Euronymous VS Varg Vikernes (Black Metal Guitar Riffs Battle)
There can might be some errors due the difficult to find the proper tabs for burzum songs.
I know that there's videos on youtube of Varg playing the songs but he just play some parts and doesn't help too much.

    @TheCrimsonOne5083 жыл бұрын

    Euronymous was a phenomenal guitarist and songwriter, and there is no denying that he inspired hundreds of bands and countless of guitarists around the world. However, there's something special and archaic about Varg's riffs. They feel sad, forlorn, and like they're centuries old. It creates a better atmosphere overall and it definitely sets up an emotion of sadness and loss for many of his songs. There are some, however, that punch you in the face, like Lost Wisdom's opening riff and the main riff for War. Either way, they were/are both incredible musicians and I respect their contribution to metal; I will say nothing about either of them as people. There's so much fog around what truly happened and the circumstances of the early black metal scene. I feel they were both at fault for what went down in Norway in the 90's. As I said before though, both are incredible musicians, and I believe it is important to separate the art from the artist. Art takes on its own life after it is created, and if it reaches enough people, the art becomes so far removed from the artist that it can be taken for what it is without regard for who the creator was or is as a person. Fantastic video. I just got into your channel and your music. I'm loving both, and I wish you only good fortune and success.

    Love him or hate him, Varg is the founder of one man black metal bands. Edit: I can see most of the comments saying it was Quorthon of Bathory that did it first since Bathory was one of the pioneers of black metal. Yet, _Bathory didn't become a one man band_ until in the early 2000s. Bathory also abandoned the black metal genre later on leaning towards viking metal. Varg started Burzum _in the early 90s_ making Varg still the founder of one man black metal bands. Fair and square.

    Very nice video, I particularly appreciated your picking technique: precise, smooth and seemingly effortless, concentrating all the momentum on the wrist. Excellent tremolo picking, congratulations!

    Both very underrated guitarists, can you imagine of both had continued to play together and even make Music? Say what you want about Varg, he believes in what he believes, so does Dave Mustaine, etc, but he's a very gifted Musician, Euronymous left a huge mark on metal w Mayhem, two great talents of the guitar in Metal, no doubt. Everyone has tried making riffs like this today is called ''Black Metal''.
