Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Lexus RZ 2023

Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
▶ a frontal impact test where 50% of the width of the car strikes an oncoming deformable barrier, travelling at 50 km/h
▶ a frontal impact test where the car impacts a full-width rigid barrier
▶ a side impact test where a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
▶ a pole test where the car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole and the robustness of the centre airbag is evaluated
▶ a whiplash test performed on a sled.
A series of pedestrian tests are also conducted with different impactors : adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form. As well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests. In 2023 a test scenario for Cyclist Dooring Prevention was introduced.,
Active safety is rated based on the performance of the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car and car-to-motorcycle scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders, fatigue, distraction and impairment), lane support, and speed assistance technologies.

Euroncap needs to start making collisions at higher speeds, don’t understand why they haven’t started yet… on the highway your at 100km or 120km. The impacts are higher .. therefore the mortality is higher.

Because internal organs start to loosen, take damage after 65km, collision after 70 km is Russian roulette. Dead people inside intact cars are nothing special and happen on a normal basis. In fact more people has died from side collisions and pedestrians killed from poor visibility from pillars which becomes bigger and bigger. So the changes in the crash safety regulations when it comes to vehicle rollover has killed more people then the regulations saved people in rollovers. At 90+ km your organs will be destroyed and detached from the tissue, also something called price/weight.

Hi! I´m looking for upper legform test results (on kN and Nm) but I can´t find them on NCAP web, somebody knows where I could find that information? Please help me.
is there are any sensors on those Mannequins to determine the G force that happened inside human body and if his inside organize will be ok or not
Do you make sure it recognizes all skin colors, as Ive come to be aware via social media (with risk of being mislead) that some sensor actually have issues registering all skin colors?

Well i am sold in terms of Safety but since its an EV how do test for battery getting a fire what precaution must passengers and drive take incase unintended battery flaming up.

If an EV has an issue handling the average crash, then the designers didn't engineer the car correctly
