Europes Biggest LEGO Train Event: BSBT 2023

Ойын-сауық

Last August, I was at the 2023 L-Brick Bauspielbahn-Treffen at the old tram deport in Schkeuditz. For one weekend per year, LEGO train builders from all over Europe and beyond travel here to setup their layouts and play trains at europe's biggest LEGO train event.
I want to thank the team from L-Brick who did an excellent job organising the event. More info about them can be found here:
www.lbrick.de
Below is a list of all the builders who attended the event, although with around 60 participants I'm sure I missed some names. If you were part of the event and I didn't include your name, please let me know so I can update the description!

    I'm deeply impressed by the track terrain! So much functionality, variety and detail, like that graffiti on a bridge...trains are absolutely awesome but it's the environment that really brings them to life

    Thank you for this excellent work and quality video. I really like that you added some notes on the different layouts, and you didn't make a music video, but a good demonstation of the whole event (including me swearing in Hungarian at those who ran the red signal AGAIN :D )

    Amazing video. Thank you for the detailed explanation, the notes on the trains, and the little details (like blurry children’s faces - as a parent I can’t thank you enough for doing this). The voice over was excellent. Thanks from an Australian!

    Very nice, love the lights. It looks like you put copper foil on some non-powered track to make it function like 9 volt powered track. How much of the track in the layout is powered? Does the laptop control all types of LEGO trains? (9 volt, RC, power functions, powered up) Thanks

  • @Tiesproductions

    @Tiesproductions

    Ай бұрын

    Thanks! If I remember correctly, in 2022 about 25% of the track was powered with standard 9v speed controllers, but last year all the main track was battery only. Some of the builders at the event build their modules with the option for 9v track power (this is also where the copper foil on the track comes from), but I don't think this was used for the 2023 layout. The laptop you see in the video controls all the switches and signalling around Ashifalva station, but not the trains themselves. All trains are controlled manually by a driver walking next to their train, usually via bluetooth or infrared.

    Are all the curves 40-stud radius? Or are larger curves also present?

  • @Tiesproductions

    @Tiesproductions

    7 ай бұрын

    All of the main line is built using curves and switches with a 104-stud radius or bigger , only a few sections of branch line and some sidings use standard 40-stud radius tracks.
