Thousands of Norwegians have been trapped in snowdrifts. The intensity of the snowfall prompted state meteorologists to issue warnings in the southern cities of Kristiansand and Arendal.
People who got trapped in 1,000 vehicles in heavy snow for more than 24 hours have been evacuated, Rescuers worked through the night to free people stuck on the main E22 road in the Skane area of southern Sweden.

Exactly :-). Sure that amount of snow that southern Norway got in a short while is an inconvenience. Where I am, slightly further north we have no issues with snow, but it is between minus 30 and 40 degrees C where I am (minus 40 C is convenient as it is also minus 40 Fahrenheit for Americans). What is important is to remember is people have lived in these conditions for 10,000+ years. We are kind of scaled for it. As my mother would remind me growing into my teens 30+ years ago: "Just do not get so drunk that you fall asleep outdoors tonight". We are of course a more multicultural nation now (Ukrainian friends are HARD, but may not be that accustomed to recognising hypothermia or frostbites on children as us who grew up here, so the media has rightly made some noise - and I am pleased to see that action has been taken for the not so lucky street-dwellers that can be found in larger cities. Though it is the "classical weather" we have now, it is also absolutely lethal of course.

@@glacieractivity I like your term, "street Dwellers" it gives homelessness a certain classy appeal. We should adopt that term here in the USA.
No worries the EV cars will get you through all this cold weather. But if you are stuck in your fantastic EV car only put the heater on for two mins every two hours it might get you through 8 hours .

Ok troll or un informed person, also people who travel in such weather should travel with proper clothing and provisions incase of emergency. even, with my small battery leaf i could run continues heat for about 24 hours. And not worry about killing my self because of CO² poisoning
