films

This year was not that strong in my opinion but still it is a decent year. There are a couple of bops but most of them just are slightly forgettable.

I actually do think Finland's entry this year is their best one, at least in this century (it's my #3 of this year). Tbh I'm in the "Turkey should've won" crowd (I also think Romania would've been a better winner than Germany), but I agree that it's dumb that people are still actively mad about it. That said, Satellite's not bad by any stretch, but it's probably one of my least favorite winners.
