I have 1080 cameras and they are supposed to offer full night vision colors, and when we need it the most, the plate numbers were not readible!

I concur! I'm renovating my house and putting cameras in..I spoke with a system integrator and they made sense saying to run POE for my security cameras, since everything is open now. But I really wanted to go with the Eufy eco-system. Didn't realize there could be a solution that will allow me to make a wifi camera poe

Almost, they have all the options and the same top of the line hardware (4K) but they capped the bitrate so you can't see the quality. Faces are still blurry at 5m. Such a shame as they really do have the best software if you don't need the clarity. Basically, a Eufy 4K camera would be similar in quality to Reolink's 2K camera as Reolink allows a much higher bitrate even though it has almost 2.5x the amount of pixels.

any recommendation for the hard drives? I can't find a reliable 2.5-inch hard drive that's rated for 24/7 operation, other than Seagate. I would like to avoid seagate.

I can already see the indoor pan and tilt used outdoors is preferred. Am I missing a product that can compete? I think a solar panel + eufy pan tilt (180 function continous recoding) + internal battery is a dream setup

Great review. Do you think this camera is a significant upgrade over outdoor cam pro 2K? Bitrate is probably just slightly higher on this one. Outdoor cam will also gain Homebase 3 support.

Great video. I wish Eufy would allow you to view all cameras live feed at once on their app. These are wired, so no need to be concerned about battery life. Google nest supports this feature.

Definitely would like to see a video on wiring up camera's that require it

I really like this camera package! It has a lot of elements that I am looking for. However, if you would compare it to Reolink Duo 2 Wifi with their NVR. To your opinion, which one would come out as best?

I was wanting to archive a clip that was not considered an event. I could not figure out how to do is so I chatted with eufy. If you want to do this, go to the live feed of the camera that recorded what you want, then go to the time you want to capture and record it on your device. You can only start and stop the recording outside of the event, but it does work.

Awesome video! Do you have a suggestion for a setup that can support many more cameras (30+)?

IR night vision is better than the color one I think but I like the homebase. The installation part is great!!

Hey I have a Eufy outdoor cam e210 or e220 (not too sure) I had the motion detection on and was wondering if a light turns on whenever something moves? I did turn off the spotlight. Does that help? I’m asking because I have this camera a little hidden from view so that way it doesn’t get knocked down and wouldn’t want it’s location to be discovered

We're you able to view the cameras through the Eufy web portal and Alexa? I keep getting "Establishing a secure channel" on the portal.

You would think that with 24/7 recording, that the motion detection distance would be much greater (than the old IR based eufy cameras). Unfortunately it still seems that motion detection is only good up to 40 ft or so. Is the motion detection range any farther if you turn of "human only"?

I'm not going to lie I really like this review. Will probably buy these cameras just off of the review alone. I don't know how I'll setup the wired cameras but I'll try. I wish solar was a option too

Good to know it was 24 hour recording. That's not necessary for most people. I was considering this camera but I'll be looking into some of their other options.

Have you notice with Eufycams, lot of times when your phone is connected to your home wifi and the homebase is connected to same wifi trying to liveview or look at a recorded even lot of time it just clocks until you try 2-3 times but if you disconnect your phone from you home wifi and it's using it's phone signal that the videos come right up?

Thanks again. I’m curious on what both your mobile & home internet download/upload speeds are, just to get a reference on your notification speeds. I notice your mobile is always around the 2 bars, which in some areas means you can get inconsistent speeds - could be the reason behind the delay in receiving notifications?

I have 1 GIG internet.. as to notifications and you can watch my other videos as well... and with LTE connection, Ring cameras, around 4-6 second range with thumbnails, Eufy most of their cameras around 6-7 seconds on Text and 10 seconds on thumbnail... Reolink is pretty fast around 2-3 seconds but just text. Anyways, the notification speed depends on the brand's respective servers.

I need a camera to detect motion from 30-50 metres. What can you suggest?

I am looking for a camera for 24 hr viewing on a tv screen with 2 to 4 cameras showing at all times. I can get electric to the camera but I cannot run cable to home base. Would this unit be good for this?

Does the 24/7 recording stop when you're in live view? Also, I'm thinking about pairing this with my S330 cameras. Is there a way to allocate a certain number of days of 24/7 recording for this particular camera so it doesn't prematurely over-write my clips from the S330 cameras on the hard drive? For instance, do the settings allow you to limit how many days of 24/7 recording per camera or does the Home Base 3 just group all footage from all the cameras together and overwrite the oldest data?

Something that I don't like so far is that when I'm scanning my playback video at 4x 8x 16x it will play at those speeds mentioned for maybe 15 seconds or so and then it jumps 10 minutes ahead and speeds footage super fast. I actually missed like 4 different people walking by the sidewalk within those 10 minutes. I have to constantly be rewinding footage after every ten or 15 seconds to make sure it maintains the speed I've chosen. Any thoughts on this issue, or do you have that issue?

I’m looking at getting these Eufy cameras and the doorbell E340, is the doorbell compatible with the base that comes with these E330 cameras or will I have to get another base?

I like the Color Coded scale when it shows detection verses continues recording. that Warble Sound the camera microphone picks up, is that caused by being wireless? I hear that warble sound when people use wireless headsets on the phone calls, sounds like they are underwater.

Eufy on their newer cameras have 2 mics which I think it has noise cancellation...it is not great though and hopefully they can improve it or turn it off.

About the audio issue, I obtained from their after-sales team today: eufy's R&D team has noticed the audio issue and fixed it. Now the new version is tested by some user, when they are confirmed it helps, eufy will release it officially to all the users.

I have a few e210 outdoor eufy cameras, and it picks up cars that come down my street around 150 feet away It also picks up anyone locking their car at night when the side lights flash it gives me a notification. I would say the pictures quality is great also but when zoomed, it's not so great, but then again it's only 1080p I was surprised this camera did not pick you up at 50 feet away Eufy is probably the best brand out just now yes there app sometimes is laggy or buggy but it always gets fixed and they always reply to my emails I send them

Is there a way to view all cam live? Or even plug into a monitor.

Installed mine on the weekend and it was going well until today.. for some reason the video was over exposed, Everything looked white, it was good days before, should have hdr or something. Doing to re adjust them to see if its the direct sunlight affecting the exposure

You can remove it by unscrewing the screws but you will not be able to use any other standard mounts.

Kinda disappointing that it doesn't have a backup battery, In case of a power outage you completely lost all the footage. The Nest cam has 24/7 recording once you add a power cord. Too bad eufy doesn't want to compromise their battery cams. You either got battery event-only or wired 24/7 but not a middle ground.

I recently got this same Eufy setup. I was very disappointed with the poor audio quality. I heard the same poor audio from your samples as well. I ended up getting some Eufy 2K indoor cameras and added those to the system. The audio of those cameras was significantly better than the 4K E330 cameras. Hopefully, Eufy will improve this in a future firmware update.

I've also noticed really poor audio quality with Eufy 24/7 E220 cameras I own. I have 6 year-old NEST Outdoor cameras that record crystal clear audio, and can't understand why Eufy cameras are so BAD!

I was really excited for this release, but after watching your review it looks like the product leaves a lot to be desired. Question to the overall group.... What options exist (now that Nest 24/7 is dying) outside of the Dufy E330 for a 24/7 application?

Every POE camera. I have both. The POE cameras don’t have great APPs (at least the one I bought 5 years ago) but they have solid quality and a single UPS provides back up power to the DVR and all the cameras.

I have the Eufy outdoor cam wired and personally I think it picks up sound better than this one. Plus with an SD card you can record 24/7. It's only 2k though. The one thing I hate is the app not being able to group cameras. I'm with you though this review turned me off to buying this.

The sensor is not a low light sensor, you can turn off the spotlight and the IR lights but it will be too dark.

I know Eufy is delayed on their updates.. Currently the ones that I have added to the HB3 are the S40 and all their indoor cams... I haven't tested the other ones though that I am not currently using...

I have been looking almost every day for the last few weeks to see your review of this product was available. I love your reviews so thank you for posting. Someday I looking forward to a product review of a home security camera product that is far closer to perfect than this. But unfortunately it is not this product today. The 24/7 recording is really the only thing that is new here to Eufy. And I already have that with my older Nest cameras (which still work great with the older NEST app but also has issues). From watching your video the audio quality is unacceptable for me. And the user interface in that app still feels like a toy to me. Add to that the inability to watch recorded clips from the web browser keeps me a being a buyer of this product. And even though you can watch a single LIVE camera from your browser you can't watch more than one camera at a time. PS: For those interested the new gen 2 camera from NEST are completely unusable because of the GOOGLE HOME app lacking so many things. Cheers!

The nest system sucks. One of my cameras went out (outdoor iq) and when i replaced it, it just wont connect to the system once they changed to automatic wifi settings vs being able to manually enter it. It just bricks in that automatic process. What a damn shame. Note I’m looking to just replace all of them.

Hi LH, hope you are well. I'm still enjoying your videos, very helpful. Just a quick question please. I initionally purchased the Eufy C24, but now also have the Eufy E330 with Homebase. With the C24, I am able to set 'Motion Detection' to record Human, Pet and other motions. Then for a rich notification, I can select Human, Pet, Crying, All sound and other motions. However on the E330, you cannot select different categories of notifcations, what ever 'Motion Detection' is set to, then this is what notification you get. I would like to set 'Motion Detection' to Human, Vehicle and other motions, but I only want notifications for Human, but this is not possible from what I can see. Are you able to help, or if this is a bug, then could you nudge Eufy to fix it please. Many thanks Indy

As long as its 24/7 that will be great no matter the choppiness. At least you will still see something. The wireless cameras sometimes dont record anything or stay dead/non recording for a long time, till you go into live feed and it starts to be able to record again which is weird. Not sure why they havent fixed this issue.

If they give the option to download the stitched footage, then there will be no choppiness... It will make it easy to share the footage of bad actors to the police or social media than downloading and uploading multiple clips.

I've got that problem too. I turn them all off manually through the app, refresh it a few times and then turn them back on for it to even start recording again. Super annoying. I'll be getting this bundle soon (4x 24/7 cameras with homebase 3) and will be connecting my 2c cameras to it.... hopefully stops the issue

No POE might = no sale for me when I decide to bite the bullet on one of these systems soon. Reolink would probably be my alternative, but I do like the ability to record to the cloud in case the base is stolen or power/network goes down. I still have access to events.

Any idea why is it only at 15ffs ? 30 should be best for 24/7 recording, also why they putting those tiny lights in to cameras and not increase number of IR leds instead, my 2c pros had much better nite time videos because of 8 IR leds new 3c have only 6 and its worse nite time video
