One of the best and objective reaction,thank's a lot

I love this entry because even though it's weird at first glance, it doesn't become obnoxious or annoying, the atmosphere of the song is contained within the performance and you kind of end up "getting" that little world they created. It doesn't cross that "this is too weird/bizzare, I don't get it" threshold some more unorthodox acts often suffer from. I've seen many reactions of people saying things like "I feel like I shouldn't like it, but I do", "this is weird, but in a good way" or "I don't know why it's so good". It's artistic, catchy, and the lead vocalist manages to transfer the energy and feeling of the song through his charismatic performance, it all somehow meshes together and makes sense. Our entry has never garnered this much attention and hype so it's nice to see many ESC fans get behind it. The actual contest is still almost 3 months away and most countries haven't even chosen their songs yet, so I'm trying to keep my expectations down because who knows what will happen, but it's a fun experience to be considered one of the favourites even if just for now :)

I know what you mean about trying not to get too expectant about it. It is DEFINITELY the stand-out piece so far, but it's so hard to guess what the other entries will be like.

I will remember this performance for so many years... I've seeing reactions from any age. I find it so original. Love it!

In our national final the roop was juries favorite. It also got in total 35 000 votes from televote, while runner up got 15 000. It was a clear fan and jury favorite. Your reaction was nice and interesting to watch 👍👍

They actually got 50 000 votes. About 15 000 votes did not make it through on the night of the contest.

Whallop yes! Not many people link into such things and don’t bother. Usually like 15,000 - 20,000 or less watch but this year was interesting as so many people watched and voted for this act. Glad they got through and so many people are so supportive!

The Roop has the most 'likes' on their video on the official ESC youtube channel, compared to the other entries that has been chosen upto today. So I'd say it is already a fan-favourite. 'the crown', I suppose is representing 'fire', flames, coming out of his head.

Haha everybody is surprised that they love it! However I would recommend you watching the entire Lithuania’s national final, as it was great. The ROOP has won with the jury’s votes as well as it was fans favourite. They got around 30k votes comparing to the second place ~10k votes. Second place winner Monique had also an amazing song, which was my favourite to be honest. But now that they have won, I really ROOT FOR THE ROOP 💛🍀🔥

Votes were counted from jurry and viewers. There was 3 heats, two semifinals and finals ind big arena. The Roop's points trippled second place but there was atleast two songs which were Eurovision material (recommend you to watch Lithuanias Eurovision finals). How people decides is vocal strong or not? Because when I watched other reactions people said roops vocal was incredible or not strong at all...

Yes, this song is the first one that sounds like something different from the rest 🤔 He has parts that I like a lot (when he sings about everything)😍 but then the instrumental part seems to me to decay a lot 😐.... I liked the last two proposals of Lithuania: "Run with the lions" and "When We're Old."

It took me a long time to get on board with When We're Old. The chorus felt very '90s to me, but not the '90s music I was into. By the time the finals rolled around I was fully into it though.

The Lithuanian final was great this year. The Roop were worthy winners. Monique was outstanding. Monica was good, but the song was not Eurovision material really (by her own admission). I also loved Ruta Loop and Kayra. But the jusitifed winners triumphed in the end.

I have to admit that I find that the performance distracts me from actually listening to the song. That being said the performance is quirky and fun. Entertaining. And to my ear better than the actual song which - while fine - doesn't ring my bell quite as hard as it CLEARLY does other people's bells. Also, I heartily disliked "Eastern European Funk". But I don't mind this. His accent bothers me a tiny bit but not majerly so. And I am not that fond of the instrumental breaks. But clearly they are needed for the dancing bits. As for the fire/crown I am also seeing the crown but frankly I don't think it matters. That just adds to the silliness. The song is ok for me but without the visuals I wouldn't put it on and listen to it on purpose. That being said it will probably do allright. Can't quite see it winning but maybe a top 10 placing just for the quirkiness?

I mean, how often do you get great melodies in ESC? Literally 90% of songs are either generic pop/dance tracks with repetitive high energy beats that ramp up very predictably or some sort of ballads. I don't disagree this isn't some masterpiece, but ultimately it does sound very different and fresh to majority of ESC entries with its alternative style pop-synth sound.
