They are meant to be partial to the European people, therefore it is expected of them not to display national interest in the form of their flag (unless of course it's displayed alongside the flags of all the other member states). The brexit party's display is one of purely nationalistic intent and has no place in an institution that is supposed to represent all the nations of the Union.

It's likely to take a decade to rejoin the EU and thats if they're up for a second Greece. Polls showed the many in Scotland chose to remain in the UK because they felt it would be very hard for a independent Scotland to join the EU. Many of these voters voted for the UK to stay in the EU but the majority of the UK wanted out so that leads us to where we are today. I know my facts very much thank you

Silly point, Sweden is not going to leave the EU and the pound being worth more than the euro doesn't really mean much, like Poland doesn't have a better economy than Sweden because its currency has higher value

Mark Oliver Walsh it actually meant a lot. Part of the reason why the Nordic countries ended up opt out of the euro zone was because the UK decided not to join, which in part devalued Euro quite a bit, as the UK was one of the biggest economic stellar of all the member state.

@@curtiswhyte3297 the "weak" Euro is what allows Germany to utterly dominate Europe financially, wouldn't have worked with a German equivalent of the British Pound which certainly would have been stronger than the Euro as well, probably stronger than the Pound as well, therefore hurting Germany's export focus
