Being Welsh I know how it feels to see your country qualify for the first major tournament in decades (1958 for us). But the memories of 2016 will live in my mind forever. Here's hoping Wales and Scotland do well again this year 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. I just hope we get fans in the stadium & able to watch the games in the pubs.

I don't need to disrupt your beautiful memories but since the Euro tournament was expanded to 24 teams in 2016 (it equals to half of the national teams in UEFA which consist of many political subdivisions like UK nations, and micro states like San Marino, Andora, Faro Islands...etc), qualifying for Euros is no longer seen as an achievement. The 16 teams format had a brutal qualifications similar to the World Cup qualifications which UEFA have 13.5 seats. I just don't like the 24 teams format where even the third team in the group passes to the knockout phase.

We co-invented international football , held the first ever international In partick, when i was younger scotland and Brazil held jointly the record for appearances at the wc in a row 5. We are underestimated, that's good for us and we let England off the hook last meet this time though we have the team rather than just individuals of quality, now almost every EPL side has a Scottish international in their ranks.
