Lord Howard is one of my favorite Tories and politicians. Highly intelligent and a great debater. He was definitely a asset for Leave. I was more politicians were as well spoken and articulate. His PMQs with Blair are a real blast to watch. Its a shame that all of these students are brainwashed and most likely voted Remain anyway.
This was a very well delivered speech. He got there in the end!
But did he threaten to overrule him?
I've always rather disliked Michael Howard, but I fully agree with him here.

+AntPDC He does not particularly have the likeability factor that politicians need but has a first class intellect

Using this speech for the Express news article from today.. brilliant speech
I miss old school politicians like Michael Howard. I do not agree with his views on many things but he was always competent, dignified and polite in his dealings unlike the rabble we have now in all parties

A professional, competent, and reserved Nigel Farage.
Why hasn't this man been given much more airtime his views are well argued and rational

I disagree. He failed to mention that the members of the European Council would have a veto on an issue such as becoming a United States of Europe (or a single country).

Cwyfan ap Rhys Oh, well, that changes everything then. There's no democratic deficit whatsoever in that case. /s Honestly, talk about clutching at straws. Again and again, you Remainers feel the need to pretend that there is no downside whatsoever to EU membership. Even when you do admit there are any downsides, you dismissively claim that they can be overcome by "Remaining and Reforming". You talk as though such Reform would be a piece of cake, yet never acknowledge that even the slightest Reform has, by design, proven absolutely impossible to date. In any case, no-one in the Remain camp lobbied for such Reform before the referendum was on the table, so do they really want the "Reform" but, or just the "Remain" bit? In general, voters aren't stupid, and they can tell when the elites and their mouthpieces are trying to sell them a pup. Hence, at the time of writing, we are out, and the transition period will end in less than a year. Perhaps Remain would have won with a bit of honesty: "Yes, there are significant undesirable elements to EU membership, and Reforming them is unlikely, but those downsides are outweighed by the upsides, which are..." But instead, legitimate concerns were haughtily dismissed, time and time again, and, well, here we are. "If we concede any kind of point to Farage and the other undesirables then we'll be giving them credibility and we'll lose!" Well, you lost anyway, didn't you?

Germany should never have self rule a socialist German government is a bad idea they had that in 1939 with a man called Hitler the Berlin wall was why we had peace in Europe it should have never have been took down
Project fear turned out to be way too positive. Brexit is an absolute nightmare
Fantastic
The continent of Europe......includes England.
You looked up "debate lord".
The Commonwealth is/was ....A British Institution, say no more....
He's a Lord?
Tumbrel number 17.
What would Howard say to all those who lie 'in a Foreign Field". Those who gave their lives to free Europe. Even after all these years the pomposity of the speaker is unbearable.
lol Europe is so difficult, no nato no eu no other countries. Just stay? Surely no one cares and they won't have to move its just some bureaucratic move these countries will have to and will still talk to each other, any kind of move would only be an expensive shuffle of power to who gets to talk to who.

9:33 The interjector makes an important point saying that's the way the EU works. Diversity, he says. If it is good enough for the other countries why not for Britain? That can only make sense if we really want - and are able - to arrive at a situation where Europe is actually simply one country and where all the different cultures, interests and languages coalesce and really are as one. In reality that can't make sense. Diversity is actually the thing that stops that outcome.
Este hombre es Una verguenza para inglaterra
Totally specious no genuine analysis on the economic benefits of brexit, no facts.
What a rubbish question....
anyone with a measured IQ, after listening to this should only have one choice on brexit, and that would be to leave. the only reason to not vote leave is because you to embrassed to now admit you wrong and you trying to save face.
