I believe Austria 2017 still got a distinction of being the highest ranked 0-pointer ever on Eurovision. I mean, he finished 16th out of 26 with no help from the televote. It still speaks volumes on the high quality of this song.

All the crimes associated with Estonia and Finland are my biggest crimes. Two of my favourite songs this and of all of Eurovision and they didn't qualify...I'm still devastated :'(

I don't really care for the Estonian song, but that mic should not have failed. It is a crime on the organizational level. My nr. 1 crime, is the 15p from the televotes for the Netherlands. It was emotional, perfect voices, it elevated the song to a 5th place with the juries. I just do not get it.

It was funny rewatching that moment, when the hosts announced "zero point to..." and everyone started cheering (likely assuming it was Spain), and then "...Austria", and it changes to gasps of shock.

I can't wait for next year's eurovision! Everytime I watch your videos, it feels like it's family to me. I will miss you guys so much! :/

-Albania and Georgia didn't qualify from semi final 1 -Netherlands was robbed by televote -Belarus finished 17th and Denmark finished 20th (should be top 10) The biggest crime is Albania didn't qualify to final. Lindita has the best rock vocal. She can make 20seconds long note and still didn't qualify?!?

the fact that sweden came fifth in the grand final, meaning italy was left at 6th place, is just baffling. francesco might've not deserved to win (his live performance wasn't as good as it could've been) but he would've deserved to be in top 3, at least. and sweden? why did it even qualify? it seems to me that no matter what they send to the contest, they always finish in the top 5.

Let's be honest: 1. Georgia, Finland, Serbia deserved to qualify 2. Poland was ROBBED, while Australia recieved points 3. All the cool song finished low (Denmark, Cyprus, Poland, Greece, Israel, Austria) 4. Israel was VERY UNDERRATED 5.Australia is overrated by juries 6. And of course, ass during the Jamala's performance

The Bulgarian jury and the Portuguese jury had the same countries in their top 12, so it makes sense that they didn't give any points to each other. Bulgaria had Austria, The Netherlands and Israel in their top 3 in both the semi-final and the GF. I don't think they intentionally hurt each other.

My number 1 crime is that italy was on the 6th place while the bookmakers italy placed number 1 for a lot off weeks... It's weird

I definitely agree, the fact that Finland and Estonia didn't even qualify is truly a crime! When I saw both of their rehearsals I was certain that they would qualify. Maybe Eurovision is harder to predict after all? All I hope for is that both countries qualify next year and that they prove the juries wrong!! 🙏🏻🇪🇪🇫🇮 And I do think that Georgia deserved to qualify for the final - Tamara was amazing!! And even the UK deserved a better spot than 15th place, because Lucie was amazing live... 🇬🇪🇬🇧

Finland sends its best entry ever and they fail to qualify :( Estonia sends its second best entry ever after Elina and Stig and fails to qualify :( Switzerland sends its second best entry ever after Sebalter and fails to qualify :( Denmark sends its second best entry after Emmelie de Forest and ends up among the bottom 7 and almost fail to qualify :( France was not in the top 10 Macedonia was a big favourite since the release of the song and fails to qualify... Latvia placed dead last in semi 1... The main crimes in my opinion😔

Part 3: 4. France deserved more from the jury simple as that really. Loved the staging, performance and vocals! 3. This is hands down my favorite Finnish entry of all time and the biggest crime of the season! For this to qualify for the televote and not the jury is beyond me as the jury should award artistic efforts. Instead they seem to reward plastic pop rather then this masterpiece, which is a crime in itself.. Normas performance was amazing, the staging was amazing and the song was amazing #JusticeForBlackbird! 2. However it was far more obvious in the bulgarian jury as they had Portugal in 23rd place, wereas Portugal overall had Bulgaria in 14th place and had quality songs in their top 10, which is a more plausable score tbh. Bulgaria just actually flipped the odds more or less. 1. ''Blackbird'' was far more of a serious crime then this cringy ass performance from Estonia. Fun fact Estonias performance was the only one in this Eurovision season that literally gave me anxiety. So relatively content that they didn't qualify tbh. Great video you guys! Looking forward for more content in the future!

Even though I am really not a fan of the Estonian song, the microphone failing was utterly unforgivable. I personally didn't want it to qualify but I was really shocked when it didn't. Everyone who I had talked to about Eurovision beforehand had Estonia in their top 5 or 6 and that convinced me that it would go through. Even though I am not a fan of the song itself, the whole situation just seems unfair. Austria getting zero points on the televote completely broke my heart. Running on Air was my favourite song in the whole competiton and Nathan Trent deserved so much more. I am really disappointed for him. Australia also shocked me, it was my second favourite of the whole thing and to see my top two come last and second to last was really disappointing. One crime for me that wasn't mentioned is Spain's Manel Navarro getting no points from the jury. Yes, I get the fact that I am in the minority that like the song but no points is just a joke. Giving someone no points whatsoever pretty much means you are calling their song not a song in my opinion. Yes, Manel did struggle vocally and I understand that people do find the song monotonous and some even find it boring, but the staging was very well produced and it gave a really feel-good summery feel in my opinion which no other song gave in the grand final. Really enjoyed this video! :D

Jordan Munn on the spain topic i have a little opinion and thats the controversy, in spain national qualifier exist powerful rumors that was rigged to make one of the judges friend win, if thats true or not i dont know, i dont have internal information, but true or not the fact that the rumours even exist tarnished the reputation of the song fir anyone who heard about the controversy, and like it or not the judges arent impartial, they re humans and have opinions, so when they felt the song was "unfairly" there, more if they liked mirelas song, probably didnt saw it as fair to give it its points, and im not saying all judges thought like that if a good part of the judges did can explain his lack or points

I personally don't care for the rumours that surrounded the Spanish national selection. There may have been something going on behind the scenes with his team or with one of the judges but by the rules that RTVE set objectivo Eurovision this year Manel Navarro won fairly. There is no point complaining about who wins a national selection. If there isn't solid and complete proof that the winner cheated then they are going to Eurovision. Simple as that. I don't let the uncertain circumstances surrounding his song cloud my view of it. I personally really enjoy "Do It For Your Lover" It puts me in a good mood and it's great to have on while relaxing on a sunny afternoon! Also, the juries shouldn't really be judging a song based on the circumstances on how it was chosen. I certainly see where you are coming from and I do understand why Spain came last with the juries, there is no hiding the fact that he did have a lot of vocal issues and I do understand that the song is a very aquired taste. But giving the song 0 points is very unfairly harsh in my own opinion. Spain can't really seem to win either way with the Spanish fans these days. In 2014 they went with the televote and Ruth Lorenzo won over Brequette which the fans didn't agree with. This year they go with the jury and Manel Navarro wins over Mirela. It just seems to be a never ending cycle. I personally really hope Spain can get back on track next year as the last three years have delivered three results I don't personally agree with. Barei, Edurne and Manel all deserved higher in my opinion but hey, that's just me.

Hungary is my no.1 crime. Punished by the juries even though he came 2nd in his semi final televote behind only Bulgaria. The way juries just blindly punish anything that has just the tinyest bit of rap in it is so infuriating! Deserved so much better in the Grand Final

Aaah love to hear you guys talk about eurovision again :D I have to say though, the not qualifying of Estonia wasn't because of the mic fail. During the jury final i bet the mic worked and they placed it 17th. When the mic didn't work the public ranked it 6th (which is i think a decent place). Soooo, the jury ranking it so low is the real crime. The mic would've been a crime it they would've placed under 10th place with the public. Just my opinion, but I thought i would tell you :)

I hope you're going to do a video about with tracks did better because of the live performance (Moldova, Netherlands) and which tracks did worse because of it (Switzerland, Australia, Belgium). I think there were more countries that had a harder time improving their act for the live performance versus their studio track. I think Wiwibloggs has done this before, and would love to see it again.

I'd also have shoved how poorly Francesco did in both the votes. He was nailed on to win the televote for sure, what went wrong there?! Also i think Televote should have double the points of the Jury, either that or incorporate an entire new points system for the televote which means they have more of an impact on the results than the jury.

Hello guys! While I can see the reason behind your thoughts that Bulgarian and Portuguese juries underrated each others songs, I sort of disagree with you naming this as one of the top crimes. Putting songs like these 10th, 15th or 20th could easily be explained by musical taste - sorry, Portuguese song is not the typical Eurovision type of song by any means. I mean, at least they can pretend that it's just their taste. If you want to look for real crimes in jury voting, look at Armenia and Azerbaijan putting each other dead last by EVERY member of the "professional" jury. They've been doing this thing for years with obvious (pure political) reasoning and nobody gives a damn about it. Look at my favourite example - Larisa Rubalskaya @ Russia, 2016 - she put Australia 24th and Ukraine 25th! Think about it! Not 10th, not 15th, not 20th - she didn't even try to pretend that it's just her musical taste - she OBVIOUSLY voted for Sergey Lazarev as a winner by putting both direct competitors last. That's what could be called a real crime, not something like Bulgaria finishing at #3, #4, #18, #16 and #23 among Portuguese jury members. Again, I personally disliked Portugal (I just hate all those jazz vibes, I wouldn't watch Eurovision if I liked this type of music) and wasn't a big fan of Bulgaria either so I can easily see jurors not putting both in the top 10. For me, UK finishing just 15th was literally the biggest crime this year even though I don't have any exact person to blame for that :/

There were a lot of crimes this year, I agree with all points you have spoken about in the video. I am also very sad about Albania Estonia Georgia and Switzerland not making it to the final for example. But there is something I am very happy about. 2016 und 2017 a song in another language than English won (ok. 2016 was a part of the song in English, but not the whole song) and I hope counties will bring more songs in other languages than English (of course not England Ireland and Austrailia because thats the language they speak). :). No.1 Crime is Italy coming 6th and Finland not going through to the final. Period.

Honestly I can't stand "Verona" so it not making the final I'm OK with. Also the juries voted on the performance the night before thougg? So Laura's mic failing doesn't effect that. And I kind of like the absence of Russia, I feel like because of them not being there it really gave Bulgaria a well deserved boost. I am however on your side with wanting to have as many countries in the contest as possible every year.

The 2 countries in the second semi that were the safest qualifiers (estonia and switzerland) both DID NOT QUALIFY. I was in tears after the second semi results. I couldnt sleep. While i was sleeping i made an ocean of tears. Estonia and switzerland You will always be in my heart.

I'm sorry for Latvia but it is the truth that she reminded me of Child's Play and her voice or her singing performance wasn't good, so I can understand why she got last in the jury televoting but I agree that it is a crime that she got only one point. But what for me is the most crime its that the audience gave her 20 points.... It remember me of the hyped Spain 2016. I think that the most people thought that she get with no problems to the finals but no she didn't get trough. I think that the issue with the UK entry is that the song seems rather long, like it's longer than the allowed 3 minutes. In the middle of a contest with different acts such as "Yodel it", "My Friend" and "Hey, Mamma" (songs which did really well), the UK entry kind of .. is Britain. United Kingdom tend to send things that is very UK, without doing too good, so it might be an idea to try something different or try to figure out why Jessica Garlic did so good in 2002.

Wiwibloggs i would like to know your opinion for Macedonia not qualifying. What are your thoughts? It was in my top 3 songs this year.... And i felt so bad when it did not qualify because it clearly deserved it...

There were so many crimes this year. I still can't believe that Finland and Estonia did not qualify. For me the biggest crime is Poland being in the bottom 5 in the jury voting in the final for the 4th year in a row. Also if it was only jury voting Poland wouldn't qualify to the final every year since 2014. Thank you for the videos, Wiwibloggs. Love,

Darlings I checked and Nathan wasn’t even CLOSE to getting points from the televote. Only ONE country (Malta) ranked him 11th. One country (Denmark) ranked him 12th. A few had him 14th, and a lot had him 20th or lower ☹️

A couple of points, In Ear Monitors. At the ESC there is a mixing desk exclusively for mixing the stems of the music track(digital equivalent of tracks on a multi track)that the performers hear in their ears.The performers can have this anyway they want, and they can chose how much or how little they hear of themselves. There is even a secret stem which only the performers can hear. There is a referee, there are two they are called Jan Ola Sand and Ola Melzig. If a techical fault spoils a performance they authorise a rerun, I don't know why they didn't for Estonia. Notes about scores and positions. The scoring system has over the years be refined to prevent ties, when was the last time you saw four song joint sixth? Next year if the forty-two best songs in the world are entered there'll still only be twenty-six in the final, and of those twenty-six only ten will be in the top ten. Maybe a video telling us which songs shouldn't have been in the top ten to make way for the ones that should would be in order. Some years I find myself with twelve songs that should have been in the top ten!

Crimes: Poland, Albania, Georgia, San Marino, Iceland, and also Lithuania, they all deserved to do better ❤️

Estonia did get offered a chance to perform again and they did consider it for a minute, but decided not to do it because the moment had passed for them. I'm Estonian and they spoke about in an interview with the local newspaper.

It was a crime how Georgia failed to qualify. That voice wasn't meant to remain stuck in the semis

I wasn't really paying attention to Latvia's song before the contest, so the semi final performance was only like the 2nd time I heard it, and while I was watching it, I was very underwhelmed. I knew it wasn't going through, and I don't question the fact that they came last.

Even if the Bulgarian and Portuguese juries didn't impact the winner, they did impact Italy's score and they also sent points to places they weren't supposed to go. Must not have been great for Nathan Trent to realise his 12 Bulgarian jury points were given because they considered him not a threat. Great video though! I love these from each year. It's missing the Romanian kiss and Salvador's cringey speech.

Blackbird needed some triumphal orchestra in the final chorus.horns and trumpets.(think 1944 2027 live version) It was that kind of song, they slept on it. I wanted to love love love it and it let me down, live that is.still should have qualified though
