As a Turk. Austria has improved its football a lot. I must admit they are better than us. In the past, the Turkish National Team was very motivated against teams that were stronger than itself. We can't see the motivation in this team. While Hakan Çalhanoğlu plays very well in Italy, he is not good in the national team. I say this despite the goal he scored. Luck will have to be with us. I think, Spain will take cup.

this comment might age badly but here's a fun fact about Romania: most of the players in the starting eleven also played together at the u21 euro 2019 and reached the semifinals. In their minds, they wish a similar experience at this euro

Hey. I'm a Dane, and I was 9 year olds back in 1992. And let me tell you, none of us would ever imagine that we would ever win over Netherland in the Semi. Mind you they were the reigning champions and had a team that would make the current look like sunday league players. I played most of my life as a CB and CM. Always a starter on my teams. BUT. When there were moments that I did come in as a sub. Those were my best performances. I would always ball out. I feel like doing that to their English stars. May give them that motivation to perform.

As a Portuguese, I totally agree with you! We have everything to win the Euro, but we seem to lack when it comes to the actual competition...

English here. Considering England will NOT beat Italy (we will be outplayed and outclassed as usual) I think we should just go out to Slovakia and let other teams have a shot. Don't rule out Romania pulling a shocker or even Denmark vs the hosts!

as a slovak I would really love our team to somehow beat you. your main advantage is that our team can't play tight D as other teams, so we play more of high pressure football. If we got quick goal again and england couldn't cope with it mentally there is our chance. Also there is possibility that you absolutely use all free space we give you and destroy us lol specially against belgium we had luck for next 10 years (but we also had some chances that didn't go our way)

Personally from what i know and what i saw i still think Austria are the dark horse (i thought this before the tournament started) and Spain are playing good football and getting consistent results. I believe spain will win it and Austria have a good shot at getting to a sem final or even a final

To me teams like Austria Denmark and Switzerland play similar style short passing and hard to break down i wouldn't be surprised if one was in the final.

If we Danes win tomorrow, I think it will be something like keeping it zero and take it to pen. We lack strength on the offensive side - to put it mildly - and our kontra most often get ruined by ourself. Unless our lads wake up we have to really grind this one. Denmark is like a box of chocolate. You never know what you're going to get. Looking at form, Denmark has little chance against Germany. One positive for Denmark. They prefer being the underdog, and being out of the group stage, the pressure is off, and they can play more freely. My experience is that we see the best of Denmark after they get out of the group stages.

Spain always play very well in the group stage but in the knockouts, they always play bad in one game that cost them the tournement, so we'll see

The only way it will be hard for Austria will be if Turkey park the bus. If Turkey tries to make the game and play offensively, they will be countered so bad by Austria. The turkish defence is really bad.

As a Portuguese, probably biased, but I think you are being way to negative, we didn't play bad, the B team btw, there were 2 mistakes and we conceded 2 goals, I do think we are going out to France but we still have good chances

Do keep in mind Slovenia and Portugal played eachother just a couple months ago in friendlies and Slovenia won 2 - 0. Granted, it's a totally different situation now, but i still think Slovenia has a chance. We literally destroyed Ukraine. Belgium scored the first goal because we started too slowly, then we had some good chances but we lack on strikers (except Dragus, we don't have a proper goalscorer). The match against Slovakia was kinda balanced since we didn't wanted to risk our qualification. I hope we've learned something from the match against Belgium, cause to be honest Belgium is way over Netherlands nowadays. A hope to draw and then penalties will decide who's the worthy one to advance.

Netherlands barely beat Poland, played a draw against a weak French side without Mbappé and lost to Austria’s second suit. Romania is in good shape as well and if Netherlands beat them they will have to face Austria all over again…and as of right now Austria just looks better.
