    One thing that always strikes me when watching such videos is the question why it is so extremely hard for French, Spanish and Italian people to speak halfway decent English and why it is so hard for French, Spanish and Italian companies to find spokespeople who can speak English well. It is as if they just discovered last year that English is kind of important in the world of international business and marketing. You can and will find tons of Germans, Russians and Asians who speak really good English, even when they grew up and normally speak their native tongues, but somehow something about growing up with one of those Latin descendant languages (Italian, French and Spanish) seems to make it super hard to learn a language that comes from another origin.

  • @TrangleC

    Probably, but I'm not good with languages anyways. The phenomenon I'm talking about however, is not just between English and Latin languages and it isn't just a matter of accent. Most of those company spokespeople I was talking about in my first comment don't just have strong accents, they often sound as if they only learned English shortly before stepping in front of the camera. I've spend a year in China and basically the only foreigners I've met that spoke Chinese well were all from English speaking countries or from Germany. I never even met a French, Spanish or Italian person who even tried speaking Chinese. It just generally seems as if people from those countries don't get around much and don't interact with people from other countries as much as others do. Also, I'm currently living in the south-west of Germany, near the French boarder and most of the Germans here speak French and English, while it seems impossible to find a French person who speaks either German or English, even though many French people come over the boarder to go shopping in Germany and stuff like that.

    I said the same thing until the Ukraine war. The Ukrainians seem much more willing to take the Bradleys into combat than any other ifv. With all the upgraded armor packages for the Bradley, it seems way more survivable. Lot's of videos of Bradleys taking severe punishment and the Ukrainians still survive.

    It's crazy how everyone is supposed to adapt to people who can only speak English? how about you try learning a language or two? and why should anyone including non English speakers work to "erase" their accents ? I understood every word that was said on this video. it seems that what's bothering you the most are the accents and not the fact that English isn't their native language..your whole post is trash, it's trivial and is a waste of space.

    Tullzter I can already speak and write in 7 different languages. And I don't expect everyone to be perfect in english, it's just strange for me that the companies use people for marketing with such an accent I thought it's metter for marketing to have someone who's perfect at what he's doing, but yea, you are right, you can still understand every word the're speaking maybe they prefer the poeple to be "authentic", like talking in that typical German-English for example

    That's because Francophone's english learning model is almost entirely written-based. And since English teachers are almost entirely French and have already this kind of accent you can imagine the disaster. I'm French but i'm shocked wen i hear this level in such an international event.

    Why are Turkish companies so supreme? Pars 4x4 looks like German Fennek but is amphibious, that Otokar APC at 10:14 looks like German GTK Boxer and has similar weight but is amphibious!

  • @jonny2954

    @jonny2954

    6 жыл бұрын

    Pars 4x4 isn't turkish. 'FNSS Savunma Sistemleri A.Ş. is a Turkish joint venture company owned 51% by Nurol Holding of Turkey and 49% by BAE Systems Inc.' PARS is just the licence-made Turkish version of vehicles developed by the US company General Purpose Vehicles (located in Michigan). Now, are you familliar with the basic principle of buoyancy? You'll need either a larger internal volume or external floating mechanisms (like on the K-21) to keep a heavier vehicle afloat. Noticing the lack of the latter, the APC has larger internal volume as a Boxer or Patria AMV as example. Now, a larger internal volume also results in a larger external surface, which needs to be armored. Thus, the vehicle with a larger volume at the same weight is going to have a lower protection level, because it needs to armor a larger surface area at the same weight, resulting in thinner armor. Official values support my idea, the Boxer meets a higher STANAG 4569 level.

  • @jonny2954

    @jonny2954

    All of the PARS are license build from the US company General Purpose Vehicles, Michigan. This is no secret, it's on FNSS website and literally the first line on Wikipedia. Looks familliar: www.army-guide.com/eng/firm3164.html

    It's license build. That means it's build at FNSS in turkey, but developed in the US. FNSS is a joint venture, 51% is owned by a turkish holding, 49% is owned by BAE systems, a british company. FNSS bought the license from GPV, and has the right to build theese vehicles in turkey. Do i really need to explain this?
